Satigur naanak pragattia mittee dhhundhh jag chanan hoa||

With the emergence of the true Guru Nanak, the mist cleared and the light scattered all around.

Jioun kar sooraj nikalia tarae chhapae andhhaer paloa||

As if at the sun rise the stars disappeared and the darkness dispelled.

Singh bukae miragavalee bhannee jaeae na dhheer dhharoa||

With the roar of the lion in the forest the flocks of escaping deer now cannot have endurance.

Jithhai baba pair dhharai pooja asan thhapan soa||

Wherever Baba put his feet, a religious place was erected and established.

Sidhh asan sabh jagat dae naanak aad matae jae koa ||

All the siddh-places now have been renamed on the name of Nanak.

Ghar ghar andar dhharamasal hovai keeratan sadha visoa||

Everyhome has become a place of dharma where singing of keertan is done.

Babae tarae char chak nau khandd prithhamee sacha dhoa||

Baba liberated all four directions and nine divisions of earth.

Guramukh kal vich paragatt hoa ||a||

Gurmukh (Guru Nanak) has emerged in this kaliyug, the dark age.

Vaar Bhai Gurdaas Bhai Gurdas ji

i may add that Guru Nanak Dev Ji had the courage to challenge the bigotry, ritualism , unequality , and the practitioners to these ghastardly

acys right at their doorsteps, not fearing the concequences, thus setting before us example to practice what he called in his 9th incarnation

, Sri Guru Tegbahadur Sahib ji - bhai kahu ko det nahi, nah bhai manat aan kaho Nanak sun rei mana giani tahe bakhaan ( that person, who

does not terrorise others, nor can he be terrorised by any one , O Nanak he (such man )only is to be described as Gyani(the learned One)

he neither feared the political class nor the religious one, and pointed out in fearless manner their shortcomings and mistakes

May god lead us to follow example set before us by such great GURUs
