There are rats which usually come at right in my kitchen.

I got the RAT TRap from supermarket. There is a bait which then kills it.

I feel sad when RAT gets killed but i have no other option.

There are RATS which i am afraid can cause food contamination.

Is it right to kill them.

I had a rat come into our home, was terrible because we never had a rat before, it was massive and scared me <banned word filter activated> less. It was in our home for about a few weeks.

I bought a steel mouse trap, however it eat the bait and never got caught. Most probably as the mouse trap is a lot smaller than a rat trap. Before i went out to buy another trap. I decided to leave the slide door open at night for about 1/2 hour for about 3 consecutive days. Then i noticed the rat had gone :)

So best thing to do is make sure it cant get any food source. The one supply the rat got was from the cupboard there was a way in from the back as water pipes went up to the boiler above. So we got some wood and blocked the way in from inside the cupboard. This stopped it eating powdery indian packets.

So yes block all routes to food for rat then leave the door open, it will eventually leave.
