  1. Forty-five days after a deadly shooting at Wisconsin Sikh temple, hundreds of Sikhs and their supporters lined the halls of Congress on Wednesday for a Capitol Hill Senate hearing on hate crimes and the growing threat of domestic terrorism. 18 year old, Harpreet Saini, son of one of the shooting victims, testified at the hearing and asked the Senators to help track hate crimes against the Sikhs. Below is an extract from his heartfelt and emotional appeal. “A little over a month ago, I never imagined I’d be here. I never imagined that anyone outside of Oak Creek would know my name. Or my mothe

Sikh mps, minister, army, police officers, paramedics, executives, ceo's, scholars, teachers, nurses, accountants, doctors working aboard with kirpan should respond to this twat and put him in his place. He obviously think wearing kirpan is medieval practice..its obviously isn't..who cares what this twat thinks? He already pay his allegiance to british umpire/comrades by changing his outlook to posh victorian ferengi and his letter speaks volumes....give him bible and show him the door. We don't need sell out tattus here in the panth who lacks juice in the balls to stand up for freedom of reli

  3. Spot on. Many, many so-called moderate (their definition of 'modern' being non-keshdhari, non-adherence to Gurmat, etc) Sikhs share these opinions. They are growing in number. EDIT: BTW I'm not knocking non-keshdharis who do respect and love Sikhi. But you guys know what I'm talking about; these sorts who find Sikhi to be an antiquaited, out-dated hindrance in their wonderfully modern lives, lol.

  4. Such 'sikhs' are ones who consider Sikhi as a ethnic group rather than a spiritual path. From the pictures it's obvious they are all a bunch of uncle toms. I bet half of their children have probably married non Sikhs. They have absolutely no Sikhi left left inside of them, yet have the audacity to think they represent the Sikhs. Members of this so called Sikh organization are a living contradiction.

  5. I remember hearing in katha that when Indira Gandhi came to the darbar most of the sangat stood up. Sant jee was doing katha at that time and said, (I'm paraphrasing) "Khalsa jee, you are sitting in presence of kings of kings and yet when this lady worth 2 pennies came in you stood up!" Now that's what called being nirhbau (fearless). Dhan guru payarey! I want to hear him say it as well, hopefully there is a recording out there.

  8. A man strapped explosives to his body and ended not only his own life but also the chief minister of Panjab, Beanta in 1995. This human bomb was called Dilavar Singh, at the time a serving officer in Panjab Police. Can we celebrate such an action? Is this not the type of terrorism that the western world is trying to exterminate? Or is there something much deeper and profound in what Dilavar Singh done? For the Sikh community, he has been honoured as the 'Pride of a Nation', for India he represents the complete opposite. Watch to make up your own mind... SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube channel CO

  9. Why is there a controversy in the Panth over eating meat? The Panthic Sikh Rehit Maryada (Sikh Code of Conduct) makes it clear that the four Bajjar Kurehits (cardinal prohibitions) for a Sikh, which result in apostasy from the Sikh faith: ੧) ਕੇਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇ-ਅਦਬੀ । ੨) ਕੁੱਠਾ ਖਾਣਾ । ੩) ਪਰ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਪਰ-ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਗਮਨ (ਭੋਗਣਾ) । ੪) ਤਮਾਕੂ ਦਾ ਵਰਤਣਾ । The four transgressions, which must be avoided are (1) Dishonouring the hair, (2) Eating Kuttha, (3) Intimate relationship with a person other than one’s spouse, and 4) Using tobacco (i.e. intoxicants). The question is, what is Kuttha? While Sikh schola

  10. Max Arthur did not lay the foundation of Singh Sabha, please read some history books. If Singh Sabha is protestant does that make the Sanatanists Catholics? Modern UK niddarists are trying to change what Hindus are by claiming that it is not a religion but a geographic term in order to blur the distinction of Sikhs from the Hindus. They are trying to say that Hindu is not really a religion but a geographical location (i.e. India) and since Sikhs are mostly from India then Sikhs are also Hindus. This type of logic is pure hogwash.. It simply does not make sense make sense if you put Sikh scrip

Ask Sikh Channel how they could support a Sikh Sanstha that promotes Manmat by allowing alcohol to be served under the Sikh banner. Let's see what they say....

  21. I can only talk from my own experience and descriptions in Gurbani: Method: Naam Simran and Amrit Vela Key: Love, compassion, Forgiveness, Trust, Selfless Service, A deep yearning to understand yourself and realise who/what god is. Method will only take us to the Tenth Door if we have planted the seeds with the Key. But in the end it is also i think your Love and Yearning that God senses in your heart that ignites the explorer in you, that gets you dedicated with your Naam Simran. God bless everyone on their journey.

  27. I'll tell you a true personal story. When I was in third grade (give or take a year) I woke up and looked outside my window (my window and room is towards the street) and I saw flashing lights and heard sirens. I woke up in the morning and asked my mom on the way to class what had happened, but she nor my dad later told me. After some time they finally said what happened. It turned out that my neighbor's daughter had hung herself. My dad was on good terms with the family and the girl was a step daughter and I guess she had been bullied in the high school that I would come to attend as I went
