its all gud, everoyone kool

akal purkh de fauj is a chardi kala singh and a valued memeber of the khalsa panth

and bhenji, if ure a sister, no, thas not the reason

the reason is meat is a very bad food for ure bhagti

its not good for u at all

try to do bhagti and eat mmeat

is almost impossible

1 out of a billion might be able to, might

so, eating meat is a huge gatway in ure bhagti, just avoid it as brahm gianis have taught us

guru jes clear

we shudnt eat meat

the onlytimes is if theres NO other food at AALL

and eve then, aas dasandas je says, if ure at that avastha, and wanna just survive off of only naam, then kool

dont eat meat

meat shud be avaoided, halal, is NVEER to be eaten at all

and jus tbecause animals cant understand religion, dont mean u can kill them

more than half of the people in the world, have NO idea of religion

their in pure mayas grips

only few break the powerful illusion

and even animals have their children etc.

bhagat fareed je was hunting

they kiled a deer

the kids come look for their mom

bhagat je gets so saad

and then goes in tapiyaasa

and comes out

a lady says the fruits ui eat, they got souls too

bhagat je like o, shes right

then he goes for like 30 years without food and water, only off of naam

peoplelike bhagat je, dont even need food

as dasan das ve

er je said before

anyways

when they come out they started eating roti, etc.

this is cause each life has a function to play

human is here to help the world, and do its bhagti

janvaars are just bodys for joons to be incarnated in, and janvaars make more janvaars, they do have familys, etc.

they are not to be eaten

however

plants just sit there

do nothing really

everyone need to eat to do bhagti, unless u at some mad levels of bhagti like baba harnaam singh je who went 40 days without water and food

so we eat plants in order to do tapisya

never eat halal, ever, its the bujjar krueight

btw, just cause something aitn a bujjar kurehgt,, dont mean u can do it

stuff like masturbation is forbidden, doesnt mean its in bujjar kureights

chatka only if u have to during dhram yudh, nothing round

basically, a sikh cannot eat meat

under any circumstantes can meat be served in langar

bhula chuka maf

Hi Khalistani,

I'm a Bro, thank you.

Anyways, what about Guru Gobind Singh ji and the idea of Jhuttka meat?

p.s. can an Amritdhari Sikh consume meat? I know of one, he does no intoxicants/lust and is a pure sevadar when hes at the Gurdwara, he does paath every morning and every evening and the whole 9 yards.

This guy is about 6'3, 220 lbs and is a pure TANK.

sorry my bad

this is the thing

there are 4 sins, which u CAN NEVER do

no matter wat, death, anything, never do them

cutting ure hair

taking any drugs

having sex outside of marrig,e or comminting adultery

and eating halalo, meat prepeares the way of muslim rights

they kill the animal slowly

that we can never do

but

those are the 4 major sins

there are other sins

just like masturbation

we cant dot hat either

but if u do it, u wont break ure amrit

ure just hurting ureself, and not enjoying true pleasures

just like eating meat

ure eating it, for taste, watever reasons, u shdunt

only one exception

if u are fighting a HOLY wat, dharm yudh, then u may, if u wish, kill the strongest animal around by doing ardaas, and then killing the animal in one swift hit

only then may it be done, and thas it u wish

if u want, u can also use naam to eat

this is possible

but u gotta be at realy high spritual level

but if u do it under these circumstances, guru je wont mind

but any other reasons, guru je is not happy

i can give gurbani thuks

ure freind is prob. a good guy

im sure hes an amazing singh

but eating meat unless ure in that event is wrong, ure just hurting ureself

and u dont need meat to be strong

u know enough vegies who can KILL anyone

like their beasts

>huge

but their veggies

so its all gud

but odnt eat meat

bhula chuka maf

Hi Khalistani,

He's an awsome guy, and his view is as long as its not halal its fine, he comes from a household that is completely all for meat etc. and his stance is that what did Sikhs eat in the jungles, there was no real agriculture and to maintain such physical strength while on the run, one had to consume things that would produce mass, and its true for the most part, atleast I think it is.

Fighting for so many hours a day etc. one has to eat, and eat well. Jungles, animals + hungry humans, one must conclude that there had to be a source of food that provided them with such mass/strength. Although your right that you dont have to consume meat to gain strength/size not all vegetarians are going to be big n strong are they?

The Sikhs were inside the Anandpur Sahib fort for days without food and water. The well fed Mughal army was waiting outside. Thanks to Aurangzeb's treachery, 40 Sikhs had to face a million (please correct me on the numbers). Yet they could kick their < yes you got it right >. Reason? The power of Naam and Bani.

I request veer Prabhdev Singh to please tell us the sakhi of Baba Harnam Singh Ji (I think) who stayed in a cave for many days without eating and drinking and doing only Naam Simran. His weight remained the same after 40 or so days. I am not very sure of the details of the story but

veer Prabhdev Singh can enlighten us I am sure.

singhs wud eat the leaves off of the trees, the fruits on the trees, anything when in jungles

and the thing about singhs back then was their main diet as daasn daas je said was naam

they cud literally eat poorly on and off for 6 monthis, then fight in wars

it was amazing

even int hese days, saints like sant baba harnaam singh je went without food and water for 40 days straight, only absorbed in meditation of almighty vaheguru je

vaheguru can give all powers, foods, anything

u just gotta belive

but even back in the days

like is said

if its a relgious war,t hen guru je wont mind, ure choice do it or dont

u can always try naam

but guru je wont mind

but thas if NO trees, NOTHING at all, only rock or something, then kill the strongest animal, etc.

sitting at home and eating meat is wrong, ure hurting ureself

first of all, were not int he poistion to do chatka

were sitting at home, were not even in a holy war right now, and even if we were, we got nough food

go to ure local longos

ther u go

other thing

the rules for chatka are u must find the strongest animal, and do ardaas, and ureself do the proper chatka method by leading the head away with ure hand, making it look at ure hand, so it doesnt know was coming

then while it ant looking, boom

kill in one hit

all this must be done ureself

that is real chatka

so first of all it aint a religios war, and we dont need chatka

second, meat from stores etc. is forbidden too

chatka is something done ureself

b

hula chuka maf

Khalistani veerji,

Very well said.

In my limited understanding, I think Guru ji has cautioned us about jumping on the high pedestal regarding meat or non-meat diets. One thing's clear, no one should fall into the trap of holier-than-thou in relation to their diet. Vegetarian ==>great! Meat ==> sure, if you can’t get a vegetarian diet!

The aim of a Sikhs life is Prabhu Bhagati. Bhagats tend to eat little, and most likely no meat.

But, in times of hardship, if life gives you a goat, make mahaprasad :TH:

    • Umm, that's totally irrational, bro. There are plenty of prakash-dara Singhs in Punjab (less than we'd like, but still plenty). No one cares that you are sabat soorat. It isn't 1986. You can walk around in chola, kurta-pajama, or jeans. Whatever. If you want the look @dallysingh101 is referring to, just go into a cheap clothing shop (not a Western-style mall) and buy some shirts for 250 rupees or a track suit for 2000 rupees. You'll get the cheap stuff made in some sweatshop in Bombay.
    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
