Memorizing Bani

Sangat Ji, I have been trying to memorize (know by heart) Jaapji Sahib but I been unsuccessful so far....does anyone have suggestions or advice?

memorize 1 pauri at a time.

and use the same gutka when u read it.

when memorizing bani, the imprints of the gutka and how the bani is wirtten in each page comes in our minds, so its easier to memorize it.

so its best to stick to the same gutka.

and listening to bani help memorization, but memorizing each pauri works best.

just add a pauri at your own pace, you'll get it.

As Babbar Shere paji suggested, one Pauri at a time makes it easier. I also memorize one line of a pauri at a time, once i know it well, i learn the next, and so on until the pauri is memorize then i moce on the next pauri.

yhh and listening to bani helps TONNES trust me..... after a couple of times .. u will be able to recite along ... really helps! :s

dont miss your nitnem and you'll automatically memorize it

Also just to add to the above when you have learnt a "sufficient" amount so to speak, record yourself, and then play it back whilst following with a GutkaSahib just to ensure you are on the right track!

if it is your nitnem bani - what i suggest is just do the bani daily and you will memorise it in a few short months -
