QUESTION! Why is Margaret Thatcher mentioned in tag? Was there any evidence Torie's were involved after all? WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE!? Or did a labour MP randomly announce Tories were involved AND we sentimental Sikhs agreed, pretending there is hardcore evidence??

All this stuff about Thatcher being involved is political milage being used by the Labour party.

At that time (throughout the 80's), we had a Sikh labour candidate in Southall - a prominent Khalistani and member of Singh Sabha southall committee.

Nothing was ever mentioned or suggested then about Thatchers involvement.

This has all been bought up, because David Cameron was improving relations with the Sikhs above all other Asian communities.

The labour party have 13 Pakistani Mp's how many of them would speak up about Grooming ( of Sikh girls in particular).

Doesnt matter what part it is, what matters is who is pro-sikh and who has and had anti-sikh policies in place.

Be it labour party or conservative party that's irrelevant, Margaret thatcher definitely had blood of the Sikhs on her hands be it indirectly. She not only provided military support (weapons and Military intelligence) to indira's govt but also while innocent sikh civilians were being raped and butchered and burnt alive in the streets of new delhi she started to condemn British Sikhs back home for celebrating the death of indira hitler gandhi rather than condemn the genocide that was taking place in the same Indian city she was in against Sikhs. The heartless evil b1tch didnt say one word about the 5,000+ Sikhs murdered in 3 days not a single word about it.

Any Sikh with half a brain must hate her and her legacy for that and not defend her like some shameless beasts have tried to do.

You can be a tory or a labour party supporter makes no difference you do not defend the person who has contributed to the death and destruction at sri harmandir sahib in 1984. If any Sikh conservative is found to be proud of Margret thatcher then I would class him/her as a non-sikh thus should never speak or stand up on the behalf of Sikhs.

That m0ron fake Sikh paul uppal knew the strength of feelings Sikhs have about the genocide in 1984 yet he did not campaign to get all the files out the British establishment holds about its role in the genocide he went along with the narrative of david camerons govt that British had a very limited role yet hundreds of files were locked away or not looked at properly. And thus he was unelected in the last general election. If any so called Sikh's political party is more important than their Sikh religion then shame on them and the mother that gave birth to them simple as that.

At that time India was doing deals with this British government for Westland helicopters and Sea harrier fighter planes, therefore there was nothing that was going to sabotage the cooperation between 2 governments.

To be honest I admire Thatcher, Sikhs were given all the rights to live here peacefully without fear for losing the right to wear kakkars.

Yes Operation bluestar can never be forgiven, but may be we should look internally for those who let down Sant ji and continue to do so today.

The Akali party misled and betrayed Sant ji, yet Sikhs in Punjab continue to support Akalis.

While countless Sikhs were being martyred during the army action, badal, tohra, longowal and barnala were under police protection.

There were many grasses within gurudware in the UK that betrayed the Khalistan movement and Jathebandis

So if anyone has blood on their hands its our own leaders - we cant even elect a decent leader of our own, how can we point the finger at anyone else.

33 years later were unable to find out where the contents of the Sikh reference libraray are - and yet on the other hand were bringing up Thatcers involvement.

It was the KGB who were involved - are you suggesting we also bring them to book as well ?

You asked about Margret thatcher and I told you why specifically she stands out to be anti-sikh she also said some negavtive things about southall sikhs after the southall riots in 1981 against racist white skinhead attacks funded by the etablishment. I would place you in the category of a non-sikh if you think Margret thatcher is someone to be admired you might aswell admire hitler and indira gandhi and aurangzeb and abdali. Real Sikhs do not hold tyrants and evil heartless people as role models.

Both tories and labour have their faults and positives so thats why I didnt make it a political party issue though conservatives are more about making money for the ruling class "elites" wheres the labour party tends to share out the wealth more on Sikh principles.

Go read my past posts about my exposure about role of KGB in lead up to operation blue star you seem to be a newbie on here with no clue about recently discussed topics.

The 1976 and 79 riots were political where the National front came to southall, and they got a good seeing to.#

The 1981 riots were not racially motivated - this was a rock band that was mistaken for a facist rock band - and they got beaten up along with their skinhead fans ( not all skinheads were racists, these were the ska movement like mods).

'Funded by the establishment' - you need to get off your conspiracy theories - were you actually around at that time ?

The asian business man was developed under thatcher in the 80's - she wasnt racist - she actually knocked out the NF  - with her controlled immigration policies and many sikhs prospered at that time.

With your view on socialist  secular parties like Labour - let them come to power and then you will see their stance on Sikhs - they have the most number of pakistani muslim mps and actually favour them when they play the race card.

It is the secular governments across Europe that have banned sikh articles of faith.

Finally i would like to emphasise my point - the Thatcher may have been consulted on the planning of Opertaion bluestar - but she was not ultimatley responsible.

It was our own so called leaders who let us down - and have done untold damage to sikhi

anybody know of anywhere Sant ji's speeches are transcripted and translated into english ... preferably video with subtitles I would love for all of them to hear his voice and understand totally what he was and where he was coming from , because their indian cousins/aunts/uncles are brainwashed and have been spouting off in their ignorance

There is a book as well. 'Fighting for Truth and Justice.' You can find it on Punjab Digital Library and read it for free.

You can find Sant Jarnail Singh's speeches and Kathas on YouTube. If you were expecting Subcontinentals to listen to him, well many have already completely shut their ears to him, (even some Sikhs). Your best bet for inspiring them is to mention what he has done for everyone. If they already dislike him, they will just say India is right, if they are sensible, they'll at least listen. Indians have an unhealthy sense of extreme nationalism, (the difference between patriots and nationalist is one is for the people, while one sides with the establishment).

    • as long as no major panthic figure lays ungli on them lol  implausible at current state of affairs  we can have three sets shrimoni akali panth panj pyare of sikh sarbat khalsa along with 5 mukte and 25 mahakaali/giani singhs a mukhi of a really major dal (budha dal, taksal, akj, nkj, all the new ones lol) arent allowed to be in panj pyare or ppanj mukte  panj pyare can have more politically involved sikhs, meanwhile panj mukte be more panthic type folks like late bhai jugraj singh  one seat of panj mukte reconsidered every 2-4 years (some seats for 3, some for 4, one for 2) two of panj pyare for life till removed by 21 or more of mahakaal/giani (scholars, veterans, raagis, etc.) (i dont know how these are selected but perhaps a combination unanimously approved by 40 legislators mentioned below, they can be for life) other three chosen every 4-5 years by panj mukte  panj mukte advise panj pyare in joint session under a mukh diwan and meet diwan (chief minister of joint panj pyare/panj mukte session, secretariat minister of mahakaal assembly) who try to set up meetings and agenda and are chosen by small body of 40 legislators (need 37 or more to become) representing different parts of world and india and punjab and sampardiye that can be removed only if other 28 or more demand so  52 sewadars of sarbat khalsa enforce gurmattas under supervision of meet diwan third set of panch is akal thakt panj pyare (jathedari of akal thakt can be abolished) of which four must be most senior mahakaali singhs (the 25) and only one can be young if approved by same margin meet diwan is, this is like the jurisdiction that can remove a panj pyara anytime and de-ratify a gurmatta anytime  replaces sgpc gursikhs like baba nihal singh harianbela, giani pinderpal singh, that are admired or at least tolerated by most of panth are good candidates for panj mukte or panj pyara positions until we harvest a youth full of potential  a panj pyare can never be a panj mukta, a panj mukta can never be a panj pyare after retiring from former position mukh diwaan cannot be a former panj pyare akal thakt panj pyare cannot be former mukh diwan, and after retiring cannot serve panj pyara sarbat khalsa takes oath of restricting political activism to a certain region (perhaps pakistan punjab, punjab, haryana and maybe j&k, himachal, rajasthan) and beyond this region it confines itself to humanitarian relief, activism for sikh rights, gurudwara management, gurmatta/maryada enforcement) a politican isnt allowed from a another party to serve any position in this sarbat khalsa system but sarbat khalsa can recommend or back a panthic sikh up for a seat in the prescribed region  constitution (prescribing values of economic and relgiious freedoms, and promoting a federalist republican structure in india that candidates backed by sarbat khalsa must adhere to), code of honour (for scholars, intellectuals, officials), rehat maryada (mostly adopted from prior one) sikh intellectual council of free thought, free space for all sorts of intellectuals to discuss ideas, and a ultimate sikh reference library for all; presided by council of five elders (one chief elder) selected by mahakaali council that maintains order and intellectual integrity amongst this diaspora where intellectuals, scientists, theologicians, can freely correspond with each other and release findings (I wish bhai vir singh ji or professor puran singh ji were alive lol) sikh education front, trying to spread parchar in world, and impart worldy knowledge of stem onto youth in the north indian region described above (as our youth is behind rest of india)  revised anandpur da matta, reinforcing punjab's demand for autonomy, riparian rights, and additional territory (that we can get with help of our sikh education front working to spread sikhi in those areas and literate the poor with punjabi and other wordly stem sciences) we will harvest intellectuals, sikhs, and a stronger panth we would also need a team of lawyers to fight the cases in high court and supreme court for the matters discussed in above revision of anandpur matta, and maybe we can allign ourselves with whatever the punjab govt is at time in such legal battles against center for betterment of punjab i think i got carried away, maybe panj pyare system is better for individual gurudwaras lol although we can't have a autocracy with all the division in the panth either like we used to under diwan darbara singh ji, nawab kapur singh ji, sardar jassa singh ahluwalia
    • really nice thread 👍
    • idk if it is but if it is the r/sikh mod he is nice and not rude...
    • is it the same turbanator from youtube who comment on every basics of sikhi video
    • yes bibi rajni was married off to a leper by her father for her refusal to worship him instead of raam/gopal/akaal purakh she remained firm and took her husband village to village and was now thrown into a life of poverty she was married to a disabled man with leprosy and was told by her father to deal with the consequences of not worshipping him and told her to go find her waheguru/akaal purakh/raam now she carried her leper husband in a tokra basket on her head through villages and did work like a banjaras at different households until she reached amritsar sarovar she left (probably for work), while husband went for sarovar and when he came out he was cured (some versions say sikh villagers around told him to jap waheguru as he took the dip) he held onto a twig on a tree with his pinky so he wouldnt drown as he took ishnan he was cured but bibi rajni his wife did not recognize him so there was commotion to which villagers told them to go to dhan dhan sri guru raam das ji to whom bibi rajni begged for the man in front of her to be punished thinnking he killed her husband  but guru sahib told the (husband) to show his chichi (pinky finger) which wasn't dipped in the sarovar and thus remained with leper marks which proved that he was indeed the husband (he was told by guru sahib to dip the finger and his finger was cured as well to which bibi rajni believed him) duni chand the arrogant father of bibi rajni came and asked for forgiveness, and i think he had four daughters or so and no son and thus adopted the former lepor as his son  one of my favorite sakhis from childhood
