Another reason why Jugrag Singh is doing street prachar is to let people know who Sikhs are. There is also mistaken identity.

British Sikhs mistaken for Muslims, suffer from Islamophobia.

I'm more surprised that the Russian Times published this article, (in the same way the published the Sikh British protesters), what's wrong with the British media?

Regarding the debate itself, it could've been much better. Bhai Jagraj Singh did a fine job but he should study the tactics of Muslim Dawah men more in detail, they always use the same quotations from the Guru Granth Sahib which have false translations.

The Muslim preachers stop Bhai Jagraj Singh and question why he didn't pronounce 'disciple of the faith of Mohammed' in the following tuk:

ਹੋਇ ਮੁਸਲਿਮੁ ਦੀਨ ਮੁਹਾਣੈ ਮਰਣ ਜੀਵਣ ਕਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਵੈ ॥

Becoming a true Muslim, a disciple of the faith of Mohammed, let him put aside the delusion of death and life.

Bhai Jagraj gave in and he said those words instead of explaining them that nowhere in the original Gurmukhi those words are mentioned.

Secondly Bhai Jagraj Singh should've explained that the Gurus redefined the definition of the other religions, for the Guru the 'Good Islam' to follow didn't include Haj, Halal, Sunnat and so on and the supporting Tuks should've been given.

Islam essentially means subjecting to god's will. which is a core principle of sikhism. H could ave phrased it as labels don't really matter, actions, deeds and Naam is all that matters.

He did an amazing job, I don't think I could handle being in that position. So props to him.

*** FUTURE PARCHARAKS IN TRAINING ***

Sangat ji,

As some of you will know BOS launched the first ever European Vidiyala/Parcharak School in September this year.

It is an exciting time with the free school, tour and other projects. We are giving you a peak inside the vidiyala on the 7th week of training after a intensive week of presentations with Bhai Jagraj Singh and Bhai Baljit Singh.

Stay tuned as we'll be introducing our future parchariks in the coming weeks and you can learn how they are benefiting from this training.

Thank you to all the Sangat who have shown their support and we hope you continue to support the seva.

You have brought in an excellent point. About the Tukh you mention:

ਹੋਇ ਮੁਸਲਿਮੁ ਦੀਨ ਮੁਹਾਣੈ ਮਰਣ ਜੀਵਣ ਕਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਵੈ ॥

Becoming a true Muslim, a disciple of the faith of Mohammed, let him put aside the delusion of death and life.

In the original Gurmukhi there is no mention of "a desciple of the faith of Mohammad". The translator has done a blunder by writing Prophet Mohammad's name in this. One of the reasons why Sri Guru Arjun Dev Jee became Shaheed is because the Muslim rulers had demanded that he include some praise or mention the name of Prophet Mohammad in the Kartarpuri Aad Granth. But Guru Jee refused since Illahi Bani is only written down as it comes from Sachkhand, Gurbani cannot be changed in anyway. Yet still the English translator who I think is Sant Singh(3ho guy) has done a mistranslation by doing exactly what Guru Sahib refused to do. I hope Bhai Jagraj Singh Jee if he is reading this can make a video on all the Gurbani Tukhs that Muslim Dawah people like to misuse to push their conversion agenda.

The thing about Muslim Dawah tactics is that they use circular arguments. They will first ask you a question about your scripture like how they did with Bhai Jagraj Singh Jee . Then they say "see Guru Nanak is saying become a true Muslim, a disciple of the faith of Mohammad and as Sikhs you should obey what your Guru is telling to you follow."

These are all the same arguments created by Ahmadis a century ago to spread their cultish faith. Now these Salafists have adopted these same tactics.

Sangat ji,

We want to introduce you to our very own now full time teacher at the Vadiala: Amardeep Singh. He teaches: Gurbani Santhiya (correct pronunciation), Gurbani Arth (Meanings of Gurbani), Sikh Ithihaas (Sikh History) and Gurmat Research.

We asked him to write about his goals and background and these are his answers:

Main Goals

For students to be well equipped with the correct pronounciation, deeper understanding of sikh itihaas and provide skills to properly utilise historical resources in order to gain deeper understanding of gurbani.

Who and where did you learn from?

From Giani Bhagwan Singh Bhindranwale at Gurdwara Nirmal Bunga Gurmat Vidyala Bhindran Sangrur.

Giani Jee learnt from Sant Baba Karnail Singh Jee at Tallewal and Giani Harbhajan Singh Dhudike at Gurdwara Akhand Prakash Bhinder Kalan under the guidance of Sant Giani Mohan Singh Bhindranwale.

What was the method used?

Traditional taksal method of vidya which includes detailed katha (discourses) of Gurbani, Suraj Prakash ( six volume work detailing the lives of all the Sikh Gurus) and katha granths, in addition to one-to-one santhiya.

We feel very blessed to have him in our team!
