What's going on in the West Midlands?

I'm originally from London, but study in Birmingham for university, and since coming here i've noticed the singh's from here are way different. Apparently it's normal to see singh's with full beards and paghs going clubbing and drinking, someone was telling me how he saw a full nihang singh in Mooch bar drinking alcohol with full saroop. Stuff like this would never be allowed in the area i am from. The singh's seem way more feminine and look like they can't defend themselves. Apneh girls at university are different breeds, i've seen so many apneh girls with <banned word filter activated>, it's unbelievable, what are there brothers/parents doing? i've also recently read about that Samra girl case where her parents stopped her from going into Sikhi and she then ended up planning to go to syria to be a sex slave... if it continues like this then we're going to be in decline. Have any of you read "Forbidden Truth" by Killa from Sikh unit, it's an accurate representation of everything bad going on in our community and more specifically in the midlands. I have attached the book for you to read, it's an eye opener and a read that would get you thinking.

It's not just West Midlands.

Yes, you can say that it occurs a lot here and use whatever survey to prove it, but this type of stuff can happen anywhere in the world.

Honestly, since it's only happening here, it's probably the West Midlands specifically because of the type of other activities that go on regularly on the streets. Though as I said, it can happen absolutely anywhere in this world.

To stay away from this type of kalyug activities, it depends on the amount of effort you put in to actually stay away and focus on Sikhi. You put in 10% in Sikhi, you earn the 10% reward of Sikhi back.

And if you put in 100% in Sikhi? I don't even know what could happen.

    • This is where the vichola needs to get involved, and family!
    • Hi All, I havent been on this forum for a while but I thought id give it a try again as it helped me through some rough times earlier in my life. I wanted to seek for guidance on sikhi and marriage ... I noticed a post earlier on sanjog etc. and it got me thinking about my own life and marriage. For context, I have been married 3 years and things are not working out. When we met, I looked in to sanjog alot and it felt like it was written. However, as these years have gone by its become apparent that we no longer align with each other and our marriage is struggling. We dont seem to understand each other and things have fallen apart. We are at a stage now where separation/divorce is looking like the best option. Neither of us are happy and whilst we have tried to work things through in many different ways, after 3 years we have drifted away. What are the sikh views on this? is it written if we decide that we no longer serve each other? or is that a sin and should I continue to work at it? my issue at the moment is that it is draining me. I feel withdrawn from everything due to things going on between us including sikhi and going to the gurdwara.  Breaks my heart to even be writing this but I do think if we are both not happy and cant see a way of being happy then what is the point in continuing? Or should I be continuing and is it paap if we dont honour our laavan? if that is the case, what does sikhi say about marriage? how do I continue knowing everyday I feel the way I do?   Thanks

    • I'll use this place as my spiritual journal so if anyone wants to join then feel free to! I'm not sure if this could be classed as an experience but last week (or 2 weeks ago), I felt my saliva to be sweet however I lost it after a week. I don't really regret it though, if I lost it then it's Hukam Another point, I feel my concentration to be very good for a while, I can focus on the void for a longer period of time than I could before. I also feel a lot more Anand, it's all Guru di kirpa
