It is both things that we need political and spiritual teachings of Sikhi. We have had to react to the attrocities that we have been subjected to in the past 30 years , but only a few Gurdwaras and people actually do anything on Sikh issues in reality. The main issue is that the Sikh religion and Sikh history is not shown importance by Sikhs in their households.Busy parents are more interested in making money and when they get back from work they put on one of the bollywood channels and have a few drinks. They say how great Dharminder or his sons are (clean shaven, smokers who run off with various women) or Amitabh or the Khans same with the females. Quite a lot of the Congress, Communist types actually hate Sikhs and this rubs off on their children.

The muslims spend all their time teaching their kids about Islam ( even though their parents may be hypocrites) , but it is their pride in themselves and their religion which is picked up by their children, which we lack.

On Gurdwaras we all know they need to change to get through to kids , the majority who do not know Punjabi and are techno types.

Its a challenge to uphold and maintain that pride when all around you have a society bent on throwing insults, which is why Sikhs need to arm themselves with the weapons of knowledge and live life in accordance with Gurbani.

Gora think we are muslims anyway and they treat us the same in terms of isolating us hence we are too chummy with muslims look back in India things like this don't happen because we don't get along. Now even though we are chummy they know what is what and they would never let a muslim girl marry a sikh, i've heard in canada some muslim girls do marry sikh guys, simply because they are more successful than the sikhs in uk, good money, good protector and they pretty much have a similar cultural belief plus radical islam hasn't spread as much in canada as it has in the uk, where mullahs are making muslim guys target girls for convert, they on paper convert the girls.

The british let's face it are confused about this whole integration thing on the whole. They want mixing but no one from the royal family would ever marry into sikhs. Relationships are formed from commonalities and similarities, right now singhs and kaurs don't get along, the guys are more religious than the girls were back in our grandparents generation it was the other way round.

As for muslims being our brothers you might think that's the case but islam in it's original form does make a very clear difference between a muslim and non muslim and by definition animals are muslims since allah has given them the faith in perfections you can see animals getting treated better then kaffirs, it's our own fault really for trying to pesuade muslims to dillute their views in this pseudo -hippy way which isn't working it's what baba nand singh tried, bulleh shah and all the sufis tried it, it didn't work instead was used as a mechanism for conversion.

If you want to asses why muslims treat us as inferiors and get away with it, it's to do with their attitude in understanding us and playing fool of us thinking we don't realise what intentions they have, the ultimate intention of islam is global domination by any means necessary it will retract and restategise attempts when one failed, the threat of aurangzeb and the mughals are far from over it's manifesting itself in newer chameleon like ways. Let's start by making sikh marriages work we have a 50% divorce rate, people with terrible relationships, kids who don't want to marry each other because they don't know how to talk sweetly to one another.

Many of the first generation of sikh probably didn't believe in sikh principles but they were init for the justice of it, people had been oppressed for generations by muslims sikhi gave a caste-free way of being able to stand and fight for freedom. Muslims will stand and fight for global domination because they want a utopic view of the world where nothing makes anyone different and everyone gets along. Islam is morally bankrupt yet is alive alot of muslims don't even believe in islam anyway but they go for it due to it's social mechanisms which are stronger then alot of other ideologies at this present moment.

Baba Nand Singh Maharaj came to this earth to spread awareness how to uphold/maintain respect of sargun saroop of dhan dhan dhan sri guru granth sahib ji as people around that time we were taking sri guru granth sahib ji on their bicycles/locking it in glass book shelf etc..!!
