But in India too I have seen that those cities with high and unrestrained immigration rates happen to register a jump in crimes.

So there is obviously a link between immigration and crime. The problem in places like UK etc is that a lot of Albanian criminal gangs have taken asylum in UK, and more importantly they have been allowed asylum. Then there is the likes of Russian mobsters and their gangs too. And then there are drug-pushers mainly belonging to a few communities (it is not PC to say this though), and all sorts are being managed under a convenient politically correct, affirmative action mandate. While some still reform, many don't.

Those of you blaming immigration. Scotland has infinitely less immigration than London yet knife and violence is even worse. So quit blaming foreigners.

Another thing is lack of religion in peoples lives. As society becomes broken with selfish indiviualism, especially in urban area's, they do not care about their responsibility towards their community and the greater society. Kids are raised with disregard or respect for other people. Only faith gives them moral boundaries, guidence and a structure to their lives.

None of these old reasons apply any more, these "kids" are plain sadistic! The majority of them simply cannot be reached out to or helped. I have seen infront of my own eyes kids from middle class backgrounds acting worse than those from underprivileged ones.

Crime isn't for money any more, its for fun. An example, search "happy slapping". 15 year olds are going around setting homeless people on fire as part of a night out, kick someones head in for bumping into you, there is NO way of justifying this. I am sure those from poorer backgrounds or broken families who are actually decent humans would be insulted at the idea that these things are being used as excuses for the behaviour of animals.

All of this culture has arisen due to those in power always compensating for wrong behaviour. Its high time we stopped making excuses and realise that we need to bring back some bloody discipline and call what is wrong wrong.

They deserve none of our time and we should no longer allow them to ruin this country, I say national service is the answer. Police being allowed to actually do their job without the hippy "our right's" brigade poking thier noses in as usual wouldn't be so bad either!

well basicly so far this year there have been 19 teenagers murdered in London alone

Thoguht we could discuss how we as a community can help to stop the gang-culture that seems to be taking over cities.

Has any one ever carried a weapon? other than kirpan with intent to maybe use it?

It's a vicious cycle, when kids start taking up arms in the street and killing each other with them and govt isnt providing secruity then other kids start taking up arms to protect themselves.

Solution is not simple, but they can start by first providing basic secruity (ie more police on streets especially council estates). The basic requirement of any nation and its government is to protect its citizens. If a govt cant do that then there is no need to recognise the authority of such a govt and people will make their own arrangements for defence.
