The widow of a man found drowned with his girlfriend in a luxury hotel's swimming pool is "in bits" over his sudden death, it was reported.

Komba Kpakiwa, 31, and lover Josephine Foday, 22, were both found floating face down in the pool at Down Hall Country House Hotel, in Essex, on Saturday evening.

Student nurse Josephine had celebrated her birthday a day earlier and her married boyfriend had surprised her with a weekend away, her relatives said.

An inquest yesterday heard the pair were seen getting into the pool together and were spotted floating 15 minutes later by a hotel guest, who raised the alarm.

Police said a provisional postmortem found their deaths were consistent with drowning and are not being treated as suspicious.

Father-of-two Komba's wife, Gurpreet, is said to be in shock and unable to cope with his mysterious death.

Gurpreet Kpakiwa Shock: Wife Gurpreet is "in bits" over husband Komba's death

A family friend told the Evening Standard: "She is in bits and struggling to work out what happened to Komba on Saturday.

"Shes in a bad way and is hardly talking to anyone. Were all desperate for answers."

It is understood Josephine, from Plumstead in south east London, met Komba at her local Co-Op supermarket in Erith, Kent, where he was a manager.

He and wife Gurpreet are believed to have a seven-year-old son and four-year-old daughter.

Komba's brother Sahr claimed Josephine was a family friend and that his brother "looked after his family and supported them".

He told the Standard: "What I know about my brother is that he was a nice and loyal man and he was respectful of his family and always proud of them.

We have a close, but large, family. We are all distraught. We are there to support his wife."

He said his mother was flying over from her family home in Sierra Leone.

Josephine was also from Sierra Leone but was left orphaned by the civil war and fled with her grandmother in 2001.

Gran Theresa Farma, 61, said: "She told me that her boyfriend was going to take her to celebrate her birthday. She was excited to go.

"Everyone is upset, distraught. I cant believe she has gone."

basically.

1. Gurpreet marries Komba Kpakiwa

2. Then Komba Kpakiwa, 31, starts an affair with a younger lady, Josephine Foday, 22

3. Kombo and Josephine both go away on a secret rendezvous in a hotel.

4. They both drown at the Hotels Swimming pool (very strange how they would both jump in, not knowing how to swim?)

5. Gurpreet then had to learn two bits of info at the same time, 1. her husband is dead 2. he died whilst cheating with a younger girl.

That sums it up.

She could have married a Sikh lad, chosen a spiritual path, had 4 beautiful children, woke up amrit vela, sang praises to God together, lived a life of naam jap, kirat karna and vandh ke shakna..

But she didn't.. oh well..

Yeah most of these westernised cheap punjabans dont think twice before going bars pubs clubs and getting off with non-punjabis non-sikhs so they get used and abused and then no Sikh munda wants them for a wife and the ones who will wifey them are serial adulterers and cheaters and HIV/Aids/STD carriers so its a vicious circle these daft cows put themselves in and karma hits them for 6
