What Is The Name Of This Music Piece And What Do I Call It

Greetings, I am not a Sikh, but I am of Punjabi origin and I have a lot of Sikh friends and great respect for the Sikh people. My question might seem strange, I was going through YouTube a few weeks ago and found a very interesting Punjabi language documentary on Sikh History, I really enjoy watching it and learning from it. I enjoy some of the devotional music as well, I am not sure what the proper term is though - I don't want to sound disrespectful as I realize that these could be considered holy. The video I am talking about is here: I am particularly interested to learn the name of the first song/hymn - it really expresses the spirit of the Sikhs to me. …

I was wondering what is the need of Khalistan? , Well I know the whole background about 1984 and aftermath , and debates about Sikhs being unequally treated at different places etc etc. But its all leading to a very protesting-wing of Sikhism , I see young people wearing Singh Shirts/Hoods , idolizing Bhindrawale , and acting as if they are the warriors . I almost agree everytime I see atrocities on Sikhs anywhere in the world. 'But begging for a land and not winning it' is not something Sikhism does. Now a days Sikhs are becoming very insecure about their own identities and demanding separate rights and land for themselves like we are some oppressed African refugees (#!…

I know this topic isn't 100% gurmat but what is the process of inviting a kirtani/raagi to perform kirtan at the functions you are taking seva in e.g langar seva, house program, akhand paath? Living in the UK, there are many experience and well known kirtanis in this country such as Bhai jasbir singh khalsa, bhai jatinder singh, bhai bahadur singh rocket, veer manpreet singh etc. What is the process of inviting them? how do you contact them? If not, do you have to contact them through your local gurdwara? And this is might be a controversial issue, but what is the costs? are they different types of costs? do you pay them before or after? how much do you have to pay? I…

Hi loves, As I get older, the thoughts of marriage can’t seem to stop going away. Unfortunately even though I’m Punjabi and a Sikh (still trying to become the best Sikh I could possibly be) I don’t come from a normal Sikh family. We don’t really have contact with our family and my mum is a single mother. My mum is also not religious and she doesn’t care who I marry. We’re also not in a good financial situation. I’m wondering how can I possibly find a Sikh man who can look past that? Because as we know family is quite important in Sikhi. I’ve talked to white men before and a lot of them have liked me and expressed interest in me but whenever I bring up Sikhi the…

I hear many references to the will of God when it comes to Sikhi and many Sikhs. How do we know what the will of God is? Sometimes we try so hard to make something happen but continually fail over and over again, is it the will of God for it not to happen or is it the will of God for me to keep trying until i get it? How is one supposed to know? Im very confused sangat ji, please help me. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

I just met one person today......he is amritdhari..... While having a word with him he asked me....in ur opinion who is Amritdhari..... I said whosoever follow Guruji is Amritdhari....then while discussing some issue related to sikhi he said I m 3ho sikh.....I dont understand y people classify themselves as 3HO, AKJ n other jathas....means its better to call urself a sikh rather then further classifying it......, Fer loki kende gussa kyo kardi e eh kudi...... Y these sikhs dont understand that jathebandi can never b part of Sikhism......
