Gurbani states Gurmat is the true dharam for all time (4 jugs).

Bani also states that Satguru is ever-present.

And that there have been Bhagats in every age.

Combined, this basically means Sikhi has been around (in gupt form) ever since man remembered God, and God had grace upon him. It is in pargat (manifest) form after Baisakhi Day 1699 and the hukum (command) for devotees is different too.

I have always believed their is a spiritual hierarchy , Sikhi being at the top since its the only Dharam which the the Jiv can reach full liberation. Thus one who is born in the house of Sat Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj is most fortunate.

That is not to say that all other religions are bad and shouldnt be tolerated. I think if a Muslim does some form of Bhagti maybe pray 5 times a day they will eventually been born into the house of Guru Ji. Same with a Hindu if they do Meditation then they too will reap some fruit and take birth in Guru Jis house. Or if a Christian does good charitable deeds they too will get the fortune of being born into Sat Guru Nanak Dev Jis house and reach liberation. By doing simran, seva, etc one gets good fortune, but only by doing Seva and Simran through GUru Jis instructions can one get full liberation. Bhagats from other religions who are residing in temporary heavens are waiting to take birth in the House of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji so they can get eternal heaven. SO the future of SIkhi is very promising because many holy Bhagats will take birth into Guru Jis house and contribute to the panth.

historically ram chander could also have been a tyrant who overcame dark inhabitants of south india. perspectivly ram chander could be a demon compared to banda bahadur and the promicious ways of krishan are a legend. compared to them banda bahadur in terms of deed, is a penny.

btw does panth parkash talk about these demi gods?

I guess what we can say is to the extent that someone did good, he was a Sikh. To the extent that someone did bad, he was un-Sikh.

So, Lachman not looking with lust at his sister-in-law was a Sikh act.

Raam cutting off some Shudras ears because he was reading Vedas was un-Sikh.

Fighting for your wife could be called Sikh.

Cutting off some fellow's sister's nose could be called un-Sikh.

We could extend this to other figures of history, like Abraham.

Sitting in the city of Ur and remembering God could be called Sikh. Marrying your sister could be called un-Sikh.
