Waheguru ji ka Khalsa waheguru ji ki FATEH .. I want to ask .... Someone in my family i found out today that my cousin got married to a Christian guy in anand karaj have they done Beadbi if did what should we do about this. We looked up online and it also said No it is Beadbi. .. We know its not allowed but were just making sure before we act Me and my brothers are pissed... We are definilty going to confront them if they have done Beadbi because we had told the brother of the girl that if not sikh don't allow anand karaj to happen until we find out for sure. Is a Christian allowed to get anand karaj with a sikh ?? we think no but just makin sure and if so what do we do…

There is one Singhni in particular who I have to see very often, and who I will be living with next year (I'm close to her family). It is very hard to put up with her. Before this time i was doing simran, listening shabads n paat, like feeling wanting to get close with Sikhi and even thou i was not healthy got to a stage being able to cope with gods hukam. Now last two months had lost my faith, not matter how hard trying to console myself its not comin back. So i thought ok maybe depression, but i am very weak physically so put it down to that too not being able to do much. So not wanting to do paat, when put it on like can't stand it, like its too much pressure for me. And when am trying to do bits, my brain is not accepting it. Again i am thinkin its weakness. We are both amritdhari and he is cheating on me with an indian (hindu) colleague. I had this doubt and confronted him. He told me everything while crying. My whole world is shattered. What is the signifigance of the Nishan sahib, what does it symbolize? and why do sikhs matha tek to it and do parkarma around it? I have seen many people do this, and i even do it to especially when i go to india, but i have never understood why i am supposed to do it, i just usually follow my parents and what other gursikhs do. thats the only reason why i ever matha tekked to a nishan sahib. I would really appreciate it, if someone told me the history behind it and the signifigance of what it is, and why i should pay respect to the nishan sahib (ie matha tek etc) thanks

Gurfateh to all. I am sorry if this comes across as negative, but I would really like to know if there are others that feel the same. Firstly, I myself am a bana wearing, rehat following amritdhari so I don't have any negative intentions behind this topic. I just feel these days that gursikhs are extremely into showing off and using Sikhi as a way to feel better about themselves and show off. When I say using Sikhi I mean things like keertan, rehat, bana, seva etc. I come across individuals who on the surface are doing everything right yet when you speak to them you say very few gurmat values, such as true love and humility. Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -
