Sarbat - The Group For Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual And Transgendered Sikhs.

Recommended Posts

Basically there's nothing to argue about, its lust, and everyone knows a Khalsa should be able to control their lust. And yes there is an actual rehitnama somewhere that says you cant do that stuff with the same gender, look it up.

Could you please tell the name of that Rehatnama or post stuff from that?

Not that I have read the website in-depth! But why are people presuming they are engaged in a lustful life?

It could just be a support group to help Sikhs deal with any homosexual feelings they have and to raise awareness about their existence for Sikhs who are struggling with their sexuality.

Just because someone is gay does not mean they are automatically engaged in any lustful activities!!!!

Exactly my point ! What normal heterosexual people conveniently forget is that gays / lesbians are the one who suffer the most from their unnatural inclinations !

Society almost forces gays and lesbians into believing that they are an abomination ! Can you imagine the trauma gays or lesbians have to undergo through !

Sometimes , we should also see things from the sufferers POV

The problem is how we are going to differentiate between Natural gays and social gays.It is now a very common news to hear someone who is homo just find a hetro partner and leave his her homo partner. The case of 2 girls of Punjab who rebelled and openly told on TV that they will commit suicide if anybody tries to separate them and what happened next the Girl who was playing role of feminine partner just dumped her partner for a man when they moved together in just 2 years .

This raises the question whether the girl was lesbian or she was just attracted to the girl because of social conditions she faced

I think Homosexuality is a phenomenon which should be researched into ... Its not about sikh gays or non-sikh gays . Sikhs are also human beings . So , obviously , sikhs will also have their share of gays / lesbians / good people / bad people and so on ...

Did you knew that homosexuality has been observed in almost 4000 species which includes mammals , insects , birds , etc ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexual_behavior_in_animals

It maybe linked to evolution and maybe one way of evolution to control population ... Its very easy to ridicule someone by calling him a faggot but it takes courage to research the whole thing !

Ok, You lot are all saying it's okay. But think of it like this. It isn't wrote in the Sri Adi Guru Granth Sahib Ji, but isn't it obvious? We should be in love with the one lord creator, not with a man. Also, other religious granths such as the Bible condemn going to bed with another man. It's like saying we should cut our hair because it doesn't say that in the Guru Granth Sahib! Why did all of the Singhs marry women? Why did Guru Gobind Singh Ji have a wife? Singhs need to expand the Khalsa Panth. If you want to be gay, be gay, but don't spread it on to others.

1) Bible also says long man is a disgrace on man . Should we cut our hair as well ? Bible also says circumcision is covenant between man and god ? Should we get ourselves circumcised also ?

Bible speaks about a hell lot of things like stoning your kids to death if they are arrogant , doubting your wife's faithfulness and so on..

1 Corinthians 11:14

King James Version (KJV)

14Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

2) A gay person cannot spread gayness around as much as a person with blue eyes cannot spread the "blue eyeness" around !

The website has a blatant section where Gays, Lesbians and Bis*xuals can pick each other up. Also promotes the idea of MOC (Marriage of Conveniences) for Gays and Lesbians so that they please their Sikh families and carry on their lifestyles behind closed doors. The website talks about fetish's and promotes ideas of promiscuous relationships.

I have no issue with someones s*xual orientation as it's their personal conditioned choice, but don't justify it by bringing your own self manufactured "Sikh" angle.

We are told to recognise the whole human race as one, yet you're starting a thread asking how to go about stopping this group? And to say it's a "choice" is stupid, you cannot choose your sexuality any more than you can choose your skin colour. If any of you had children who grew up to be Homosexual/Transgender, how would you honestly treat them? Love them as your own flesh & blood (which they are) or shun/disown them?
