http://dailysikhupdates.com/historical-weapons-maharaja-ranjit-singh-stolen-video/ I'm lost for words. It's a bloody good job the british took his golden throne, the kohinoor diamond and whatever else. Our heritage is being lost, looted and destroyed in punjab. At least the british have preserved what they took and made it available to the public.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Maharaj...how/3460304.cms He was called the Lion of Punjab. And among the many precious treasures he owned was the priceless Kohinoor diamond. It comes as little surprise, then, that a 1 metre, 38 cm tall bust of Punjab's Maharaja Ranjit Singh is attracting worldwide interest before it goes under the hammer at an international auction. The milk white sculpture has been priced between £50,000 and £70,000 (Rs 45,00,000 and Rs 63,00,000 ) and will be be auctioned at the Bonhams Indian and Islamic sale on October 9 in London. This is not the first time items related to Indian royalty have gone under the hammer. "Last year we sold a bust o…

You don't hear much about this guy. Was quite different to other Punjabi/Indian Maharajas especially his cousins from Patiala. He refused to get a coronation ceremony from the British when his father died like the other Maharajas used to in India and instead chose to get anointed in a Sikh ceremony. He supported many Sikh causes and refused to provide the British with soldiers from his state like how the Patiala state did. During his rule he made sure Dalits had excess to education and jobs. He refused to cooperate with the British and they decided to dethrone him and sent him and his family packing out of Punjab. He became more closer to Sikhi during his exile. Not sayin…

A summary of the maharajas of Patiala. They have been traitors from the beginning, the founder of the state ala singh and his family were excommunicated by dal khalsa in the 18th century so i dont know why these people are still considered Sikhs. The founder ala singh assisted abduli during his invasions and was given the title of maharaja by abduli. he later helped the mughals and then betrayed abduli by siding with the marthas. During anglo sikh war the patiala state sided with the british and then during the early 20th century they were part of the british raj. After the anglo sikh wars maharaja karam singh of patiala ordered his army to shoot nihung singhs on the spo…

Maharani Jind Kaurs personal Gutka Sahib is in the British library, most likely stacked like any other book. Its beadbi disrespect. They shipped countless things from Punjab to London once they took over Punjab. Makes you wonder how many other Guru Granth sahibs, Gutkas sahibs, shastars they have stacked on selves gathering dust. its just wrong. Every now and then a object from the Sikh empire pops up out of the blue at British auctions and sells for £1000s they are still making money of these things decades after the empire left India. Imagine them flogging something like this at auction? if they have some decency then things of religious importance and value s…
