American Sikhs: For those of you who have been watching the news recently, you will know of many of the 2016 Presidential candidates. I have a two questions: 1. Which political party do you feel is more according to Sikh belief and 2. Which candidates or candidates have you narrowed you choices to so far. I am interested to see who Sikhs seem to favor the most. My background is Republican, but I do not know who is a good candidate according to gurmat. Thanks!

Pyario, we all brothers and we all shud unite.... we have all made mistakes in the past and for sure we will make mistakes in the future... but a Sikh learns from his mistakes. I noe paapis like me never learn from mmistakes but we shud including myself try to learn from mistakes. Lets not pick on any people (eg. oohh ak47 are bad, (or) ohh that guy was with a girl, etc...) DO NOT PICK ON ANYONE! we shud explain to them nicely because they are our brothers. We shud use our energy to force away islamic extremists. BEcause when the muslims from all the arab countires and around the world see SIKHS UNITED, the muslims get scared.... the get very scared.... they know the KHAL…

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ke fateh Dear Guru Piyari, Guru roop, satsangat I know there have probably been alot of posts already to do with this issue. BUT....... its just something that has become more apparent to me lately and has really bee bugging me. I just want the sangats point of view. First of all im just gona as some thought provoking questions, well, not really thought provoking, but just to make a point. Who does Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj belong to? As in, Is maharaj only the guru of sikhs? Or Taksalis, or Akj's, Nihungs etc..... Does Maharaj discriminate with caste, creed, sex, jathay? I think we all know the answers to these questions, so t…

United We Stand! Sarabha Panjab News www.SarabhaPanjab.blogspot.com 03 July 2007 In a meeting between Panjabi-Sikh youth representatives from various Jathabandhis, Panjabi vigilantes and Religious respect movements, a message of solidarity was portrayed. Over the last few weeks the Midlands Panjabi-Sikh community have seen evidence of grooming & brainwashing, protests against extremism and the disrespect of the ‘Gurdwara code of conduct’. Youth groups recognised the need to unite against elements that affect the Chardikala of the Panjabi-Sikh community and the Khalsa Panth. Police and Media Ignorance Following the Anti-extremism rally on 9th June where 200…

I am starting a new topic as there a few threads which are along the same lines, refering to the Dudley incident. I have read a few posts where the issue of it's going to be turned into or is already an amritdhari vs monah OR 'militant' vs 'liberal' issue. WELL it is NOT. Many who have not took amrit yet, are fully supportive of the 2006 sandesh. An example is I think at Grays where an Amritdhari was in favour of the community centre parties whereas a monah was not. Of course all Sikhs should aim to be amritdhari but for some its easier i.e. upbringing etc. and others its alot harder as they have not been introduced and exposed to it that much, espeacilly those who have b…

I have been reading some the posts over the last week and all I have seen is the constant squabbling and negative judgemental attitude towards each other. Whether we like like it or not we are a community made up of people from all walks of lives. Our temperaments are different, some hot and some cold. Some of us want to do things for now and some for longer term goals. Some want to take a militant approach and some diplomatic. This is not unique to us this has been the case for all communities trying achieve goals in a struggle. Malcom X’s ideology was different from Martin Luther Kings but ultimately the goal was the same. Bhagat Singhs ideology was differe…
