When two enemies vie for you , then its your talent and skills about how to leverage the situation for your benefit. There's a lot that sikhs can do , unfortunately our religious moral ethics bind our hands. We could and should have otherwise been 2 steps ahead of others in these games, much like the jews , and could have invaded ourselves discreetly in many places arousing minimal suspicion while doing so 

I never said it had to be all or nothing. Yes, it's allowed darshan for us, but the numerous benefits this act of "generosity" grants Pakistan in its "cold war" with India are obvious.  We just happened to be the convenient piece that was put forward in their game.

I think as the rivalry between india and china  and india and pak increase , sikhs will increasingly become pawns in this game. 

I am seeing this long drawn games, hopefully ending with sikhs getting their sovereignty back
