  1. Native american genocide is one of the worst in history. So much Human suffering that it is unbelievable. http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/American_Indian_Genocide

  2. To add to the above, Muslims are the 'effect.' They are not the 'cause.' Who creates and foments an environment - in the West - that encourages those within their ranks to push boundaries? They haven't just magicked their way into being, have they? It's the Establishment that allows them and anyone else to thrive in such circumstances. The White Establishment that we repeatedly vote for time and time again; the establishment - Left and Right - that's taking the public for fools. The difference between an admittedly diverse group such as Muslims - however homogeneous - and another minority group that doesn't follow a fundamentally proto-facscist political and religious ideology is that the non-Muslim group's raison d'être does not hinge on a belief system that directs its followers that in order to be a true believer one must propagate that faith in whichever way possible, peacefully or otherwise, dependent on the situational context of the environment in question, I.E. bide your time until a moment arrives where you will be free to enact a direct course of action. That ^^^ is where the White Western powers are underestimating the followers of Islam. The Establishment believes they (the West) are in control of the various geo-political games being played all over the world involving Islamic interests and parties, but ultimately what they've failed to realise is that the West has unleashed the genie from the bottle (no pun intended), and unfortunately now that it's tasted freedom it will never willingly return to its confines. Anyway, the Islamic "problem" is a smokescreen designed to disguise the sleight of hand being performed by our so-called leaders. The true crimes being perpetuated are ones involving economics and politics. The flash-bang of terrorism and immigration is just a flashpoint around which to focus people's attention whilst drawing attention away from the things we should be focusing on.

  3. That link is from 2015, and it pertains to Ed Miliband's Labour Party. In case you are unaware, Ed Miliband lost the prime-ministerial election and is no longer leader of the Labour Party. It is irrelevant. On the contrary Singh Ji, I think Islam is the single most dangerous ideology in the world today. But making martyrs of Muslims by banning them from America or persecuting their religion, as Trump intends to do, will only strengthen it. Persecution never has its intended effect, it only emboldens those at whom it is directed. We Sikhs ought to understand this better than anybody, in light of our history. Trump isn't a champion of common sense, he's just trying to curry favour with the American people, most of whom are too stupid (mentally hobbled by corrosive ideologies such as radical Christianity) to realize that his solutions will achieve nothing but the expansion of what they purport to oppose. What do they think the Muslims are going to do when Trump bans them from entering and starts profiling them specifically? They're going to be angry, and we all know what happens whenever Muslims get angry. Our brand of British right wing politics is very different from its American counterpart. As is the character of British people, who are generally much more cynical and less gullible than the average American, a cynicism which is reflected in the general hostility with which our politicians are treated by all and sundry. This is probably why he receives a cold reception in the comments section of the mail, that and the fact that mail readers are a miserable pack of sh1ts who survive on negativity. The scumminess of the reactionary left does not make Trump or the things he says right. No, I don't think he was insulting the turban, but why should that preclude me from seeing him for what he is? - a fool and a danger.

  5. I'm glad people are alluding to the BIG point of western leaders actually secretly wanting some level of violent terrorism to take place, so they can try and use it as a tool to keep focus off of their own many kartootan. Given both the economic and cultural uncertainty in the west today, and given the devious nature of politics being played by some, it's actually logical that certain politicians would do that. Especially those who want to keep eyes and focus off the growing discrepancy between the rich and poor. Thing is, they may arrogantly feel that they can switch this jihadi threat on and off - as required for their agenda, but that is likely to be the fatal miscalculation on their part.

  6. Gurbani says nothing is real so that we can de-attached from world seen as separate entity and gurbani says it so it can take us outside of maya then its more of meditative experience rather than conceptual, theological or philosophical statement. Its rather an spiritual stage in one life where world appears like a dream/not real as eternal witness- our true self seems more real than what is being witnessed, until the duality of what's being seen-witnessed and seer-witness is gone true purpose of life - absolute truth realization cannot takes place which is everything is god including world. Absolute true (Sat) realization transcendent both good and bad, there is no good and bad as per gurbani from absolute point of view (non duality gurbani stance).

  8. There is every point in living, if you share your dukh by talking to somebody. What is stressing you? Why do you feel low? Don't worry about it, Gurbani tho asra levo (turn to Gurbani for support). Whatever you are going through, accept God's will, Hukam and do Ardas to them to get you through your bad times. In good times, thank God for them. In bad times, do Ardas. And at in both times, good or bad, do Simran. Your life belongs to Waheguru, so if you feel you can't do nothing for yourself, then do for them. Live for God, serve God and ask for their support.

  9. That's a nice piece of writing, Harsharan Paji. I thank God for gracing me with all of those experiences, I would also like to add, it makes one understand better what others are going through and also that there are a diversity of personalities in this world, that you would never expect to see. As one goes about their daily lives, God's creation make up Sukhi and Dukhi people and as we all pass each other, we do not know the life of somebody until they tell us. Assumption is a tricky concept. It's always assumed, one is able to cope with issues/problems just because their presentation or behaviour is normal. But when we start seeing under all of that, then the personalities start to reveal. "More vibrant " - more determined to not give up with problems. "More alive" - one starts to realise life is worth putting effort into to get the best from it thus making one more alert. "More loving" - one becomes more caring towards close ones, and devoted to humanity. "More compassionate" - understanding is obtained and those that a problem for one are tolerated better. "More active" - lolz ? I'm afraid that's not happened with me, but my typing has become more active ? Lol. To develop personality it would take other activities and experiences too, and that I have to learn still and long way to go, as I'm a slow learner. ?? Waheguru.

  12. WJKKWJKF Sadh Sangat Ji,please post some suggestions and links to sources for learning and understanding SHABADS from gurbani,. I feel very ashamed when sometimes I dont know the complete Shabad sung at GURUDWARA SAHIB.I personally believe we should atleast try to learn all the SHABADS because when you know the SHABADS ,you stay more focussed while listening to kirtan at GURUDWARA SAHIB. Earlier too I have tried to learn Shabads but I want to do it in a systematic manner this time. This time I want to learn ,understand and imbibe one SHABAD at one time.

Yea ok dude, lets see if someone can get away with looking into trump eyes infront of his supporters, telling him off with finger squarely, lets see if trump supporter bow down and respect their "freedom of speech" concept. We all saw what happened in the rallies, so take that trumphet of freedom of speech song and shove it where it doesn't shine as obviously trump supporters dont believe in practically when its not convenient for them..!!

  17. Well i am not in america, but if he was here in our north canadian side, he would have gotten few law suits by now, be summoned in human rights tribunal, banned from our border services.. Freedom of speech is one thing, spreading inciting hate is another that no longer is freedom of speech but rather hate speech and we have hate speech laws in this country to protect all. No thanks about India. I am staying right here in canada may be we will finish building walls to keep away from trump die hard supporters before you guys do and same time accept all the people from states who does not want to stay in states if trump wins.

  18. Question of personality. Once someone asked a Gyani :How to develop our personality ? The Gyani replied: To develop your personality, you have to spend five days to have these five experiences to really blossom in your life. You can develop your personality with these five experiences. You have to sincerely play these five roles: 1. The first role which I would recommend to you is to be a School Teacher. To teach lessons to children who are not learning, you need a lot of patience. Being a nursery or primary school teacher, even for one day, you will see how you have to increase your patience. 2. Be a Gardener or spend a day with a Farmer. If you are sowing the seeds, if you are watering the plants, you will know how you must care for water, earth and the environment. You will have a feeling for the environment. You will value food and you will not waste food. You know, what we do? We bring so much food, and we put it in the fridge and, after a few days in the refrigerator, we throw the food. We are wasting millions and millions of tons of food every day. We should not waste food. This we will learn if we spend one day being a farmer or a gardener. 3. You should spend a day in the mental hospital. Whatever people talk in the mental hospital, you don’t mind. If they scold you, if they blame you, if they curse you, will you mind? You don’t mind because you are aware that this person is mentally sick. You know that many people are outside the hospital, but that does not mean they are mentally well. So, in life, you come across people who blame you for nothing, who are jealous or angry, who say things that make no sense. Then, you know, you will have the patience to deal with them with a smile. You will not take the garbage inside and spoil your mind. So one day if you spend in a mental hospital, you will know how to save your mind. You will stop being a football of others’ opinions. 4. One day you must go to a prison. Maybe it is shocking to you. You don’t have to do a wrong thing to go to a prison. Just go visit a prison, spend a little time with the prisoners. You will understand what compassion is. What helplessness is. Those people did a mistake without awareness. So you will know how you must have a say on your emotions. 5. There are terminally ill people in the hospital. One day with them, and you will realize how precious life is. And you will start valuing health. You will eat better, you will exercise. You will do all that is needed to be more vibrant in your life. With these five days what would be the outcome? I guess from these five days you will become More Vibrant, More Alive, More Loving, Compassionate and Active.

  19. Nice, hanji, there are some people that get happy when somebody else is Dukhi, I know from experience from it happening to me, because I never used to do any chugli or say bad of anybody, and the people I thought were closest to me, didn't like this way of thinking, so when I was diagnosed with my health condition, I knew they were happy seeing me suffer. Although, it did make me angry and it does hurt ones soul when nobody helps, but then God sends somebody else. One should never give up, it may take some time, as you say according to one's karm, but patience is vital too. The main thing is not to overstress from the bad phases in life. I can't stay not stress at all, as every soul has some sort of stress in life, but knowing somebody is there, and one is not alone, helps. Insaaniyat, is all about helping each other as best as we can. Je kise le koi kuch kar nai sakde, insaan honsla tha deh sakde.

  20. Trump wouldn't be so much of a problem if he can speak in a responsible way so that his many wacky garden variety of followers don't get carried away and start abusing, restoring to violence to other protesters including attacking sikhs mistaken for muslims or innocent muslims. There is a indirect evidence, when trump made muslims speech, sikh at convenience store and innocent muslims were hatefully targeted by racist. Trump is not directly responsible for this off course but he is definitely creating easy environment for all kind of racist, closet racist, fascist etc etc. I don't mind right wing conservative policies at times to handle other religious right wing goons, extreme lefty but as long as they can be assertive, firm and responsible and have careful crafted firm policies like policies by david cameron implemented not like fear monger, affected with extreme hysteria, irresponsible, dictatorship quality politician. So do we need trump to destroy islamic fascist threat? Hell yes, but do rest of world need trump? no way but do make him navy commander to have him deal with islamic terrorist along with putin in middle east. Akaal purkh creates bigger nuts to deal with rest of nuts before consuming both of them into KAAL. Pure khed of akaal purkh happening here.

  21. I do totally agree with you Simran Pen Jee. And we as humans, should do all that possible in our hands, to lift that person who can not even stand up, and offer our shoulder to make him/her walk confidently again. The rest is destiny, each person´s own karam. Once I read something beautiful which impressed me, and I would like to share it here, so it goes: Human beings are born to just be helpful to others. Sat Sree Akal.

  22. Good post Harshran Paji, we should ask for help when we need it, or when we cannot cope. It's nothing to be ashamed of if we see others confident and things going right in their lives, but not in own. So, when one falls, they should get up again, no matter how many times they fall, try again, it will get easier.

  23. MOVING ROCKS A Little Boy Was Spending His Saturday Morning Playing In His Sandbox. He Had With Him His Box Of Cars And Trucks, His Plastic Pail, And A Shiny, Red Plastic Shovel. In The Process Of Creating Roads And Tunnels In The Soft Sand, He Discovered A Large Rock In The Middle Of The Sandbox. The Boy Dug Around The Rock, Managing To Dislodge It From The Dirt. With A Little Bit Of Struggle, He Pushed And Nudged The Large Rock Across The Sandbox By Using His Feet. When The Boy Got The Rock To The Edge Of The Sandbox, He Found That He Couldn't Roll It Up And Over The Wall Of The Sandbox. Determined, The Little Boy Shoved, Pushed, And Pried, But Every Time He Thought He Had Made Some Progress, The Rock Tipped And Then Fell Back Into The Sandbox. The Little Boy Grunted, Struggled, Pushed, & Shoved; But His Only Reward Was To Have The Rock Roll Back, Smashing His Chubby Fingers. Finally He Burst Into Tears Of Frustration. All This Time The Boy's Father Watched From His Living Room Window As The Drama Unfolded. At The Moment The Tears Fell, A Large Shadow Fell Across The Boy And The Aandbox. It Was The Boy's Father. Gently But Firmly He Said, 'Son, Why Didn't You Use All The Strength That You Had Available?' Defeated, The Boy Sobbed Back, 'But I Did, Daddy, I Did! I Used All The Strength That I Had!' 'No, Son,' Corrected The Father Kindly. You Didn't Use All The Strength You Had. You Didn't Ask Me.' With That The Father Reached Down, Picked Up The Rock And Removed It From The Sandbox. Do You Have 'Rocks' In Your Life That Need To Be Removed? Are You Discovering That You Don't Have What It Takes To Lift Them? There Is Always Someone Such As A Loved One Or A Friend Available To Us And Who Is Willing To Give Us The Strength We Need. Isn't It Funny How In Life We Often Try So Hard To Do Things Ourselves, When All We Had To Do Was Ask For Help? This post is somehow dedicated to the OP, to inspire and cheer up him/her . There is much more in life than dark clouds, which in due time shall pass away. Sat Sree Akal.

  25. Thanks everyone for your replies. I would appreciate if everybody will start posting one Shabad with meaning each day.

  26. Shabads which are commonly sung in the guradwara can be found in the amrit kirtan which can be downloaded. Finding the meanings of one Shabad at a time lets say daily - concentrate on one particular shabad which you heard. Read the meanings and recite it aa much as you can. Learning by memory a number of the main shabads helps greatly. Visiting the guradwara frequently will help you keep choosing your new shabad to learn. It is important to keep in mind prema bhagti too. Recite the shabad which appeals to you most. Sing with the tune which you like the most. As with everything this takes time too to reach a place where you feel you can understand almost most of the shabads. Katha with shabads hepps greatly. Some giani jis recite one shabad only with katha. This helps better as the meaning is easier to understand when you can relate it to the katha character experiences. It is a general requirement that sikhs memorise a shabad a day. I am surprised that this has not been brought up in any recent forums. Reading a few pages of SGGS Ji daily is also part of this rehet.

  28. Ok jee, good, there is no point living here.... But then, have you thought where you shall go, after here? Have you any idea of that place, will it have anythig better than here, or you want to go away blindly, without any idea ..... or do you think, the place you go, you can live with your choices and wishes? Anything done blindly, is like opening the door and inviting more and more disasters on oneself. Now please do not tell me, anything is better than here, because that is not truth at all. If you want to be happy, hold on firmly to the source of all happiness, which is undoubtedly Wahiguru Himself. Then, go straight there where He is, having Him as goal, you will never feel disheartned, nor cheated, but on the contrary, you will feel His love, His protection, His warmth, you will never ever have any sensation of loneliness, because, then you will turn from a drop as soul, into, the infinite Satnam Samundar... Dear Guest Jee _*_, next time you write any post, beware, none of us here want to listen any depressing nonsense from you, like the one quoted above, we are all with you, you have our affection and sympathy, just let yourself go ..... If not anything else, just repeat His Naam with love, regularly and punctually without fail, and HE will come and dwell within you, and that is more than enough.... Wah wah wah, Wahiguru Jee. Oouch Apaar Beant Soami. Sat Sree Akal.

  30. He said he is for supporting minority rights clearly in video. Like I said previously only victim mentality and self hate is making punjabis think Trump and right is against them. Salute to Lt Murphy. It's the hippy "Sikh" orgs that always bend to islamist apologist propaganda that spread fearmongering and victim mentality. Saying that I'm still pretty liberal myself but I would like to think I'm independent in my thinking. If Hillary is the nominee I am actually probably going to change my vote to Trump unless it's Bernie.

  32. Dear guest, take this your present condition of being alone as a blessing in disguise. Whole world is trying to get out from maya and find a place of solace to try to meditate at His Lotus Feet, and you while being amidst the world, you have the perfect envoirements to do His bhakti. You are realizing the truth of our state in this world, that we have come alone and we shall go alone. We belong to none, and nobody is ours. Almost the whole world is entangled strongly with maya , thus struggling to detach from it. And you with His grace, are almost ready... Now tell the mind to shut up, enough of its nonsense, then firmly and faithfully dedicate yourself in His bhajan bandagee without wavering. The Bani says: Prabh ka Simran sabh tay oocha. So do His Simran regularly without fail, and gather this spiritual wealth of His Naam Simran, as much as you can, as it is the only wealth you can carry with you, and it is the only visa accepted in His Darbar, and it is the source of true happiness or bliss, cause no matter whatever else you may do, or are told to do. Because you are then not following any man made laws, but His Hukum, as per Bani, and the Bani of our Guru Sahibans is unique and the highest. So cheer up, and be thankful barambaar to Sachay Patshah Wahiguru Akal Purukh. The Bani says: Sukhmani, sukh Amrit Prabh Naam. His Naam, is the panacea for all our ills, and the unending fountain of permanent true happiness, throughout all yugas. Sat Sree Akal.

  34. Gurbani doesn't say this world isn't real. It says this world is an illusion, not in the literal sense of the word, but because it is transitory. All the pleasures and attachments we may derive from it are fleeting and most of our efforts are ultimately for nothing, since we will die eventually. It would be more worthwhile, Guru Sahib says, to focus on extricating ourselves from the cycle of rebirth. Of course what people do matters - Sometimes. For instance, if Aurangzeb hadn't beheaded Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, would the Tenth Patshaah have felt the need to introduce the Khalsa brotherhood of saint-soldiers? That event resonates to this day, and the Khalsa is the central institution of the Sikh world. Clearly Aurangzeb's actions mattered, they left a lasting impression on the world and our faith. On the other hand, if somebody acquires a nice job or a snazzy car, the implications of this on the world are pretty minimal - they don't really matter at all. Sometimes we matter. Sometimes we don't. Why fret about it? Stay in Chardi Kala.
