Sikh means disciple. To say it means learner would be saying students of science are Sikhs. Keep it in context of Sikhi, Sikh means disciple of Guru Sahib. The word learner does not describe Sikhs completely and is used in some circumstance to mislead, what a Sikh truly is.

Also I take it when Inder Singh said, the following, "Sikhi is to be lived and not studied" means you will not know Sikhi completely without living it. Guru Nanak Dev ji has told us many times using the Brahmin example to practice Sikhi and truly experience Truth.

Quoute: If one wants to know sikhi one has to put his/her own efforts.

Then theres defo no need for saints/holymen.

You have also misunderstood what Inder Singh has said here. No one recieve anything withou effort, dedication. Saints are being who are attuned to the Lord's praise. They have the knowledge the True Guru spoke and everyone can learn from this wisdom. Saint teach the message and are very much needed. The presence of Saints can uplift individuals because they live an breath the True Guru's words. The sangat of True Saints is very uplifting for the soul.

Saints/Babar hide the real Sikhism from the sangat.

I firmly believe cos if the sangat knew the Sikhism the above mentioned people wouldnt make any money.

They dont translate any philosophy teaching or ethics.

For example they dont talk about supertistions and how we shouldnt believe in them, instead they keep us in the dark, so the our people wont be uplifted.

I have heard translations of the word Guru and it could be termed as someone who takes you out darkness. Thats what our Gurus done with their philosophy.

With bogus bar/saints all you hear is what they (know) most of them actually know they are doing badmashi, by making money out people with their methods.

Any preacher should have the thought of Dont take from me take from where I have taken (taken from SGGS)

Not only that this rogue organization do not believe in existence of God.

1) Do not believe naam simran

2) Do not believe in Waheguur as Gurmantra

3) Do not believe in Amritvela

4) Do not believe in concept of Karma. reincarnation

5) Do not believe in Amrit of Guru gobind singh

6) do not believe that hair is necessary for a sikh.

They say that SGGS was not compiled by guru Arjan Dev ji. These are thuggery practices.

wowww i never knew any of this.... why aren't any Sikhs taking them out of the Gurdwara... Is there anything being done about them.... This is crazy

NOT funny and NOT the truth.

Gurpreet should never have gone this far, "nindya" is one thing, but this is the next level. He has also openly slandered the great Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji. Gurpreet was better off to carry on bowing to Jeonwala, being the Chela he has always been to the Canadian Singh Sabha International.

Fordcapri, I understand that you're against bad babas and superstitions. It's all the more baffling then, for me to understand why you're against S. Dhadrianwale, who speaks against superstitions.

Saints/Babar hide the real Sikhism from the sangat.

I firmly believe cos if the sangat knew the Sikhism the above mentioned people wouldn’t make any money.

People give money to S. Dhadrianwale exactly because he shows normal, real Sikhism to people. I.e., take amrit, read bani, and do what it says. They give money to further the parchar.

They don’t translate any philosophy teaching or ethics.

Yes, he does. Have you listened to any of his divans or CDs? They are available on the Internet.

Gurbani and Bhai Gurdas Ji are full of philosophy, teaching, and ethics. That's what he translates from.

If you think otherwise, please provide a clip in which he asks the sangat to wear jadu-tune (amulets).

For example they don’t talk about supertistions and how we shouldn’t believe in them, instead they keep us in the dark, so the our people wont be uplifted.

Again, he does talk against superstitions.

I have heard translations of the word Guru and it could be termed as someone who takes you out darkness. That’s what our Gurus done with their philosophy.

Yes, it's true the literal meaning of guru is leading out of darkness.

With bogus bar/saints all you hear is what they (know) most of them actually know they are doing badmashi, by making money out people with their methods.

Again, everybody is against bad babas. As for S. Dhadrianwale, you don't even have to give a single penny or paisa if you don't want to.

Any preacher should have the thought of “Don’t take from me take from where I have taken” (taken from SGGS)

That's exactly what S. Dhadrianwale does, tell people to connect with Guru Granth Sahib. If you're already connected with Guru Sahib, then I guess you might think S. Dhadrianwale is superflouous. His parchar is mainly for people that have no clue what Sikhi is.

Though I haven’t mentioned Dhadrewale in this thread I am not a fan of him.

The video below that I saw was enough for me to be put off as well as the self styled tag of Saint which he has decided to carry.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jocEc7ntoOc

A few other things “Sant Baba Mann Singh” I saw a video of him reciting parth while sitting in freezing cold water.

What on earth was he trying to prove, some sort of illusion or magic.

The sarths/yogis use to do this type of thing in the time of Guru Nanak Sahib and he spoke out against them.

Myself I would rather speak with Sikh intellectuals who not only have knowledge Sikhism but its application/view point in such thing things as Social society, politics, and generally in your day to day life.

fordcapri,

Many Sants are also intellectuals, but with the difference that they have real life experiences with Gurbani as opposed to the purely academic approach most new-age scholars adhere to. There is a world of difference between spiritual intellectuals/schoalrs like Gyani Gurbachan Singh Ji Bhinderawale, Sant Amir Singh Ji, Sant Waryam Singh Ji, Sant Jagjit Singh Ji, Bhai Veer Singh Ji...etc, and Sikh "scholars" who are devoit of divine grace and simply rely on their limited human intellect.

This is what is causing massive problems at the momment. Human logic is very limited and under the direct control of Five Vices, and their countless minions. These scholars will mold history and Gurbani arths to their logic, while divinely blessed intellectuals will mold their thinking according to the wisdom of Satguruji.

Depending on your level of learning skills, you can access Sikhi through great Gurmukh vidhvaans of the past (through their recorded katha and written veechars). Most of our kaum is not up to that level of understanding, so they need small doses, which is what Parchariks like Baba Ranjit Singh ji provide. Results are there to see. Close to 220,000 people have directly taken Guruji's Amrit from their jatha, while those who have changed their lives and become better people is several times this number.

If you feel you need deeper veechars and fewer sakhis, then by all means listen to Baba Jagjit Singh ji or recorded katha of Gyani Gurbachan Singh Ji.

Don't be under the false impression that "Sant Baba's" are an un-educated bunch like the missionary-types will want you to believe.

Video of Canada's Dusht Gurpreet "Singh"

DUSHT GURPREET OF CANADA COMMITS RELIGIOUS BLASPHEMY, MAKES A MOCKERY OUT OF KHALSA BANA AND DIRECTLY INSULTS SANT BABA THAKUR SINGH JI OF DAMDAMI TAKSAL

Mini School Missionary’s Help

Out of the many new anti-Panthic videos uploaded for people around the world online in light of the Babbu Mann controversy, recently on 8 November 2009, a Gurpreet “Singh” of Canada has offended thousands of Sikhs worldwide after not only committing religious blasphemy and attacking Sikh Parcharaks, but also directly insulting and calling the nations respected Pooran Brehmgiani Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji of Damdami Taksal a liar who confused people for twenty years.

Gurpreet is well-known to be a missionary of the Canadian Singh Sabha International, the right hand man of the atheist ‘Jeonwala’, a “chela” of the notorious Harjinder Dilgeer, and a diehard follower of the Kala Afghana anti-Panthic lobby. He also once worked for the Punjab Police, just like his Guru, Gurbaksh “Singh” Kala Afghana, who is a retired high ranking Punjab Police inspector.

This anti-Panthic missionary sings in the style of a (non-religious) Kavishri, who in this irreligious song is talking to his mother, calling her “Bebe”, about becoming a “Sant”. In the video while singing, he is holding on to a jacket that rests on his back in an attempt to “look younger” than his age, similar to a pose often seen in old Bollywood photographs, or in backward areas of India today.

Throughout the song, derogatory remarks are made against the true Parcharaks, as well as Sant Mahapurakhs of the past and present. In short, Gurpreet makes a mockery out of “white Bana”, of wearing a “Khanda and Dumalla”, of standard living, keeping a car (for Sikhi Parchar), of telling Sikh history “Sakhiya”, remembering Sant Mahapurakhs or respected preachers by organising “Barsi” programmes in their memory, and using “Chimte & Dholkiya”, a remark similar to that made by Babbu Mann which is blasphemous to not only present Parcharaks, but countless from the past as well. It seems that even something as simple as “smelling good” is considered to be anti-Sikh from this atheists point of view. Perhaps these missionary atheists have their own “Maryada” opposite to that of Sikhism, where staying clean is not considered to be good?

Gurpreet ridiculously supposes Gurmat Parchar is Manmat Parchar, and unfortunately like many people, Babbu Mann to name one, mixes the names of true Sant Mahapurakhs with the fake. Where he has used the names of the fake Lightawala Baba from Noormehal and the Chicagowala Baba, in the same song Gurpreet slyly goes on to talk about Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji throughout a whole verse. This fool, who is unlikely to be forgiven for many births, directly claims like his mentor Inder Ghagga (an enemy of Guru Gobind Singh Ji) that (Sant Baba) Thakur Singh (Ji) lied for twenty years, no one or any Jathedar spoke in front of him, everyone followed him, and until death he did not disclose his (Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji’s) secrets, that this was a “stunt”, and that every year his Barsi will come, where Sangat will celebrate it with “Sharda”.

This video has been spread over the internet widely by followers of the excommunicated Panth-enemy Kala Afghana, but Sikhs are in the process of getting it banned in the nearest time possible.

The power of those like Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji, who were the epitome of humbleness, is incomparable and achievable only perhaps over many lifetimes. Instead of slandering and attempting to conduct himself like a “young rebel”, perhaps if Gurpreet got out of his web of ego and did the immense Bhagti that Mahapurakhs like Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji did (or had from birth), the amount of Sewa they did and the number of Shaheed families they helped throughout their life right until their last breath, then maybe even a few people in the Khalsa Panth may recall this “Gurpreet of Canada!”

In a shocking event held at the Chandni Convention Centre in Brampton on 15 November 2009, the Canadian Singh Sabha International and other followers of the Kala Afghana lobby organised an event that involved future “nindaks” in the making. Mini school missionary’s were taught and made to falsely imitate Sant Dhadrianwale in an offensive ‘school-play’ type performance. Gurpreet re-sung his song here in front of other fellow missionary’s, which was followed by more bogus “Kavishri’s” who kept to their standard of slandering Sant Mahapukhs like Sant Baba Thakur Singh Ji. Later, everyone danced to Bhangra music. Have these heretics no shame? Even small naive children who should have one day grown-up to be the future Sikh youth are being moulded and created into anti-Panthic heretics.

Later on 21 November 2009, the same overweight person made a part-two of his “Babe Ji Main Sant Banu Ga” offensive ridicule, claiming he forgot to sing a couple of other stanzas. Here, Gurpreet has reiterated some of his so-called “jokes” from the longer part-one version, but makes a serious mockery out of wearing the traditional Sikh dress of a “Chola without a pyjami” (only with a “Keshera”). Gurpreet does not understand and is ignorant to the fact that this is an established Sikh dress code that has been worn by Singh’s for hundreds of years. One Sikh has become famous for writing an edited version of this song for Gurpreet to re-sing, the one he should have sung in reality. It is titled “Bebe Ji Main Dangar Bann Gaya”. Brilliant lyrics that have given a slap on Gurpreet face go along the lines of “Santa Di Main Nindya Karda, Paiseya Wala Jhola Bharda” and “Hun Ta Mainu Hai Dar Lagdaa, Bhindranwala Pichaa Kardaa” etc. The full lyrics of the song can be read on AttackOnSikhiParchar.blogspot.com.

Gurpreet lives outside of India in Canada. Therefore he cannot get away with religious blasphemy like Babbu Mann is able to in India due to his powerful contacts in high places. Sikhs have urged Panthic Jathebandia to support them by peacefully protesting against this menace and are considering to involve the authorities for hurting the religious sentiments of Sikhs around the world.

"Bebe Ji Main Dangar Bann Gaya" says the atheist "Gurpreet of Canada"

Someone has brilliantly written the following poem about the atheist “Gurpreet of Canada” which is quickly being forwarded in emails, on You Tube video comments and Sikh forums. We now request a Panthic individual to sing these excellent lyrics in a form similar to that of Gurpreet:

One Day by mistake, this Gurpreet Sinh said the truth...what was that:

bebay ji main dangar bann gaya

nindya karan wala kanjar bann gaya

santa di main nindya karda

paiseya wala jhola bharda

sikh hon da naam main karkey

jagg ton karda puraa pardaa

ehna santa ne kamm aukha kitaa

mere jhooth do kholta feetaa

pehla maas te ehnaa haraya

fer dasam Granth nu main hath paya

New york vich sanu maar bhajaya

fer santa da kita parchaar

keha oh ta bhaj gaye haar

jhooth bol apna naam main karr gaya

bebay ji main Dangar bann gaya

nindya karan wala kanjar bann gaya

delhi vich fer mere yaar

dasam di layi baddi stall

uthay singha di jagoo aa gayi

naam sadaa mitti ch malaa gayi

hun ta mainu hai dar lagdaa

bhindrawala pichaa kardaaa

dass kithay main bhaj jawaa

kithay jaa ke jaan bachawaa

inder ne fer gal sunayi

kann khol ke sunn la bhai

guru sahib de je ladd lagg je

dasam granth di nindya chadd dey

Guru samrath bakshan haar

ho ju tera beda paar
