Race has never been an issue.  A person can be any race and be a Sikh. Rather I have noticed many kids born in Sikh families have outright rejected Sikhi and only do an Anand Karaj because their parents want it or what will the relatives say or because the Gurdwara looks fancy and getting dressed up will be fun.

Your stating the obvious mate. There is no issue about race if they are  Sikh. The issue is Sikh women marrying non Sikhs and then they just lose their faith altogether and take up their husbands faith. This is usually christianity. If they marry Sikhs of othet races that is not problem. Many Sikh women are marrying christian  whites and blacks at an alarming rate.

These type of Sikh women and men will be the downfall of the faith mark my words. theres no need to put your head in the sand and pretend this problem does not exist. You may see this rarely now but if action will not take place it will become the norm.

What does looking middle eastern have to do with anything?

How is this not issue if they are marrying non Sikhs. What religion will the kids be raised. I think one of the reasons for increased mix race marriage is due the dovorce rate in the Sikh community. Many women find they cant find a Sikh partner after divorce so then go for anyone they can find. This is exactly what happened with many of tye cases I have seen.

You started the issue titling it "Interracial marriages", not "Interfaith", and also since our religion is better; it's obvious that the Non-Sikh spouse would convert, even that Pakhandi Baba Jesus and Muhammad went to Harnaam Singh and asked for his blessings; not the other way around, that is just how much greater our Panth is that even these Pakhandi Babas have found out. (Harnaam Singh isn't even the light of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, just a disciple).

What lol? Jesus and Muhammad went to seek blessings from a Sikh when Sikhism wasnt even around? And don't throw insults around if you can't handle them thrown back at you.

LOL, just Googled it. Wow. Speechless ?

Daas wasn't trying to throw insults, but rather tell people about the greatness of the Sikhs, that they brought the most Egotistical Pakhandi Babas in human existence to acknowledge the greatness that is Sikhi. These are mentioned in Harnaam Singh's book, (which has more honesty than both the Quran and Bible), let's not forget that both of them are in the 8.4 million reincarnation cycle.

How is that not an insult? If someone said that about our Gurus you wouldn't consider it an insult?

@Sukhvirk76 has been making a mockery of our Gurus traditions this whole time, the fact of the matter is our Guru has been Shaheed saying, "Tera Kiya Meeta Laghai", while their guy said, "Why have you forsaken me?" Today we have Sikhs that believe all religions are equal which just isn't the case.

Most interracial marriages in the uk occur between Sikh and non Sikh.  Sikhs are not a really a group that cross different races like islam.

Bullsh!t.

Where exactly in the uk do u live? I bet u live in w.london, if so....well u live in a sikh majority area, hence thats all ur ever gona see, n jus to let u kno, it doesnt represent the rest of sikhs in uk.

Other communities r goin thru same fing as us, we just make more noise about it, coz we care. Just like the grooming fiasco! Hindu girls have been groomed since day1, but theyre a coward community who wont say anyfink, theyre pure coconuts! We make a fuss of the grooming coz we care about r dharam/kaum.

Hindus (gujaratis especially), BY FAR marry out of their community, if ur talkin bowt the asian communities, no question!

Also there r plenty of non-panjabi sikhs in uk. Ive seen plenty of goreh sikhs, ironically, in w.london areas.

I frankly cant wait for the sikh population to b majority non panjabi/asian (96crore khalsa).

The numbers against us are incredible. If 90% of Punjabis just happened to leave Sikhi hypothetically today, but only 1% of the entire Non-Sikh/Punjabi population decided to convert today we would be a larger community in the world by at least 3 times.

    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
    • Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi Kalan uses simple Punjabi.
    • Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it.
