It doesn't matter, some guys use those full-body suits indoors when swimming (something about the chlorine in the water not being right for their skin, I'm not sure though(, so if guys can do that then I don't see why bibiya cannot.

It is Girl only event and I am sure these kaurs would not remove all their clothes or wear small swimsuits. They might just wear shirts and leggings.Let's not be judgmental.

If you people think it's ok for Sikh females to swim or bathe in public then why is it banned in Sarovars ?

Bathing is banned in sarover for bibis as you will have to remove clothes but in swimming you don't have to remove clothes...

If it is alright for men and women to swim together, then why did your Guru make separate locations at Sri Harmandir Sahib for men and women? Also go and YELL at the Punj Pyare that tell the men only to remove their bottoms and keep a kachera on while the women do not take off their bottoms. We are not Taliban and neither are we HIPPIES who see it perfectly okay for women to be swimming with the opposite sex. If you see it okay, then don't bring that garbage thinking to the Gurdwara.

The Punj Pyare are liberal and the Guru is liberal and the rest are just confused, lost, and backward people trying to pass off as the righteous. Look in the mirror and you will see a slave of the western world. The Sikhs need to smarten up here; understand what your izzat is for God's sake.

Nothing wrong with sikh women doing activities such as swimming besides it's woman only event. We are not Qazi mullahs from Afghanistan or Saudi who like to put veil on their woman restrict them to only home.

I don't know why some of you guys can't understand how singhs and singhnis can perfectly dress and manage swimming, sauna, steam rooms....etc.. in public without an inch of religious or cultural disturbance.

Women in the panth should be allowed to organise these kind of events, especially when they have taken respect and decency into consideration and made it an only ladies event. What they wear behind closed doors at a ladies only event is their business and as for the amritdhari bibiyan I am sure they know what they are doing when it comes to their kakkars.

Why don't sikh men be real yodeh and back up their women if they are ever in trouble or being troubled by men from different religions instead of trying to control every aspect of their life?

Events like this will hopefully lead to bibiyan doing more sangat with each other and becoming more confident and knowledgeable about their own community.
