Pavan isn't air or havah is it ? My monkey jatt brain tell me that the sound of ooongggh was first as in ek onkaar. then came the pavan. this pavan is the whole life force of creation that keep everything tivking over and active. the havah you breathe or oxygen in lungs is not the same thing, but the pavan is the active force or something... at college some doctor told us that just oxygen on it's own can not keep person alive because if there is no pavan or pran energy in it...it's no good ! there must be an english word for it but i don't know....sorry

As well as that they should be taking affadivits from the survivors and relatives of those that were killed and live abroad. These should then be used to get arrest warrants against any of the Punjab police officials involved in these killings if they ever come abroad.

Great work Ensaaf are doing. One of the key things they are doing are listing the names and addresses of those killed in the Genocide. Without this information its very difficult to get justice for the victims, this is something our numerous Sikh organisations should have done a long time ago.

Great story of struggle by the Sikhs. Unfortunately no recognition to this sacrifice in India as Gandhi and Nehru were not involved. The Gurdwara freedom struggle is another area that is not covered in India, as they don't want any credit going to Sikhs.

I think its because everyone wants the easy way out! obviously a guy would think "oh no ill have to tie a pagg and face racism and the girls wont fancy me" and the girls will think "I'm going to look so desi, the boys will think I'm ugly and old fashioned" so they think lets just cut our hair and we'll fit in the crowd and everyone will like us! So I just think its peers pressure if we keep our kesh we will encourage others to as well because being young peer pressure is a big thing! They don't realise that actually when we'll keep our kesh and tie a pagg we'll see who our true friends are and who actually judges us on our personality and not looks. But I do understand why people feel this and find it difficult!

What is your priority in life ? Take a pen & paper, right down top 5. Later figure/plan/discuss how to achieve them. This exercise will help in getting a definitive answer.

Some good points made here. I was going to say to stay a little calm, but you've already addressed your own awareness of krodh. Being aware, accepting and then trying to address is the core of our personal battles sometimes. In gurbani quite often is the praise of har har or ram ram, but as well as going from darkness to light, Waheguru is also saying har har and ram ram as well. I heard that people would often ask whether to say har or ram.. As per Bhai Gurdas ji vaar, the ''He'' is for Har, and ''Ru'' is for Ram. ....so you get both in there as well 'Gu'' for gobind.

Bro , I wish to be very precise .When we refer to Panch tatt in philosophy , it should not be mixed with the elements as in chemistry . These are five elementry requirements for the making of the Universe , the Brahmand . While the first three Jal - VAayu and Prithvi represent the three states of the matter ( the Gas ,the Liquid & the Solid ) next is Agni , the Energy and finally the Akaash or the Space . these are the Five basic requirements of a living Universe , wherever these five are in unbalanced state , Life does not exist . The sun where Agni is the main element , no life supposedly exists . In far away planets of our solar System Vayu is almost non existant due to low temperature ( little Agni )and Solid Mass (PRithvi ) is the main component , and no life exists . and the space is which encloses all other components. Even the air or vayu needs Space to exist . Where only space exists , need I say any thing ?

I've attended many of his talks and at first they are interesting and in subsequent talks one finds he repeats himself time and again, whether it be Gatka bashing and inevitable disrespect of swords , 'takhur siaan' moves (removal of nether region of men), sakhi about a bibi taking on a few Mughals, where he believes the kakaars came from, criticising every jatha that does not fit into his version of what's right and wrong (apart from Guru Ji, no one can claim 100% truth) and so on. No we dont, we have the right respect for Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Its a shame you see him only as a political leader, he was a superb soldier as well, but for someone who feels that dhunda should be honoured with khalsa after his name, i am beginning to understand why. You may not feel he is your Maharaja, but the people of Panjab did, almost to a man they did. And thats what matters.
