The Khalsa Action Committee (KAC) and its constituent members today gave a call for A Punjab bandh on November 3 to protest against 1984 riots on their 26th anniversary.

Addressing the media here, KAC convener Mohkam Singh said they would appeal to all business establishments and educational institutions to remain shut on November 3 as a mark of tribute to the innocent people killed 26 years back. “The bandh will be complete and we will seek the cooperation of the SGPC, DSGMC, Damdami Taksal and the Sant Samaj in making it successful,” he added.

KAC has become a stunt organization since Mohkam singh is in league with Dal khalsa who are in turn in league

with kala afghana and Darshan Ragi elements. They have become a political force.

I doubt if Mohkam singh is anymore with Damdami taksal.

AMRITSAR: To express solidarity with thousands of innocent Sikhs who were brutally killed in the capital of the country in Nov 1984, the Khalsa Action Committee (KAC) has asked the people of Punjab to observe a complete bandh on November 3 to mark the 26th anniversary of 1984 massacre of Sikhs.

The groups that came together to give a call for Punjab Bandh includes the SAD (Panch Pardani), Dal Khalsa, All India Sikh Students Federation and Sikh Youth of Punjab.

Notably, Dal Khalsa and other Sikh organizations successfully organized a Punjab bandh last year to mark the 25th year of anti-Sikh killings.

Addressing media persons at Dal Khalsa office, KAC chairman Mohkam Singh and Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwarpal Singh said Punjab would remain closed on the day when 26 years ago, nearly 5,000 innocent Sikh men and women were killed in the capital. We must register our protest against the genocide and government's failure to nail the perpetrators.

Bhai Mohkam Singh, who presided over the meeting of various Sikh groups— said that only essential and emergency services including medical services would be allowed on the day. The rail and road traffic would be blocked, however, the rail traffic will be allowed to run after 11 A.M., he said. He appealed to the people not to travel on that day and make alternative arrangements to avoid inconvenience..

Kanwar Pal Singh made a fervent appeal to Hindus, Muslims and Christians to observe complete shutdown on the day to show solidarity with aggrieved Sikhs. He said to deliver stern warning to all those political forces that have been pursuing the politics of genocide, “we all must unite and keep Punjab shut”.

AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohamad assured that the shutdown would be peaceful. He rued that 26 years have passed and justice has not been delivered. He urged the SGPC and other Sikh institutions to

support the call in memory of those who were butchered by frenzied mobs sponsored by the Congressmen.

There was a news in a Kala afghna mouthpiece yesterday stating that chelasof kala afghna/ Darshan Ragi and spokesman newspaper

Those who participated are given below

1 Gurtej Singh ex IAS a hard core kala afghana supporter and anti Dasam Granth person

2 Atindrpal singh from patiala

3 Jaswinder singh Baliewal of Sarna akali Dal

4 Daljit singh of eks ke bark

5 Satnam singh Paonta sahib , Dal Khalsa

7 Some active members of Eks ke bark organization that represents spokesman.

This is an open and panthic forum. It is my duty to expose anti panthic elements masquerading as panthic leaders.

Every sikh who has interests of sikhi at heart will expose these thugs who shed crocodile tears for sikhi but are acting

as enemies of sikhi.

It is a good thing that a Bandh is taking place to highlight the failure of justice for Sikhs. All organisations should take part instead getting involved in personality clashes

Bandh is not the issue here. It is double standard of some organizations and their credentials.

GPS: Why dont you call Manmohan Singh directly?

If you mean manmohan singh of Dal khalsa UK, i had called him when he had invited

Ragi darshan to London before his excommunication and requested him not

to do that . He indirectly refused to entertain my request.
