How do u all deal with stress? I am in a situation where I've got family as well as work problems at the moment and as a result, I get headaches almost every day. This means I miss my amritvela coz i wake up every morning with a headache and then go back to sleep, hoping it will get better if i rest some more. But then I feel guilty all day about missing my amrit vela!! I try to do simran/bani while working during the day, but I've got so much stuff going round in my head that i really cant concentrate. So what's the best way of overcoming the stress (and the headaches)?

my mum and brother had a massive fight this morning. i had to come and break it up they were jus trying to beat the <mod edited> out of each other. then my bro hit my mum on the head and she started crying. mum sed shes not gna make my bros packed lunch for sch so i started making it instead. she started shouting at me n tryin to argue with me so i told her not to and she ok, as long as you dont make him (my bro) anything to eat. so i didnt and he went hungry for the whole day at school. this might not b a biggie 2 any1 here, i mean he only missed one meal, but i feel really guilty. my mum AND my bro were in the wrong. but did i also do wrong by listening…

I cant stop my tears right now... even after showing no signs of sadness at the airport or even after seeing my mom after 3 yrs, I just cant control my emotions right now.I ve managed to hold it and become strong but after sp ending time with mom, I cant even enter my room. I have exams coming up too. If i listen to keertan, i cant focus and all i remember is how we spent time together doing simran and keertan... i have two amritdhari friends who have got into a relationship and within a matter of days have kissed. they believe they are going to get married and feel this is ok, they said it just happened. sangat ji how do i tell them that this is wrong. fine if they believe they may get married but they should not have kissed. How do i tell them that this wrong? or is it to late to tell them. i have tryed to tell them that this is wrong but they believe its ok as they think they will marry.

WJKK WJKF i was wondering how one does Saas Giraas bhagti. I know of someone who told me that only Naam Bhagti can be done by Saas Giraas. How is it done, and is what they said true? Also, say we don't use our Rasna (tongue) to do naam Japna, but just do it in our minds, does that still "count" as Naam Japna? Thanks. wjkk wjkf

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
