A New Article On 1985 Air India Bomb Blast

I am just saying we should not promote parmar as hero when book shows he is not but shows an potential GOI agent. Actual verdict that you are quoting which shows bagri and malik not guility also claims in same breath that parmar was a terrorist responsible for air india disaster but failed to mention GOI was actual culprit these guys were just pawns. We cannot pick and choose whenever it fits us..i m willing to drop malik from my future references post as he is found non guilty. But parmar and reyat are different story all together.

Air India disaster was huge dent on sikh image here in Canada. At least Sri Akaal takth sahib could have done is make a statement in a media -condemn this act with strongest means possible that would have helped with damage control besides it would be right thing to do and they also should have held prayer for the victims....victims have suffered most out of this disaster.

N30 Singh Jee, by pointing the blame at the Singhs from a different angle does not make your point anymore credible. Do you know that proof they have proving these Singhs did the bombing??? absolutely

I dont agree veerji. As i've mentioned, the court does not solidly say Parmar is guilty. It just says he has a good reason for carrying out the act but falls short of saying he is guilty. The Indian authorities were smart. They knew if he is kept alive he will be proven innocent of the crime much like Malik and Bagri. But since he is not alive he cannot come back to prove himself innocent as Malik and Bagri did. As a result this "question mark" will hang over him. And this question does not automatically mean guilty. I'm no fan of Parmar either and I have my own reasons but I'm not going to gain anything by saying he is guilty of a crime and that too without any evidence. Parmar may have had his flaws but blowing up of the plane is not one of them at least as far as the available evidence is concearned.

Singh ji, i totally understand where you coming from, i love to reverse my thoughts on parmar but after reading book analysis on parmar with examples.. It's hard not to imagine him as double agent..i think you and i can somewhat agree there shouldn't be picture of talvinder singh parmar being glorified in nagar kirtan floats..some people are best not to be glorified in the panth if not sake for victims atleast we need to think image of sikhs abroad. Actually on good note, for past two years committe decided against putting his picture on nagar kirtan floats here.

The evidence that might have shown who might have done it, or which persons were actually involved has all been destroyed. And persons who did this are either dead, or are not traceable, or they may even be living in safe havens under new identities. So perhaps, we shall never know who actually placed the bomb. So perhaps, we are not likely to know now who the front men were. However, this article points to that the Canadian Intelligence analysts had enough evidence of involvement of Indian Government Officials in Kanishka Bombing kand. And they also observed the Major Commission was prohibited from investigating possible Indian involvement”.

This was the plan: a simultaneous explosion of two Air India planes on opposite sides of the globe — and we should have seen it coming. Parmar told his followers in 1984 that "Indian planes will fall from the sky." That same year, his number 2, Ajaib Singh Bagri of Kamloops, B.C., cut the air with his hand as he made this pledge to the founding convention of the World Sikh Organization: "Until we kill 50,000 Hindus, we will not rest!"

A packed crowd took up the chant: "Hindu dogs! Death to them!"

A mass murderer glorified as a martyr? Yes. His friends in Toronto and Vancouver have his picture on their walls. We've even seen those pictures, garlanded with tinsel, carried through the streets of Surrey, B.C., in the annual Vaisakhi parade while politicians from all parties smiled and waved.

This "martyr" neither knew nor cared who his victims were.

In practice, though, Parmar didn't discriminate among his victims. Anyone on the two Air India planes would do. He continued to plot his attack even as CSIS watched his house, photographed his visitors and wiretapped his phone.

In the end, only one of his homemade bombs went off on time. Two Japanese baggage handlers died at Narita Airport in Tokyo as they transferred bags arriving from Toronto to a waiting Air India flight bound for Bangkok. Perhaps they handled the bag with the bomb too roughly; we'll never know.

who on earth do you think you are being so brash and bold and saying "im going to give you a history lesson". Subjects like Air India require a balanced argument, Sikhs have canadian-government based sources that tell us what whatever happened wasn't as black or white as people may think, and that video Ujjal Dosanjh "the temple was interfered with?" IT WAS A LOT MORE THAN THAT MATE.

However we can name an airport after the biggest killer of all time. Yes, I am talking about indira. I guess Hindus can never be a terrorist in some people's eyes

Thats what the oaf wants u to say. Now we will probably get the "Sikhs are becoming extremists and terrorists" rant.

ahh this is a reply to mehtab singh and another thread not regarding air india

but ye agree its not black and white what happened before and after operation bluestar

some people try making it a black and white issue like sikhs vs hindus when they have no idea how complex the subject is and that it was never a black and white issue

you had corrupt beyond corrupt selfish politicans in congress party who came from hindu and sikh family's but most politicans in india don't believe in religion or fear a god or they wouldn't be corrupt as they are

you had sikh human rights activist with guns who delivered justice cause the corrupt system wouldn't

you had divide and conquere politics continued to be played in punjab by akalis and congress both parties which are just full of

selfish corrupt as*holes

you had sikhs who sold out sikhi and became terrorists and puppets of pakistan isi and targeted inocent people

you had fake sikhs who were just criminals and petty thugs pretend to be for khalistan and join khalistan organisations and go extort sikh family's and say they are doing the extortion and crimes for khalistan when in reality they were just doing it for themselves and

never cared about sikhs

and the list goes on but sadly thousands upon thousands of inocent sikhs were murdered

wueeee, no brob-lame, wuee amm tumara lassan ka wait karegi biraader...wuee tum school ka baashaa hoti? wallah amm ko sharam aati amm khoobsoorat baashaa se jang karti...wueeeee

man your just dumb and fit the definition of a blind sheep

i gave a reply on the thread which shows how dumb you are so don't try to throw insults and stick to the topic on this thread

that kind of weak mindset is what some of the people had which allowed isi and pakistan to turn them into their puppets aka their bitc**s

when someone on purpose targets inocent people and kills them its terrorism and a sikhs job is to deliver justice to the terrorists

the guys who did air india bombing gave sikhs a black eye and made some dumb people who know nothing about sikhism think that sikhs are barbaric terrorists who kill inocent people and are to scared to fight soldiers and governments

Thats what the oaf wants u to say. Now we will probably get the "Sikhs are becoming extremists and terrorists" rant.

no thats not what i want people to say instead i want people to call out the dogs who claim to be sikhs and do anti sikh activity's like bomb air india airplanes cause a sikhs duty is to fight for justice and fight for the inocent but you exposed how stupid you are

as well takl about corruption in gurdwaras and how some gurdwara are being run by guys who claim to be sikhs but participate in activity's that go against sikhism

    • Even then, quite a few older whites who've been going Spain every years for God knows how long, want to retire there. Cheaper living, the sun, less foreigners (they have their own enclaves) etc.  Whereas a working class english here will tell a spaniard to 'f**k off back your country bozo' the spanish are economically dependent on these lot, and don't tell them the same over there.

Billy Hood from Notting Hill, west London, was arrested on 31 January, shortly after moving to the country. The 24-year-old claims he was forced to sign a confession written in Arabic despite not speaking the language. The Foreign Office said it was "giving consular support to a British man who has been imprisoned" in Dubai. Mr Hood, who played semi-professional football for Kensington and Ealing Borough FC, told campaign group Detained in Dubai police had unexpectedly turned up and demanded to search his home and car. He told the group he was taken to a "police station and kept in an isolation cell for 14 days without any hygiene products". Mr Hood claimed the oil was left by a friend who had been visiting from England two weeks earlier. But he claimed he was forced to sign a confession after being pressured by local law enforcement. This month he was convicted by a court of drug trafficking with intent to supply. Vaping cannabidiol (CBD) oil is legal in the UK and has become extremely popular - typically used to relieve pain, anxiety or stress. The Foreign Office advise there is a "zero-tolerance for drugs-related offences" in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). "Forced and coerced confessions are commonplace in Dubai," said Radha Stirling, chief executive of Detained in Dubai, who are representing the family. Sentences for drug trafficking can include the death penalty and possession of even the smallest amount of illegal drugs can lead to a minimum four-year jail sentence. IMAGE SOURCE,DETAINED IN DUBAI Image caption,Billy Hood's family are appealing to the UK and UAE government to intervene In a statement to his lawyers Mr Hood said: "I have always had a zero-tolerance on any drugs or illegal substances. "For me to be accused of promoting and selling drugs in a country that has the same beliefs and values as me is very upsetting as it affects my future." Mr Hood's family are appealing to the UK and UAE government to intervene in the case. Mr Hood's mother Breda said: "I have hidden myself away, crying and crying when I imagine what our sweet boy is going through. "It is the worst stress I've ever been through and I feel helpless." The UAE embassy has been approached for comment.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-58930593 Conservative MP Sir David Amess has died after being stabbed multiple times at his constituency surgery in Essex. Police said a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after the attack at a church in Leigh-on-Sea. They recovered a knife and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. A counter terrorism team will lead the investigation. Boris Johnson has spoken of his shock and sadness at the loss of "one of the kindest" people in politics. Home Secretary Priti Patel has asked all police forces to review security arrangements for MPs "with immediate effect", a Home Office spokesman said. Sir David, 69, had been an MP since 1983 and was married with five children. He is the second serving MP to be killed in the past five years, following the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox in 2016. She was killed outside a library in Birstall, West Yorkshire, where she was due to hold a constituency surgery.   The investigation into the attack will be led by the Metropolitan Police's specialist Counter Terrorism Command, who will determine whether it was a terrorist incident. The prime minister said Sir David had an "outstanding record of passing laws to help the most vulnerable". "David was a man who believed passionately in this country and in its future. We've lost today a fine public servant and a much-loved friend and colleague," said Mr Johnson. Ms Patel said the killing "represents a senseless attack on democracy itself", adding that "questions are rightly being asked about the safety of our country's elected representatives". Sir David, who represented Southend West, was holding a constituency surgery - where voters can meet their MP and discuss concerns - at Belfairs Methodist Church in Eastwood Road North. Essex Police Chief Constable Ben-Julian Harrington said they received reports of a stabbing shortly after 12:05 BST and within minutes, officers found Sir David with multiple injuries. Police and paramedics "worked extremely hard" to save him but he died at the scene, Mr Harrington said. IMAGE SOURCE,ANTHONY FITCH Image caption,Armed police were seen outside the church where Sir David met consituents Police have appealed for anyone who saw the attack, or who has footage from CCTV, dash cams or video doorbell to contact them. Southend councillor John Lamb told the BBC that Sir David moved his surgeries to different locations around the constituency "to meet the people" and said the attack was "absolutely dreadful". "We've lost a very good, hard working constituency MP who worked for everyone," he said. Who was Sir David Amess? A Conservative backbencher for nearly forty years, Sir David entered Parliament in 1983 as the MP for Basildon. He held the seat in 1992, but switched to nearby Southend West at the 1997 election. Raised as a Roman Catholic, he was known politically as a social conservative and as a prominent campaigner against abortion and on animal welfare issues. He was also known for his championing of Southend, including a long-running campaign to win city status for the town.
