The North Korean army said it has final approval to launch "merciless" military strikes against the United States, including the use of nuclear weapons.

In a statement published by the North's official KCNA news agency, the General Staff of the Korean People's Army said the United States was formally informed that its threats would be "smashed by ... cutting-edge smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear strike means," according to Agence France-Presse.

It remains unclear what threats the statement refers to.

"The merciless operation of [our] revolutionary armed forces in this regard has been finally examined and ratified," the statement reads.

According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, the statement also said the North would "take a series of strong, actual military countermeasures as the Supreme Command solemnly declared at home and abroad."

The Pentagon confirmed earlier on Wednesday that an advanced ballistic missile defense system was being sent to Guam to protect US interests as a precaution against North Korea's threats.

US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said on Wednesday that the hermit kingdom's threats presented a "real and clear danger" to the United States and its allies, South Korea and Japan.

"They have nuclear capacity now, they have missile delivery capacity now," said Hagel.

Also Wednesday, the North barred South Korean workers from the joint Kaesong industrial park. Earlier in the week, Pyongyang said it was restarting the Yongbyon nuclear reactor to step up production of nuclear weapons materials.

The North has condemned the US deployment of advanced weapons such as B-52 and B-2 bombers, F-22 fighters, and a nuclear-powered submarine and destroyer to the Korean Peninsula for annual joint military drills with the South, Yonhap noted.

Things could escalate very quickly. Especially with Russia and China warning USA to chill out. USA is setting up bases all over the world, and this is a threat to other countries. China was already upset that the USA set up a base in Australia, and is afraid that they are encircling them.

I think that a major world war could possibly begin if things are not cooled down. The USA seems to be setting up bases/invading everywhere, and other countries are not liking this. They see this as world domination, and will try to stop it before it gets out of hand.

here we go:

Thermonuclear war nearing: North Korea

North Korea has urged all foreign institutions, enterprises, and tourists in South Korea to leave the country, warning that the Korean Peninsula is nearing thermonuclear war.

In a Tuesday statement, North Korea's Asia-Pacific Peace Committee advised all foreigners in South Korea "to take measures for shelter and evacuation in advance for their safety" because in case of war "we don't want foreigners living in South Korea to get hurt."

"The situation on the Korean Peninsula is inching close to a thermonuclear war," the statement added.

In the latest move signaling the escalation of tensions on the Korean peninsula, thousands of North Korean workers failed on Tuesday to go to work at a joint industrial complex with the South, following earlier plans by Pyongyang to suspend operations at the facility.

On April 5, the North also urged foreign embassies, including that of Russia, to consider the possibility of evacuation from Pyongyang.

On March 30, North Korea declared that it is in a "state of war" with South Korea, warning that any provocation by Seoul and Washington will trigger an all-out nuclear war.

The prospects of an outbreak of war have sharply risen following the participation of the US' nuclear-capable B-52 and B-2 stealth bombers in joint military drills with South Korea.

Pyongyang also warned that if Washington and Seoul launched a preemptive attack, the conflict "will not be limited to a local war, but develop into an all-out war, a nuclear war."

North Korea on Friday moved a second medium-range missile to its eastern coast, one day after it deployed a Musudan to the same coast, with the missile reportedly facing Japan.

With an intended range of about 3,000 kilometers, the Musudan is believed to be theoretically capable of hitting any target in Japan and South Korea, and even reach US military bases on the Pacific island of Guam.

Washington has also deployed two guided-missile destroyers in the Pacific to waters off the Korean Peninsula.

On April 8, Japan also deployed Patriot missile launchers to 'defend against a potential attack by North Korea.'

An aerial footage by Japan's public broadcaster, NHK, showed launchers equipped with Patriot surface-to-air missiles being deployed at three bases of Japan's Air Self-Defense Force (ASDF).

The world has to sink a lot further before the end of Kaljug. Read Sri Dasam Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, Guru sahib has written about this extensively.

Many Mahapursh have said that there will come up a time when Singhs will have to carry a kirpan in one hand and a pothi sahib in the other.

Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji explains how all this will unfold with nagaras sounding from shaheed sarovar, the arrival of 96 crore and how at the very end Khalsa Raj will be made.
