I recently went to a party and all I saw were Sikhs wearing tupac beanies with a shaved face. These people are an embarrassment. It would be better for these people to be mona then disrespect the the symbols of our faith

The Muslims and Hindus have largely abandoned wearing the turban in India. It has become a Sikh icon, so all Sikhs should proudly wear it.

I live in India where i happen to come across a lot of Anti-Sikh ridicule . I get into street fights very often .On two occasions my turban got pulled off unscrupulously by attackers when they couldnt do much at hand to hand .I am 5ft 9 inc. Its a different thing i wore a patka then . Can someone guide me as to what turban would be suitable for such stuff. The normal big turban o dont think is suitable enough. I doubt whether it will remain unbudged if jostled .

***Please like/share to create awareness *** In the November 1984 Sikh Genocide, Sikh males were targeted because of their Turbans. In this picture you can see a Sikh male who has been beaten with rods and is held down, his hair forcibly cut and beard shaved off..... he is then clubbed to death. They took his identity before they killed him. Waheguru. ... This was the same across India during the first few days of November 1984. In remembrance of ALL those Turban wearing Sikhs that were killed , we urge EVERYONE that has never wore a turban before, to wear one during this #RemembranceWeek 1st- 7th Nov, in solidarity with our brothers... I got the oppertunity to write on this subject - well I chose this from many others - since the subject affects my faith. The article is mainly about Burka ban in some schools European countries. I got to analyse it and give my opinion. I just wanted to ask fellow Sangat to give me few of their ideas which I could add in the text - without sounding like an extremist to my teacher ;D (Please keep in mind that the article says one can wear religious symbols anywhere but not in school.) Gurfateh! Could you please share your tips on turban/keski (washing) care? I hand-wash with detergent and disinfectant followed by fabric conditioner. I worry about a washing machine damaging the cloth and in the machine, inevitably black material gets covered in white strings and vice versa. Also my keski patka material gets damaged with regular/harsh washing- I sweat a lot and have to wash my material regularly. I swim wearing keski so need to disinfect and scrub vigerously to make sure it's clean (else I get scalp rash). How do you store your material after drying- do you do prepare it straight away or just bundle it up for future preparation? Does this affect the …

Hi, I have started wearing a round Turban, which I find is a lot better then the folded one. Only one problem I am using the same cloth that I was using as a folded turban, I find I am getting holes in the cloth and it starts tearing because I am wearing the round turban. So what cloth would be better for a round turban. Thanks
