BADAL'S REVENGE: Death Penalty for Rajoanna and promotion of Saini DGP

CHANDIGARH, PUNJAB (KP) - During the first days of inauguration, the newly formed purported 'Panthic' government of Parkash Badal 'gifted' the Sikh community with the announcement of installing a human-rights violator to the top police post in Punjab, and the setting of the execution date for political prisoner, Balwant Singh Rajoanna.

Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoanna's execution by hanging has been set for March 31st, 2012 for his alleged association with Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh Babbar and Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara who were responsible for bringing the ex-Punjab Chief Minister Beant Sinh to justice, on August 31st, 1995.

While it is highly unlikely that Bhai Rajoanna will be executed in the Patiala Prison on March 31st, due to various legal complications of another case that is currently in process -it is possible that both the Akali Dal and the dubious Sant-Samaj will try to take political mileage from this whole ordeal for self-benefit.

New DGP Announcement

During the swearing in ceremony, Parkash Badal also announced that human rights violator Sumedh Saini was chosen to be the next Director General (DGP) of the Punjab Police.

Sumedh Saini, a ruthless human right violator, who kidnapped, tortured and murdered many family members of known Sikh freedom fighters during the 1980s and 90s. He was indicted in an FIR by Punjab and Haryana Courts and the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) in 2008.

Mass Murderer Modi, Sant-Samaj and Nihang Jathedars Attend Swearing-in Ceremony

The ceremony was also attended by the notorious Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister of Gujrat, who is accused of orchestrating the February 2002 pogroms in which thousands of Muslim men and women and children were killed by rampaging Hindus across Gujrat.

Ironically, along with Modi, representatives from various Sant-Samaj Deras, and Nihang Dals came in full-force to congratulate the newly formed Government. The representatives stayed largely silent on the issue of Sumedh Saini and the anticipated execution of Bhai Rajoanna. The ceremonies were largely ignored and boycotted by Panthic minded activists and organizations who berated the Badal government for their role in promoting Saini and ignoring the possible fate of Rajoanna.

Along with Modi and Dhumma, scores of pro-Badal Babas and Jathedars also came to congratulate the new Badal Government

DGP Saini’s Background

Despite the official accusations, Saini continued to be promoted in from SP to SSP, and Director of Vigilance and now DGP. Despite an outcry from Panthic and human-rights organizations, the Akali-Dal continues to patronize this human right violator whose hands are stained with the blood of the innocent.

Jatana, Bhullar Family Members Murdered

In August 30th, 1991, the 95 year old grandmother of Balwinder Singh Jatana, a Babbar Khalsa activist, along with his maternal aunt, her teenage daughter and his polio ridden cousin were murdered and set on fire by Saini’s henchmen and Ajit Poohla. (MORE)

The Damdami Taksal must come out against this. We all know they have been hijacked by Badal , but killers of Sikhs are being promoted by this 'Sikh' government. Some of their members must be able to make a stand and breakaway from Badal. A few press statements are not enough.

Some say that we require "evidence" that Badal is anti-panthic.

Promoting a police officer who has killed Sikhs is not anti-panthic?

Are the Sikh Panth blind? Sikhs should be outraged that a murderer of innocent Sikhs is being promoted to Director General of Punjab Police. There should be mass protests against Badal for making this decision.

Instead you have Akal Takht Jathedar saying he was right in honouring Badal with 'Panth Rattan Fakhr-e-Quam' (Pride-Of-The-Panth) award:

Badal\'s victory as vindicated Akal Takht: Gyani Gurbachan

PTI | 10:03 PM,Mar 07,2012

Amritsar, Mar 7 (PTI) Hailing Shiromani Akali Dal's victory, the chief of the Akal Takht, Gyani Gurbachan Singh, today said it had vindicated the decision of the Sikh temporal body to bestow the title of 'Panth Rattan Fakhr-e-Quam' on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who has scripted history. The title, which stands for 'jewel of the community, pride of the nation', was conferred on Badal in December last year by the Akal Takht and had led to criticism from several Sikh organisations. "To confer the honour on Badal was a right decision at the right time by the Akal Takht and now Sikh community and masses of Punjab have expressed full faith in Badal who was been voted to power for a second consecutive term," Singh told reporters here. Lauding the "services rendered by Badal for the preservation of Sikh heritage", the Jathedar (head prist) underlined that the responsibilities of any person, who has been honoured by Akal Takhat Sahib, are added manifold. The Akal Takht Jathedar should summon Badal to Akal Takht immediately to explain the promotion of Saini. However this is very unlikely to happen.

Maybe other Jathedars of Taksal should come to the forefront such as Baba Mohan Singh ji or bhai Ram Singh ji. As leaders of Taksal they should get involved in panthic affairs.

Satguru Mehar Karan! May the the Sikh Panth open their eyes to reality.

Baba Mohan Singh of Bhinderkalan is a great role model of a true Gursikh sant.

Several years ago, Badal came to Bhinderkalan to meet with Baba Ji, Baba Ji refused to meet Badal, and instructed the Singhs to feed the "guests" langar - and stated there is no reason to meeting these superficial leaders.

He has NEVER attended any political programs by Badal or any other politicans - he is the true example of a Gurmukh.

Whether you like it or not, punjab janta has picked up this corrupt gov't through democratic voting system. If people of punjab don't give a damn about future of punjab or they are just plain spineless then why should i care?

Time to concentrate on individual jeevan and bhagti, according to hakum everything happens. When its right time, Vahiguroo ji will send an karak bhramgyani soorma;s like- maharaj singh nurangabad, baba bir singh ji nuragabad, sant jarnail singh bhindranwale to start another revolution in punjab and root out all the malech.

While day to day activism is good but stressing over it and overly concentrating on it to point where its affecting individual bhagti should be avoided at all cost. Sometimes, its good to let things go and flow as everything is part of maharaj's leela and hakum.

Well there are many divanaie mahapursh like that for eg to name few of many- sant teja singh ji rara sahib waley, baba jagjit singh harkhowale, sant bhramgyani ajit singh hansali wale, mahapursh from nirmal mandli .

Actually its not that clear cut , this is rajiniti, we shouldn't be having doubts if mahapursh- specially danaie mahapursh attends to badal program, that sant or baba its automatically fake or pakhandi, as said this is rajiniti, at times mahapursh look at the bigger political picture and adjust according to the current environment and climate (as i said everything is according to the hakum).

Sorry bro but that is the worst cop-out i've ever heard. Yup, lets all wait for a Messiah to come, where would the panth have been if we went with that mentality...no where! I personally don't know the solution to our problems but yours is not a solution but the cowards way out...this is no different to the Sidhs going into the mountains when Babur invaded or the Brahmins started their chalisae when Aurangzed was hell bent on his Jihad through force!

    • Umm, that's totally irrational, bro. There are plenty of prakash-dara Singhs in Punjab (less than we'd like, but still plenty). No one cares that you are sabat soorat. It isn't 1986. You can walk around in chola, kurta-pajama, or jeans. Whatever. If you want the look @dallysingh101 is referring to, just go into a cheap clothing shop (not a Western-style mall) and buy some shirts for 250 rupees or a track suit for 2000 rupees. You'll get the cheap stuff made in some sweatshop in Bombay.
    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
