Are there any Gurdwaras in Egypt? I am thinking of moving there.

I want to move for the weather. I also met an Egyptian guy who is from there but has been living in the UK for around 11 years. He was telling me why he wants to move back to Egypt. What he said was convincing. The old regime is under reform with the recent riots and all. Once it is reformed and there is a new and legit government, Egypt's wealth will become more visible. Apparently, it is a very rich country but the money was being kept by Mubarak and not being used properly.

I'm considering a few other places too. But to be honest, this country (UK) is going downhill. I think it has had it. So many people are saying this now. Even white English people are moving away.

LOL bro you must be joking right??..what is the benefit of a sikh moveing back to india?..all the sikhs in india want to get the hell out ...lol....me personally will never even consider moving back to punjab till the sikhs get their own indpendance..i think most sikhs feel that way...please correct me if you disagree...

Yeah, my dad says the same. I suggested we move to india just as a thought and my dad told me I must be joking too. Now that I think about it, yeah, I don't want to move there either. Its too corrupt. My dad says they'll eat us alive. He says we won't survive. We don't really know anyone there either, most of my family are from Kenya. India is probably the last place I'd consider. The only good thing about it is the Gurdwaras.

The Al Masreyeen Al Ahrar (Free Egyptians) party, founded after President Hosni Mubarak was toppled in a popular uprising in February, said it had reached a milestone figure of 100,000 members, making it the largest party after the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's best organised political force.

The Muslim Brotherhood has an estimated membership of between 500,000-700,000. Most other liberal parties are estimated to have a few thousand members each.

You're probably right. I feared that too. Guess its best to stay away from muslim countries then. Mind you, certain parts of Turkey are not that religious at all. In fact, alot of Turks pride themselves in being modern and more westernised than other muslims. Problem is, they have not heard of Sikhs and the majority of them think we are muslims, lol. I just came back from holiday there.
