Do Sikhs believe in eternal life or that you are born again and again until the soul is truly enlightened?

When we die, if we were and an evil person and committed sins and followed the 5 evils of Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachement and Ego/Pride we get sent to hell to receive a punishment. There are levels of hell, so the murderers etc. Will have the worst punishment. Waheguru knows how long they will be punished. But God is very compassionate and even forgives the sinners, so he allows them to come back into the cycle of reincarnation. (Only humans can get liberations by the way)

If we were an okay person, we may have to come back, not through all of the life cycle, but come back as a human.

But if we were Dharmi (religious) and followed the path of our Gurus, staying true to your religion, fighting the battle against sin, doing good deeds serving others, serving God, experiencing God and repenting for our mistakes, we will get mukti (liberation). There are different levels of heaven and heavenly realms and the our soul will continue to live forever if we get to a certain state called Karam Khand or further into the ultimate heavenly realm called Sach Khand (the realm of truth). There's so much to talk about so I gave a very, very brief summary.

It’s all about what you believe in and what works for you. I can honestly tell you to Sikhs this all sounds a sales pitch to scare people in there is only one way to GOD. It’s to create fear and guilt in people rather than enshrine Unconditional Love which is the true nature of GOD. Sikh Guru we’re here to level out the plain not to show how special they were but how special we all are. And ways to empower all to experience the true nature of GOD in themselves, Since there is only one of us. Unfortunately history is the proof of evil acts done in the name of LORD. Crusaders , Holocost while pope sat quiet and be as silent witness Etc......The current president of USA in office with Christian vote is the biggest joke in present day history. His Christian values we are all aware of...

Is there not an equivalent in your religion to this? Will your Gurus come back? Do you accept that evil is ruling this world currently?

Our Guru Sahibs have told us that at this moment in time we are in Kaljug, the age of darkness/ignorance, where people will start to reject God in order to follow the taste of their tongue (slander, food) and lust. Kaljug is not only a period of time but also like a spirit being/essence as Kaljug met Guru Nanak Dev ji and was holding his tongue and his private parts in each hand and he claimed that these 2 will be predominant/rule in his kingdom/age. So the devil is not just a man (it could possibly be a lesser demon, as our Guru told us that these types of beings exist)

I remember reading a Bible quote : "There shall come in the last days scoffers, walking about their own lusts,"

Some people don't want to believe because they want to do whatever they want. How foolish.

However, don't fear. Guru Sahib has told us that the days will come where the Khalsa (the pure ones) will rule the world.

Right now I think we are in end times. The bible has a lot of prophecies concerning end times about the third temple and the end times and it looks like we're nearing, where religious people are going to be persecuted (as seen today). Guru Sahib has told us about end times and it will be dark but the world won't end. Peace will come afterwards. I'm not very educated on the subject but I can say even worse, darker times are coming.

There are a lot Sakhis (stories/prophecies) about what will happen, which you can research.

I agree we are living in the end times. Whwn men will do as they please in the name of freedom. Look at morality and the empty pursuit of fame at any cost. There is such disgraceful human behaviour and so many have lost their way. Ever watched the Jeremy Kyle Show? To me it illustrates how Godless people have sold out to do anything they wish and they do not realise all actions have consequences. Oh their suffering! Their children have no direction. A Christian or Sikh would never behave like that. If we know God is our judge we are accountable. It's a big subject. I've gone off the point so excuse me. But these are dark times we live in.

Jesus was circumcised (Abrahamic tradition).

That is perhaps irrelevant. Christ was born into the Jewish culture and obeyed those customs and laws. No dispute there. But he was fully man and fully God.

Genocide, Slavery, plundering and destroying humanity by millions was a trademark of European colonials throughout the world. They were all Christians accompanied with missionaries throughout the world. Sikh history is totally opposite of the above. So by putting them in the same category is highly offensive.

I know why you are barking so much nonsense.

I as many others,  have also seen how stupid you are apart from  madly barking.

So no matter how much you  keep on barking, the best thing is either to give  you  an injection for rabbies, or leave you  to keeping on barking ....

That is the best medicine  for a stupid and an arrogant dog like you.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣   😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Do not guess anything for you have no brains, even a donkey is better than you.

It is quite clear from the amount of nonsense you say, that you have not seen your face in the mirror or how stupidly you bark, so here you go, look at yourself in the following video.

Why didn't you let God show me you are wrong.  Wait Gurbani was quoted and you lost control.  Showing further how shameless you are.  You show every characteristic of a fake holy man.  You are the trashy trailer park baba.  Being shameless is your mission statement.

Once again your senseless barking is on again as usual.

😂😂😂😂

And in some way  I will never tell you to stop your mad barking, cause with it you are doing me a huge favour, which truly only best friends can do.

The moment  I tell you the favour you are doing me freely, you may stop doing so.

So I can only wish you to keep barking the inmense stupidty you have within, the more barking you do, the more your help.

So, please keep barking non stop.

😂😂😂😂😂

Lol! No need for nasty arguing. I have a good mind of my own.

He, @harsharan000 is a dishonest old man.  He tells you God says be silent but then goes on with his fake holy man preaching.   Sikhi tells us to be honest and when I pointed out his dishonesty,  he didn't like it one bit.  So much for being humble.  Most people do something healthy with their retirement.   This nasty old man pretends to be a holy man.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ

Look, we can't just dismiss a whole religion just because of people who were evil. In fact those evil people had no sense of religions in the first place. Evil people exist everywhere, people who want to destroy the core of the faith we follow. Of course we have differences in history, but did Jesus Christ ever keep slaves? He would never have done and would have condemned it. The people corrupted the original teachings.

true, no need for nasty arguing with this mad dog of Akali Fauj, he needs a good spanking  to shut his mouth with a kick.

his hatred for me, makes him blind, he looses his common sense, though frankly speaking he has none, and starts with his lies, trying to impress here as if he knows a lot of Gurmat, and then, he starts barking, and  perhaps unfortunately his parents did not teach him manners, or maybe, he is an arrogant  donkey  even with.

He is like a twisted tail of a dog, which if put in a tube to get him straghtened, then the tube can get curved, but he can never get straightened. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

He is so foolish that he can cheat others, thinking by changing his ID here, but his manners are the same which means his barking is the same as in his previous ID.

Such a fool, and he is going to  teach others how to be.....😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

A said, he is mad dog, let him keep barking his nonsense, the more he barks, the more the sangat will know about his stupidty and wickedness

Just do not mind his nonsense.

You never pointed my dishonesty, it is all your wickedness, your bakwaas, your lies, YOUR BULLYING....your wild mad imagination.

But nothing of your nonsense will ever affect me, for you speak, only the nonsense and lies you carry, so not me only, but anyone with common sense will ever fall at your dirty level.

You think the whole world turns around you, and will follow a mad dog like you, ha?

You are so wicked, that you think Gurbani can upset me. it is not Gurbani which is Amrit that can upset anybody, but your wickedness which blinds your common sense, thus you start barking only lies upon lies...

You may cheat the world or the inmature, but we all know how evil you are.

So before accusing or pointing others, please have a look at yourself as a mirror with the video I posted yestreday.

In case you have not seen it, have a look here below as per how you madly bark constantly with lies and nonsense.

Stupid mad dog. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well we all know that hurting or killing anyone ever is wrong. When done in the name of religion it becomes dreadfully wrong. Unfortunately in human history it has happened so much and Christianity is as guilty as perhaps many religions.

To me, Christ preached love towards your neighbour and your enemy alike - a very difficult command actually, I have no idea how the Bible teachings became the basis for so many wars and terrible events. That is human nature, the propensity for violence.

Personal faith is one thing, religion is another. I believe in love and peace. I have heard Sikh chanting of prayers and it sounds beautiful and good. Our psalms and hymns are peaceful and comforting too. God is love.

What does that have to do with anything? It's like saying

"Guru Arjan ji kept their hair (Sikh tradition)."

    • Yeah i feel to understand and practice Sikhi you need a understanding of basic traditional values and morals and live by them. I really feel if your outlook and and upbringing is western like many Punjabis these days then they really won't get Sikhi, without those traditional values they won't find Sikhi appealing. Things like lowering your gaze when walking past a female, how is someone with a westernized liberal upbringing supposed to understand things like that? Yeah thats what i mean, as apocalyptic as is may sound i really do think cultural Sikhs or mainstream as you described it really will assimilate into the local people, and the reason i believe that is because its happening! One of my many reasons of getting into Sikhi was i looked at the state of my cousins and their offspring and thought to myself that Sikhi really is over for them! i thought i need to get into it otherwise it really would be the end of Sikhi in my family lineage!  My cousins kids are even less interested and clueless than my cousins are. In my entire family from all my cousins and there is over 30 of us, i am the only one who keeps my kes and practices as much as i can!  their kids don't even know how to speak Punjabi let alone read bani. My cousin sister came over from Canada and her health is on and off and my mum said to her that she should read mool mantar and her response was "whats that" !!   this is the state of them. I worked with a Punjabi female in her early 20s, her family are from Singapore and she told me she drinks alcohol with her mum! how is someone who has been raised in a way where its normal to drink with your mum supposed to even remotely find Sikhi appealing?  Thats what i mean once your outlook is liberal and westernized like the vast majority of Punjabis today, Sikhi will not be appealing to them at all.
    • Why cant we have our own HOMELAND?!   Haven't we suffered enough?!
    • Somewhere along the way we've allowed a certain mentality to creep in which implies that "anything and everything is permissable" in Sikhi. At the same time, an opposing idea that a Sikh who rallies against this mentality; who wishes to adhere to a framework of belief and edicts is labelled as orthodox or extreme has also taken hold. Basically, following rules is intolerant, oppressive, and ungodly, whereas just "being" is godly. It's the same pattern that's beginning to tear at the fabric of humanity across the globe. So in that sense we aren't alone. But in our unique situation, it's our duty to provide solutions to these problems that originate outside of religious circles.
    • Sounds like she is bipolar.  She is using social media to ride the high wave out.  Soon it will flip and the dark and insecure person will come out.   Don't feed the troll and she will have nothing to go on.
