Lessons learned from Saka Chamkaur Sahib These are just my own thoughts I am expressing. Please correct whatever you find incorrect and forgive me. Bhai Roop Chand submitted his garhi at the feet of Guru Sahib. Later on he was tortured till martyrdom. A true Sikh doesn't think before sacrificing all his/her material possessions along with his life when it comes to upholding the dignity of Guru Sahib and His Khalsa Panth. Historians say that Guru Sahib Himself looked after the Singhs as they were asleep the night before the final battle. He tied their kesh, tied their turbans, tended to their wounds, and according to some historians its said that He even kissed their wo…

In Both Saada Haq and Hawien they show or mention Singhs going round to Pind people's house for roti (on the run or on journey so they eat at villagers) However in both films it wernet the real karakoos. They were sent by the Police so, after the Police could harass the particular House so called Karakoos ate at, and say they are aiding showing hospitality for Militants. I have relatives in Punjab where in the 80s karakoos came to their house asking to be accommodated for roti. Police also came to their house after, in this house there were 3 sons who were hiding upstairs and the police didn't find them. The Police went and never came back. any takers ?

The original five beloved Panj Pyare played a vital role in the shaping Sikh history and defining Sikhism. Guru Gobind Singh asked for volunteers ready to give their heads. Five courageous men answered the call. The guru initiated them into the order of Khalsa, a sect of sant saphai, or saint soldiers. They performed the original Amrit Sanchar initiation ceremony, baptizing Guru Gobind Singh and then about 80,000 others on Vaisakhi of 1699. 1. Bhai Daya Singh (1661 - 1708) The first of the Pa…
