Well the focus then needs to be on changing our communities mind sets. This'll be easier in the diaspora than the 'motherland' where there is no other example to follow, the foolishness being so normalised.

The root problem is the doctrine of Materialism that's now worldwide. It's still in the diaspora, but manifests itself in different ways. In India it's completely unrestrained. There's no dialling that back unless there's a civilisational collapse. It's not even a recent thing. You could argue it started as far back as the times of ancient Egypt and subsequent Biblical times.

One thing that is potentially likely to work in our favour in this respect is a relative degree of financial freedom from intergenerational wealth (within diasporas), that will free minds and resources to develop in these other areas.

I think you over-estimate our ability to think so far forward and so intelligently. We don't have that "quality" in our character which will "free minds." We follow even when we think we're being radicals.

We'll fall into two categories: the "educated" and well-connected will seek to become part of the Anglo-Establishment (whether that's the Globo-homo Empire or whichever movement that will rise in opposition to it) OR we'll just retreat into our communities content with either the white-collar service sector office jobs or blue-collar small business enterprise.

It'll be pretty much the same as its always been except there'll be more of us relatively speaking. That inter-generational wealth won't be invested in amplifying Sikh causes and voices, but will be wasted on more holidays, lavish weddings, and spurious, decadent wastage.
