Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ke Fateh.

I know on this forum a while back there was a debate on a weddsing happennig at a hall instead of Gurdwara in Milton Keynes. I know Veer Harpartap Ji was involved big time but I don't remeber if there is a body or organisation of Singhs that go around stopping this kind of thing from happenning. The reason I post this question is that a friend of mine has advised of a wedding he has been invitied too which is happenning on the 3/10/04, it's at Menzies Prince Regent Hotel soemhwere in Chigwell essex UK. My friend advised the family it was wrong and so forth and from which Gurdwara is the baba Ji saroop being taken, they didn't say much. However he has found out recenlty that saroop is being taken from someone's house and not from a Gurdwara to the hotel for the wedding to take place. This has enraged me even more, I don't know what I can do to help and need to know is there any way this can be stopped as it's driving me mad. Is there an organisation which can help in this matter?

Wow !! I remember this issue being raised a while ago... also a huge thread on this. A representative even came on sikhsangat to talk to all of us, and said the issue was resolved. And it was .. but how low a family can go by arranging to get guru ji from someone elses home no.gif There are prob billions of more households, who do this. Only way we can stop is that if we know of any weddings happening in this way, we should contact the right people. I had my first cousin sister, married in a party hall with guru ji there about 10 years ago.. at that time i was not into sikhi ! We have to stop these beadbis ... :lol:

So what's the family's reply??

If they are still willing to go ahead with the beadbi then we GurSikhs are in every right to prevent this from happening.

We must turn up on 3rd October at the Hotel to stop this beadbi taking place just like we did at Northampton

'Respect for Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Campaign' please start co-ordinating the protest.
