No not really. Rich arent interested in sikhi in Punjab nor sgpc pracharaks are capable of convincing anyone to keep Sikh rehit. They may allot 50crore to prachar committee but very less spent in actual field pracharaks. those few pracharuks stay home and collect paycheck.

There is a dire need of an independent prachar body in Punjab to fill the needs of Sikh community.

maybe singhs and kaurs in the west should take it upon themselves to go village to village...preaching to the massess...much like what the enemy (christian evangelicals) do...

look at these bimbos....the second one yasmin has the audacisty to say sikhi is satan influenced!!

this is a good rebuttal to the christian faith...being nothing more than a roman created cult...sponsored and promoted in order to destroy the jewish people and the religion they practised..its nothing more than roman war propaganda to pacify the messianic believing jews!!....

We shouldn't worry, come on, how many Singhs were there in Guru Ji's time? Numbers dhouldn't matter to us. These converts wereb't real Sikhs to begin with. Also, it was too many fake 'Singhs' infiltrating the Kharkouo movement and doing bad things that killed it. We only need a few pure ones. We should worry more about making ourselves pure rather than keeping 'fakes' witrhin the community.

do you believe democracy?...do you live under democracy?...democracy is based on demographics...basically how many numbers you have...the less numbers you have..the less voting influence you have...which means the more likely you are to be marginalised by the state or even discriminated and opressed...in the period of the guru sahibs..a few ruled over many...like the fraction of muslims who ruled over hindus...but in todays world that just isnt possible...the majority rule now...and if you are not the majority...then you are a slave to the majority....its all about QUALITY and QUANTITY!...WE WANT BOTH!!...

These issues need to be discussed openly and frankly.

Yes there is a huge problem with conversions in panjabi community.

I have been looking into christian conversions in panjab. Missionary heavily target the dalit communities.

This is because of our own rifts, historic and present differences and discrimination's between us. Christians have only taken advantage of the situation.

Although I am very against the overall stance taken by sangat Tv,(they went cuckoo after the riots) they did well in including the baalmikhi community recently. We need to show solidarity with Ravidasia and Baalmikhi communities. They make up the largest majority of Panjabs indigenous people.

We need them to feel comfortable in the Panth, part of the Panth- because tomorrow they will be our brothers in Khalistan too.

Wasn’t Sheed Bhai Beant Singh of one the Dalit castes ? His castes are perceived low but have broken from the shackles of lowerty, they call themselves Mazbhis.

Ive scene a few people of the baalmikhi community who are Singhs too,

Many Great Gursikh's were previously of these communities before becoming Khalsa.

I think it's true of Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh ji .

The issue really is about the non-amritdhari people from these communities that we need to attract. Why? because they have strong historic and ancestral links to the Khalsa, and they make up a large proportion of Panjab's demographics.

We need them to once again come under the Nishan Sahib and feel like they are part of the Panth.

Panjabs demographics have changed so much, in some areas Sikhs are minorities.

We need the pro-Khalsa, pro-Khalastan vote bank increased as much as possible

There is no dispute that as a community we have discriminated against them, and the Christians, shiv sena etc have taken full advantage of that.
