I was wondering why is it said that Chandi ki vaar has to be completed before sunrise, and if thats not done then one has to do it till sunset ? ? ?

Chandi di war is preparing for battle, and you cannot do chandi di war and prepare for battle at night and go to sleep, that's an insult.

when u talk to some people bout it they start, u shudnt read it cause u will become angery, etc and not be able to control krodh.

now peple go they do it all the time any time, etc.

i dont have much knowledge, so not much to say , sorry. ill sit back and learn

pyario i dont know much but as much as i herd dat da CHANDI KE VAAR has its conditions for carry it out, if not don porperly it is like an insult. I herd a account abt baba harnam singh ji( not sure par jay galth hoeaa maaf kario- abt da name), dey used to do lots of chandi de vaar day paats, but not da way it was too be don, not applying all da conditions. then one day a great worrior singh appeareed to dem said sed dat dashmesh pitha had send him with a message sayin to baba ji to either do the chandi ke vaar as it is to be carried out, meeting all condtions r not to do it. then da singh disappeared.

Chandi Di vaar is not to be done in the night or during dark hours. one should do it in daylight or all sorts of things can happen. Shaheed singhs came to protect baba harnam singh just in time and tell him to do it during the day and not at night (from that akj.org link):

I have read Sant Baba Harnam Singh Ji's autobiography called, "Se Kanehia" In this book Baba Ji talks about how he used to do Chandi Di // Paat everyday before sunset. One day he decided to break his normal routine and did this Paat before going to sleep. He says, as he was about to fall asleep, 2 Singhs began to approach him from a distance. They came up grabbed the Baba Ji and lifted him up from his bed by his head and feet. Baba Ji began to do Mool Mantar and they put him down, and they said they were Shaheed Singhs who came to tell him how to do Chandi Di //, since he decided to "test the Paat" by doing it after sunset. They told him if you do the Paat in the daytime, no problem......but....if you begin the Paat after sunset, you must keep reciting the Paat all night till the sun rises. It can be done by more than one Sikh, in turns, but cannot stop. This was how it was doing before a battle during the Guru's time. This is written in this book, its a really good book, i recommend it.
