You are very right. But looking at the life that is full of pressure these days ,it may not be possible to develop a feeling Of Detatchment.Man is also responsible for duties toward family and society. These duties cannot be effectively duscharged by a person of Bairagi awastha. One has to have some ego as well during this stage.Haume is sickening and is an impediment in achieving Goak.Even , shiv, vishnu and Brahma could not control Haume. But I do agree that Biarag is the state of mind .

Has anyone of you felt "Bairaag", its the best thing that can happen, especially to a paapi like me!

I cannot define bairaag, you just get the kirpa from Guru, but bairaag to me is like having a face wash, and its radiant, you become radiant after bairaag, you feel peace and you feel that your not on the earth, its great!

Our senses are already controlled, if they weren't we would fall in the category of animals. Don't force yourself to look "SIKH", the definition of which has been changed now. Forcing will only worsen your love for creation/creator.

You have been given the ticket yo enjoy this worldly play, so enjoy and die : ). Simple as that..

We dont even deserve to be in the category of animals. Animals live under pure divine law where as a human mind runs under the influence of 5 evils. We are nowhere near animals, our brain is worster than of reptilian's. Animals kill for food because they have to in order to survive where as humans kill for pleasure, fun and enjoyment. Our senses are being controlled by the panj chor.

You have been given the ticket to have this human form so difficult to obtain. It is in this life where you are able to realise your existence and obtain freedom from these reincarnations. IF we just play, enjoy and die and not try our best to defeat 5 evils, serve the guru then its gone as a waste. Dont think you will be out of circle then, we will be born again. God knows when we going to get this human life again. So this is the chance, give it your best shot, its a game of life and death. Those who put effort in, GOD helps them. God does not help the ignorant.

meaning of sikh is the servant of the true guru. A true sikh will serve the guru, follow his teachings and put them into practice. The true gursikh that folllows Guru's teaching, GOD himself relieves him out of the influence of maya and panj chors. That gursikh is then ferried across.

Great Lord God works in mysterious ways. GOD talks to us everyday, he could send a message to us through our own bodies, through our friends, family, anywhere, on this website in a post. but do we listen to him? most of the times we don't...we just ignore and listen to our own EGO instead. For example yesterday GOD through my little young brother reminded me "IF you help others, GOD will help you". Because of Guru Ji's kirpa this moorakh was able to understand that it was HIM sending a message to me.

GOD loves everyone equally. There is no one special to GOD. God is single-vision. GOD wants to help all of us but the question is Do we want to help ourselves?

Perfect Student veer ji what you wrote above is something most of us on this forum already know. Tell me something deeper thn that, something that gives goosebumps.

ps: If getting the human ticket was that hard why is the human population of the world increasing like crazy???

Perfect Student's post was very informative. BANDA veerji, if a post does not reach your standards please do not bother replying to it. Personally, I never thought of us being less than animals. That kind of thinking made me feel more insignificant, more humble.

Baanee says only the lucky and fortunate get this chance to jap naam. Should we try to justify baanee with what our senses tell us about the world and the universe? (Your statement about the human population increasing) One answer to your question is that our world isn't the only world that exists in this universe. In Jap Ji sahib, it says:

kyqIAw krm BUmI myr kyqy kyqy DU aupdys ]

kaetheeaa karam bhoomee maer kaethae kaethae dhhoo oupadhaes ||

So many worlds and lands for working out karma. So very many lessons to be learned!

kyqy ieMd cMd sUr kyqy kyqy mMfl dys ]

kaethae ei(n)dh cha(n)dh soor kaethae kaethae ma(n)ddal dhaes ||

So many Indras, so many moons and suns, so many worlds and lands.

We cannot understand God's play, can we?

    • If relationship with Guru is strong, then kanga is done twice a day, and turban should never be taken off or put on like a hat, there is a lot wrong with that as it is against rehit! maryada is to take off every layer of turban/pagh/dumalla individually, and tie fresh turban each time!
    • the whole 'your husband/wife is chosen for you'/sanjog thing is real, it's just that a lot of people end up marrying the wrong person. they did not end up with the person that was meant for them. my friend, you should marry someone who you feel a connection with and love. there are millions of sikh girls, i'm sure you can find someone who aligns with your sensibilities and who you can truthfully say that you love. sikhi does not say anything against love marriages. you can also be in a loveless arranged marriage which is a safe option b/c both families are more inclined to keep the union intact. i was one of those people who was like meh, i guess i'll just get arranged to some sikh. well i finally started dating for the first time this year and i'm getting married to someone that i love and cannot even imagine leaving. i think it's better to have lost & lost than never loved at all. unfortunately, a lot of people confuse love w/ looks & lust. a lot of men go for the fittest girl they can find and think they won the jackpot or something. in reality, your partner should be like an extremely loved best friend. there's a reason why it's a fact that the most stable and long-lasting relationships started as friendships.  i also think a lot of women are petty and divorce over small reasons, but there's other terrible things like high cheating rates as well. that's why the divorce rate in the west is high. be careful out there.
    • andrew tate praises sikhi too & likes sikhs. his brother also donated to sikh families iirc. they just like any "alpha" religion and tbh islam is the most "alpha" in their eyes. islam is very good at promoting that image. but imo a real alpha man doesn't command respect by beating up his wive(s) or forcing them to wear a burqa. a real man will have his woman listen to him w/o raising a hand or his voice, and command respect by being respectful. he leads by example and integrity. that's true masculinity. you get the idea. + yes, it's definitely true that islam is growing rapidly and making massive inroads. strength in numbers + belief will do that. but rlly it's just because of the birth rate. a lot of them are muslim b/c it's their "identity" just like how a lot of young sikhs will say they're "culturally sikh" or whatever. there just aren't billions of sikhs who lambast their identity everywhere and have strict and linear rules like in islam. besides, the reality is that islam and its followers are some of the most morally bankrupt. you can see all the weird trans rules in iran, bacche baazi in afghanistan, visiting brothels, watching p*rn, p*dophilia what goes on behind the scenes in countries like uae & qatar, etc, and come to your conclusions. you can google all the stats yourself and see which countries do the most of these ^.
    • stop associating with hinduism, that's the absolutely worst thing you can do as a sikh. not sure if you noticed but the entire world looks down upon and spits at india & hindus, literally no one respects them and considers them weak and cowardly. literally 1+ billion of them but not perceived as a strong religion commandeering respect.
    • you wrote a whole lot but told us nothing. what exactly did you do wrong to make you feel this way?
