yeah so my bro jus put the channel on randomly after wed bin sittin there 4 10 hrs srt8 watchin tv. there wer loads of hindus n this main guy sittin on sum stage in the middle of nowhere. n basicly we saw them chanting the gurmantarrrrrrrrrr. Hi, I'm not amrit-dhari or anything, but wanted to know what the religious stance is on meat. My Dad is a proper Singh and he doesn't eat meat or eggs. I was a vegetarian for 12 years, but started eating meat again around 6 months ago. My dad actually says that although he doesn't eat meat himself, it's not against Sikhism to eat meat. Also, a friend of mine ate a big-mac and said it's not against sikhism to eat meat, and the no-beef thing is hindu religion, nothing to do with sikhs, so sikhs can eat beef too... Is this true?

OK. So it's come to the point where there will be the first meeting between my parents and her parents. Her and myself have know each other for a while and we are both keen on getting into SIkhi properly and both have the same views in life and espicially on Sikhi. SikhSangat, how far can a relationship go between a boy and a girl? My sister is not currently amritshak but i've suspected her of being relly close to an amrittari boy. I dont see anything wrong cos I know they not dodgy people and must be doing everything to the maryada. They make a nice couple in my head and I think its why my sister wants to become amrit shakked. I will not be surprised if a marriage proposal is made :| It would be cool to have an elder brother good in sikhi (and to play cricket wiv) but if this contacting is wrong then he must be dodgy. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
