I can see that you are an intelligent yet angry person. and anger must forst be removed from a discussion to be logical. you say would I not consider you a brother if you had khalistan. of course i would...But there is a fundamental paradoz. if i would consider you a brother then i would never let you be divided from us. You make a mistake of assuming that you are the only group that has suffered injustice at the hands of someone else in india. We all have....but you need to read newspapers and books and see the news and make logical interpretations before you realise that...

One of fundamental flaw in this statement is think before partition you might have said same thing to muslims for Pakistan.

No there are many people kashmiri, assamese, naxal movement. They say about 12 movements for independence in India.Newspapers are censored. Do you have any intelligence the entire media is heavily censored.

The govt. of India is in disarray because of a falwed system that needs to be reformed at the social level and at the political level. the social reform is just this...that bias on the basis of religion should be minimized. that is what i am trying to do. But you seem to not agree with that. You think Canada and America are safe havens when you very well know that the White population will always look at you with suspicion (even though i wish that would not happen). you will go ahead and be friends with someone who does not share your language or religion but look away when you meet your brothers from india. This is just plain sad...

The reforms will never occur. At least i can guarantee that in last 25 years there was no mass govt sponsored riots in Canada and us against any minority. See Judiciary is 1000 times better there. You cannot be given ministry after you do riots (Jagdesh Tytler). You are just kid with no idea of facts. Give me facts kid.

Unfortunately like many other people in this discussion Mr. Bijla you do not chose your words as carefully as you should. you say that I am asking Sikhs to suffer more. How can you make that interpretation when all i want is you to understand the problems of india and in that light make a proper judgement of what is really going on and what has really happened in the past. Indians take pride in their Sikh brothers and as much as you want t disprove it. You will not be able to. the only thing you have in your favor is a couple of things that the Indian govt. did that are injustices to the Sikhs. I agree that they are/ have been wrong and something must be done about it. But your way is not the right way. the slightest bit of knowledge about the indian political system would make you understand that the people are not always responsible for the govts. acts...

The govt is made of people. See the fundamental flaw in your ideology is see movies sikhs are portrayed as Jokers or terrorists.

Right.

See the Haryana in eightees.

Delhi riots were done by people.

Gujrat riots are done by people.

It is people that form govt.

It is general perception.

You might elect one person as the ruler who seems to have good intentions but later in find out that they are not the people you thought them to be....and on top of everything...the Sikhs voted too...

Do you really thinks sikh votes have any affect. Maths

The main perception is ideology of Hindu groups as RSS.

See talk about Muslims and Chritians also, or it gives me feeling that the guy is RSS one.

Muslims are also same to sikhs as Hindus are.

Just reply i love them and i never run away i will answer all.

Regards.

The World Sikh Organization of Canada (WSO) expresses concern at unacceptable attempts by the Indian Government to silence "freedom of speech", a fundamental right of Canadian-Sikhs.

In response to the display of banners supporting advocacy of Sikh self-determination in India at recent Sikh Vaisakhi parades in Surrey and Rexdale, Indian Consul General, Ashok Kumar, has told Canadian Press, "We are in touch with Canadian authorities on a regular basis, and we would like to see more progress on this issue... so that this signage, these slogans, these banners are not displayed."

Such interference in the freedom of speech of Sikh Canadians is completely unacceptable. "Mr. Kumar is reminded that unlike in his native India, freedom of speech is a jealously guarded right in Canada, and his desire to silence the voice of Canadian-Sikhs will not be tolerated by Canadians" said Gurpreet Singh Bal, President WSO Canada.

Since 1984, the Indian Government, in its attempt to crush the Sikh freedom movement in India, has killed tens of thousands of innocent men, women and children. Just few weeks ago, Human Rights Watch reported on India's "abysmal" human rights record, where the State is responsible for torture, arbitrary detentions, killings and disappearances.

"Rather than toeing the Indian Government propaganda, the Canadian Government, and other elected leaders need to learn to defend Canadians' basic right to freedom of speech and freedom of association," said Gian Singh Sandhu, Senior Policy Advisor of WSO.

WSO is a non-profit organization with a mandate to promote and protect the interests of the Sikh Diaspora, as well as to promote and advocate for the protection of human rights for all individuals, irrespective of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, and social and economic.

WSO has been condemning all kinds of violence since its inception and firmly believe that Sikh Canadians have a right to peacefully commemorate genocide inflicted on their brethrens and keep their cause & memory alive. Before interfering in Canadian affairs, the Indian Government is advised to clean up its own act.

I agree with you rajat Singh when u state sikhs are not the only freedom fighters of India...thats obviously true.

and that prime minister of India is just a puppet on a string. ..trust me. If india's PM was not a puppet, there would have been justice for 84 by now ...but thats not the case. What sikhs have faced is compared to the same ideology used agaisnt jewish people under hitler.

    • If relationship with Guru is strong, then kanga is done twice a day, and turban should never be taken off or put on like a hat, there is a lot wrong with that as it is against rehit! maryada is to take off every layer of turban/pagh/dumalla individually, and tie fresh turban each time!
    • the whole 'your husband/wife is chosen for you'/sanjog thing is real, it's just that a lot of people end up marrying the wrong person. they did not end up with the person that was meant for them. my friend, you should marry someone who you feel a connection with and love. there are millions of sikh girls, i'm sure you can find someone who aligns with your sensibilities and who you can truthfully say that you love. sikhi does not say anything against love marriages. you can also be in a loveless arranged marriage which is a safe option b/c both families are more inclined to keep the union intact. i was one of those people who was like meh, i guess i'll just get arranged to some sikh. well i finally started dating for the first time this year and i'm getting married to someone that i love and cannot even imagine leaving. i think it's better to have lost & lost than never loved at all. unfortunately, a lot of people confuse love w/ looks & lust. a lot of men go for the fittest girl they can find and think they won the jackpot or something. in reality, your partner should be like an extremely loved best friend. there's a reason why it's a fact that the most stable and long-lasting relationships started as friendships.  i also think a lot of women are petty and divorce over small reasons, but there's other terrible things like high cheating rates as well. that's why the divorce rate in the west is high. be careful out there.
    • andrew tate praises sikhi too & likes sikhs. his brother also donated to sikh families iirc. they just like any "alpha" religion and tbh islam is the most "alpha" in their eyes. islam is very good at promoting that image. but imo a real alpha man doesn't command respect by beating up his wive(s) or forcing them to wear a burqa. a real man will have his woman listen to him w/o raising a hand or his voice, and command respect by being respectful. he leads by example and integrity. that's true masculinity. you get the idea. + yes, it's definitely true that islam is growing rapidly and making massive inroads. strength in numbers + belief will do that. but rlly it's just because of the birth rate. a lot of them are muslim b/c it's their "identity" just like how a lot of young sikhs will say they're "culturally sikh" or whatever. there just aren't billions of sikhs who lambast their identity everywhere and have strict and linear rules like in islam. besides, the reality is that islam and its followers are some of the most morally bankrupt. you can see all the weird trans rules in iran, bacche baazi in afghanistan, visiting brothels, watching p*rn, p*dophilia what goes on behind the scenes in countries like uae & qatar, etc, and come to your conclusions. you can google all the stats yourself and see which countries do the most of these ^.
    • stop associating with hinduism, that's the absolutely worst thing you can do as a sikh. not sure if you noticed but the entire world looks down upon and spits at india & hindus, literally no one respects them and considers them weak and cowardly. literally 1+ billion of them but not perceived as a strong religion commandeering respect.
    • you wrote a whole lot but told us nothing. what exactly did you do wrong to make you feel this way?
