hey all

just wanted to ask a few questions

Is it obligatory as in guru granth sahib to hate muslims and always go against them?

Are sikhs to wear their turban and kerpal till the day all muslims dies??

Did Guru nanak devji prayed and paid a vist to the holy kabah in makkah?

Although their is counter attack between parties that Emperor Aurangzeb and Guru Gobind singh ji were either good or bad. Sikh community support that guru gobind singh and his people was a good man, but history shows that their were also some wrong doings from the sikh side that also angered muslims into a much fierce battle. So why is it when you ask a sikh, he always says muslims did wrong at that times, but were'nt both sides the equal and both sides committed the wrong doings

The only obligation is to love everyone. Guru Granth Sahib ji only promte respect and love for human kind. If you want to do some research on the message of Guru Granth Sahib ji, u can visit http://www.sikhitothemax.com

Where did you hear this from? The Kirpan* of Sikhs is for the betterment/protection of the humanity and this includes Muslims. We have nothing against any race and never in past did our ancestors fight any race. We have only been against evil and bad.

The only time a true Sikh will ever part his turban and his kirpan is after dying.

Did Guru nanak devji prayed and paid a vist to the holy kabah in makkah?

Yes, Guru Nanak Dev Ji did pay a vist to the Kabah and to see how he prayed there you can visit this link: http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=5572

but history shows that their were also some wrong doings from the sikh side that also angered muslims into a much fierce battle.

Can you please post why you think Guru Gobind Singh Ji was "wrong" at some point?

Hate itself is against the principles of sikhism, therefore you can use that to answer the above question.
Did Guru nanak devji  prayed and paid a vist to the holy kabah in makkah?

Yes, due to the fact which non muslims are discriminated against i.e. not allowed into meccah, guroo sahib disguised himself as a muslim to gain entry. He did not pray to the kabbah but to god. In fact he discouraged the pilgrimage made to mecca, a muslim named jivan kicked him for pointing his feet towards meccah. guroo sahib replied where shall i put my feet where god does not exist? furthermore when guroo sahibs feet were kicked and moved, the kabbahs position moved, spinned to be precise.

Although their is counter attack between parties that Emperor Aurangzeb and Guru Gobind singh ji were either good or bad. Sikh community support that guru gobind singh and his people was a good man, but history shows that their were also some wrong doings from the sikh side that also angered muslims into a much fierce battle.

really, can you give an example. Off the top of my head i can only think of a few things which would have made the muslims angry, such as guroo sahib propogating a non islamic faith, equal rights for all, equality for women. Given the crimes against humanity comited by the muslim regimes at the time, i can see how a force to counter their evil actions would anger them.

So why is it when you ask a sikh, he always says muslims did wrong at that times, but were'nt both sides the equal and both sides committed the wrong doings

no, they did not. sikhs did not kidnap women, force feed brahmins hallal meat, comit several countr

y wide hollocosts, chop heads off of children to be used as currency. however the muslims did

Daniel,

Not sure what you are reading or where your information is comeing from. The Guru Granth Sahib does not Preach any kind of violence or hatred against any living thing be it animal or human.

Many scollars have studied the Guru Granth Sahib and all come to one conclusion that there is nothing on this earth to match the poetry and the clear message it sends out.

Regarding your comments about Sri Guru NanakDev Ji at Mecca read the following:

GURU NANAK AT MECCA:

He disguised himself in the blue dress of a Mohammadan pilgrim, took a faqir's staff in his hand and a collection of his hymns called 'Pothi' under his arm. He also carried with him like a Muslim devotee, a cup for his ablutions and a rug whereon to pray. Like a pilgrim he went inside the great mosque where the pilgrims were engaged in their devotions. When he lay down to sleep at night, he turned his feet towards the Kaaba. A priest, Jiwan kicked him and said,"Who is this infidel sleeping with his feet towards the House of God?" The Guru replied,"Turn my feet in the direction in which God is not." Upon this Jiwan seized the Guru's feet and dragged them in the opposite direction. Whereupon, it is said, the Kaaba (temple) turned around, and followed the revolution of Guru's body. Some say that when the Guru asked the priest to turn his feet in the direction where God was not, the priest came to realization that God was everywhere. But those who witnessed this miracle were astonished and saluted the Guru as a supernatural being.

Then the Qazis and the Mullas crowded round the Guru and asked whether he was a Muslim or a Hindu? The Guru replied that he was neither of the two.

Then they asked,"Who is the superior of the two, the Hindu or the Muslim?" The Guru replied,"Without good deeds, both will repent. The superiority lies in deeds and not in mere creeds." The chief priest was a seeker of the Truth and he asked for Guru's blessings. The Guru preached the doctrine of Nam. He then gave instructions to the priest in the art of true living, to practice to live in His presence day and night and to glorify the Lord and thereby to rub out the dirt of sins from the tablet of the mind.

Finally Your comments about Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Please provide us some proof where the Muslims of the time were hard done. You have to remember that Guru Goibind singh was a Saint and a Soldier.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji stood for Injustice and demoracy for all people Men,women and the low caste.

I don't want to go into details of what the Muslim Maharajas did at the time but all I need to say is that If it was not for the constant battles against harsh, trynical Muslim leaders Likes Arunzib, and Akhber today India would have been ISLAM.If you want more information please let me know or check out some web sites.

Sikhs do not hate muslims. There might some couple of Ignorant sikhs who hate muslims but majority of mature sikh who follow full sikhi will not hate anyone just because they are from other religion.

In fact it's true that today we all have good relation with muslim govts in many countries like pakistan, Iraq, Iran and so on... Both side respect each other and live in harmony around the globe (except some problems in UK).. Hating other religious groups is against the basic fundamentals of Sikhism. Sikhi Preach NO hatred !! It's all about harmony and love.. But also keep in mind if in bad times sikhs will take every measure to defend the truth!!
