forgive my ignorance but when you tie a kamarkasa, isnt it no longer a keski. its a keski when theres a kapra on your head. kamarkasa when its tied around your waist. hazooria when its around your neck.....

kesh is kesh whether its on your head or your feet. kirpan is a kirpan whether it be on your head or your waist. a kangha will always be a kangha...used for the same purpose. a kashera will always be a kashera....used for the same purpose. and same with a kara. a kara will be a kara whether it be on your wrist or used as a shastar. but a keski on your head is a dastar. 'keski' on your waist becomes a kamarkasa (no longer a keski). 'keski' around your neck becomes a hazooria (no longer a keski).

maaalton Singh/Kaur, your question has been answered on this forum already. When you tie your keski on your karam, it acts as a Kamarkassa so you can hold your Sri Sahib and Kangha. So it is still a keski which is tied as kamarkaasa while bathing. You may call it a kamarkaasa but it actually remains a keski because it's going back on your head once you are done taking a shower.

also, kirpan is not always the same form, sometimes it a shastar for fighting, other times it is a symbol used to do bhog. sometimes kashera symbolizes chastity, other times it can symbolize cleanliness or sharam.

somtimes kanga is used to comb hair, other times it just sits there on your head. sometimes kaRa, when held in the right position, can be a shastar, other times its a bracelet that reminds you not to do bad things

so sometimes keski is on your head, sometimes its on your waist, who cares its the same thing
