The net has been spread out, and the bait has been scattered; like a bird, you are being trapped.

[JustME]

aaaaaaaaaah waheguru describes our state so perfectly.......and most importantly He offers us a way out.........hope.............whether we are willing to take the hand that is always extended to us.........that is another question............

Turmoil is like a tidal wave in the ocean..........let it come, acknowledge it, understand it but dont accoiate urself with the turmoil, that is NOT who you are........and slowly but surely it will pass through you......if you are the very water itself, how can you drown?............

They wander around lost, trapped in the myriad bonds of Maya; they do not sing the Praises of the Treasure of Virtue.

Their minds are engrossed in poison and corruption. ||3||

Depends. If one is a sinner, one may or may not know/acknowledge it. If he/she knows it, he/she better take steps to improve himself/herself. If he/she doesn't, too bad then. Realization of being a sinner is when one in fact intends to improve. Realization is more than just knowing/acknowledging. So I think being a sinner and realizing that one is a sinner most likely are 2 different things.

Youth and old age - my entire life has passed, but I haven't done any good.

This priceless soul has been treated as if if were worth no more than a shell. ||3||

andrahu jin kaa moh tutaa tin kaa sabad sachai savaari-aa.

Those who eradicate attachment from within themselves, are adorned with the Shabad, the Word of the True Lord.

kahai naanak ayhu anand hai aanand gur tay jaani-aa. ||7||

Says Nanak, this alone is bliss - bliss which is known through the Guru. ||7||

'Andradhu' Jin Kaa Moh Tutaa. 'Andradhu': while 'still' living with all these worldly relations, and yet remaining indifferent to the attachment of these from 'within'.

Realize that God is in everyone. Love everyone realizing that he exists everywhere. There is nothing but him. Everywhere. You will have no worldly attachments left in you but only his love...and thats no attachment. It must be something else much more fragrant. A pleasant aroma beyond description.
