SGPC attacks JK Rowling's new book. According to reports today, the SGPC in Amritsar demands that Rowling censor parts of her book in India because they depict bullying of a female Sikh student for her facial hair.

This is despite the fact that another story this week has proven that female Sikh students can easily look after themselves:

J.K. Rowling- thank you for introducing the audience to diversity and highlighting another form of bullying....you are making the world a better place

Balpreet Kaur- Thank you for living up to your name and show us the strength (bal) of your love (preet) and exemplifying how to deal with bullys...you are making the world a better place

SGPC (archaic clowns)- learn from the examples above and start making the world a better place! Get off your male privileged high horses and stop trying to protect those whom you can learn a lesson or two from..

sgpc has no credibility why attack this book when there are a million more problems that sikhs are facing that are much worse then this its becuse if they go after the corrupt politicians that own them it would be contraversial and there would be a reaction so instead they choose to go after one lone woman living thousands of miles away to make it look they they are not complety useless and that they are actually doing something while at the same time avoiding contraversary(atleast for them)

I've got to say, Sikhi's egalitarian nature appeals to many of us on a deep level - so it make sit an even bigger shame that when you do get up close to apnay - the last thing that would strike you about them would be that they were a particularly egalitarian lot. lol

We've got to get closer to the ideal - BIG TIME.
