A summary of the maharajas of Patiala. They have been traitors from the beginning, the founder of the state ala singh and his family were excommunicated by dal khalsa in the 18th century so i dont know why these people are still considered Sikhs. The founder ala singh assisted abduli during his invasions and was given the title of maharaja by abduli. he later helped the mughals and then betrayed abduli by siding with the marthas. During anglo sikh war the patiala state sided with the british and then during the early 20th century they were part of the british raj. After the anglo sikh wars maharaja karam singh of patiala ordered his army to shoot nihung singhs on the spo…

If Sikhs cant have their own country. What is the next best option? Maybe we can get greater autonomy or power. If We had our own country what are the practices would we implement first in the laws and legislation.Maybe we can still do some of these things even without having our own country.

I have never really read these kind of books before. Ie such as the guide to happiness by the Dali lama. Or other similar type of books for gaining knowledge. Where authors write about how to succeed or live life to the fullest. Many of these books usually focus on the mind and psychology in some way or other. Anyone read something they can recommend?

Saka Nankana Sahib was one of the most powerful turning point in the history of Sikhs after the fall of the Sikh Empire. Despite the evil designs of the then British government the Sikhs never gave up and got control of Nanakana Sahib. We remember the supreme sacrifice of the matrys of Saka Nankana Sahib. https://www.allaboutsikhs.com/sikh-history/historical-events/historical-sikh-events-saka-nankana-sahib/

This is one of the sayings I hear and it can bug me. As a Sikh, I do believe in re-incarnation in whatever form it takes until the cycle is broken but I hear this "You only live once" from fellow Sikhs. Yes, I can understand that in this current life, you have to experience things and you try to live life to it's fullest and in the best way possible. However, I also understand you have to live in present but people who follow this thinking don't put any thought into the consequences of their actions. I think it is irresponsible.
