  1. Topics which need serious research: I want to do Budha Dal Rehras Sahib but I'm not a budha. Is this against maryada? I was picking fruit and veg in my garden but my pruning scissors were blunt. Are these still jhatka or are they now halal? I work for the Royal Mail and our uniform is red. Have I broken maryada? I was rubbing my eyes and an eyelash fell out. Do I have to go pesh? Did our God drink sukha? Last but not least...is my God better than other Gods? Please contribute. Thanks.

  7. VJKK VJKF VeerJi, it's beautiful to know Maharaj has done so much kirpa on you to know so much bani and I've read through many of your posts and it really does seem like Maharaj has done a lot of kirpa of you with so much bani and proclaimed visions you've attained. You seem very very blessed Ji. Just one thing I would like to add if I may - I hope I don't offend you Ji. It's natural and easy to start to gain a bit more ahankaar as our avastha heightens and we gain spiritually. It's why Maharaj tells us these powers have no value or taste to us because the ultimate is to get to Maharaj and these just deviate us from our goal by increasing our ego and make us no longer "see the wood for the tree" in the sense that these powers are only an indication that we are getting to Maharaj and how far we are progressing. I'm a mere moorakh and I know nothing - but I would just request Ji that we speak sweetly to each other and not be so aggressive Ji and that not to be so engrossed in these ridh-sidhs as ultimately they will divert us from our true goal. We can only achieve these great avasthas and become mahapurakhs and one with Maharaj when we lose our ego and haumai and becoming engrossed in the powers and boasting about the amount of amount we do doesn't help with losing our ego or haumai - infact it increases it. I heard a Sakhi about a Hindu "sant" (I'm not attacking any Hindus Ji I'm just quoting sant because of the recently controversy over how reliable these sefl-proclaimed sants really are nowadays) and he used to jap a lot of naam so he had quite an avastha on him but he used to swear A LOT. He used to continually swear and swear at everyone because he was quite an angry and egotistical person. One day, a gursikh came upto him when they heard about him being a sant and his naam jap and heard him swearing so prefusely. The gursikh came upto him and said "Why are you swearing so much? Is everything okay?" And the sant replied by swearing at him, telling him to go away etc. Then the gursikh said "All your naam jap has no effect on you and doesn't help you get to Maharaj. Milk is so pure and clean. Do you like milk?". The sant replied that he did indeed like milk. The gursikh said "Well if I then urinated in the milk, would you still drink it? Would you still say it's pure?" And the sant said "No - are you've mad?". The gursikh replied "No. I'm just humbly going to request you stop urinating in your milk". I probably made many mistakes telling that sakhi as I heard it a while back in a gurdwara but the jist of the story is there. So VeerJi - as your moorakh, low-life brother I would just humbly request we speak sweetly to each other as Bhagat Fareed Ji says below and that we try and not let the powers and avastha get the better of us as eventually we can become so engrossed in these powers and other irrelevant things that we lose the whole point of why we starting to jap naam and read bani in the first place - to get back to Maharaj Ji. Maaf karna Ji. Vaheguru Ji.

  12. He was alpha as anything. A proper "Banda." Liberal Sikhs want to downplay or even write him out of Sikh history because of his aversion for Islam, and the way he went about giving those animals a bloody nose. He perhaps went too far, and like a genuine man, he was all too willing to accept his mistakes, and the following quote of his prior to his execution - in a conversation with a Mughal higher-up - proves he understood the nature of God more than most so-called men of God: "Whenever men become so corrupt and wicked as to relinquish the path of equity and abandon themselves to all kinds of excesses, then Providence never fails to raise up a scourge like me to chastise a race so depraved; but when the measure of punishment is full then he raises up men like you to bring him to punishment."

  13. In the past few years, owing to a boom in the field of Sikh Studies, we have witnessed a number of impressionable Sikh youth fall under the sway of Nihang Dals in Europe. Whereas the Dals of the past were famed for their martial prowess and political pull, their modern-day counterparts are nothing more than hollowed out shades. Budha-Dal UK, for all it's seva, has ultimately been backed in the corner owing to several factors: 1.) It was initially adamant that Nidar Singh was not connected, in any form, to the RSS. The man's own admission, and controversial actions at Nanded, flew in the face of their pretexts and ultimately they were forced to go into damage control mode. 2.) They stringently opposed Balbir Singh's Jathedari and promulgated Baba Joginder Singh Ji as Jathedar in the imprisoned Baba Surjit Singh Ji's stead. Baba Joginder Singh, slowly, was assimilated into Balbir Singh's faction and now openly supports him and espouses his chieftainship. 3.) It cannot be denied that in his initial years Santa Singh performed seva for the Panth, but his connections with Congress are already well known among Nihangs and non-Nihangs alike. He openly espoused Giani Zail Singh's chief-ministry of Punjab, received a police escort, received governmental amnesty whenever he forcefully captured prime land or an eatery, and in the 80's was let off for having fellow Nihangs like Ranjit Singh Balangan and his family murdered. The UK Nihangs, contrary to history, are brainwashing their young acolytes into believing that he was some sage who opposed the "demonic" Sant Jarnail Singh or forewarned him against the Akalis- its an archetypal pretext from the Dal, "we don't support the Akalis, lets use this as an excuse whenever we shaft the Panth..."- no ready consensus is available, even from among the Nihangs themselves, as to what Santa Singh did: did he oppose the Dharam Yudh Morcha or did he endorse it? Such nefarious activities will surely prove detrimental in the future if not arrested swiftly. There needs to be pressure put on various foreign based Nihang Dals to implement transparency in their doings and provide a general indication of how they will resolve the historic differences which have crept up between them and the mainstream. Otherwise their present obsolescence will push them into oblivion in the near future.

  14. The Obstacle in Our Path In ancient times, a king had his men place a boulder on a roadway. He then hid in the bushes, and watched to see if anyone would move the boulder out of the way. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers passed by and simply walked around it. Many people blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them did anything about getting the stone removed. One day, a peasant came along carrying vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to push the stone out of the way. After much pushing and straining, he finally managed. After the peasant went back to pick up his vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and note from the King explain that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the road. Moral of the story: Every obstacle that we come across gives us an opportunity to improve our circumstances, and while the lazy complain, others are creating opportunities through their kind hearts, generosity, and willingness to get things done..

If such is the state of negativity, then surely, all that one thinks about oneself so much, it is all "baraham". Before cursing anyone, be careful, for if that person takes shelter in Wahiguru´s kirpa, that very curse, may come back as a boomerang....better give blessings if you ever want to give anything, that may do more benefit on the other person, as well as on yourself. Stay blessed. Sat Sree Akal.

  17. VJKK VJKF Sangat Ji, I just found a book a few minutes ago where I'd been writing Vaheguru in Gurmukhi and there's many, many pages of it. It's a lined paper notebook with only gurmantar in it. My room is the highest in the whole house but I know that means nothing in terms of the satkaar I should give bani. Please tell daas what to do with the book Ji. I don't want to burn the book but if I can't keep it properly I understand that I'll have to burn it. Maaf karna Ji - the only thing I can think of it is to burn the book but I start to well up every time I flick through the pages and see the bani and I am so in love with the gurmantar I don't want to burn it but I understand that the satkaar is more important. Vaheguru Ji.

  25. http://www.tribuneindia.com/news/punjab/nia-takes-over-six-cases-with-khalistan-link/512930.html If you read the article above you can see tecently there have been few high profile killings of controversial figures in punjab. The Indian establishment member and freemason atheist secular punjabi dog captain amrinder singh blames Khalistani's for it. Yet all evidence points towards either RSS/Hindtva groups or Indian govt agents trying to defame the Khalistani's due to the 2020 Khalistan campaign. On the eve of the punjab elections where congress party defeated the corrupt dog badal and his anti-panthic akali party the congress party members did a small car bomb attack on some random place in punjab and blamed Khalistani's for it. No group claimed responsibility but suspicions in the panth are that Indian agents linked to congress party carried it out just as they had did similar antics in 1980s to attack the Sikh panth. The corrupt inhumane terrorist Indian establishment can't reach the Sikhs in the west from speaking out against the crimes it has committed against their community in India. They cant stop the freedom of expression and freedom of speech to fight for an independent nation state of Khalistan. They cant silence the right of self determination so they are trying to falsify evidence, trying to implicate Sikhs from aboard in killings that they themselves have carried out in false flag operations so that they can try to scare or dis-wade those who are against Indian terrorism and anti-sikh crimes that they are not unreachable and Indian govt terrorist agents can try to implicate them in order to silence them. So as we have seen Juggi the british born operator of the neverforget84 website was recently outrageously kidnapped by state agents and put in jail pending a trial. It has been the wish of the modi/indian govt to slience Sikhs aboard because they are a nuisance, causing a fuss about mass murder and vicitimisation of their minority community at the hands of the powerful. They know its embarrassing for them everytime they visit that Sikhs 4 justice protest against them and highlight their murderous regime and state terrorism against our community and other minorities.

  28. There was a girl on sikh channel wjo could tell the shabad off head and the page it was on as well. She had obviously memorized it in the last janam. This is what I am talking about. The divisions we have now have always been there. When I read sikh history evil and division was there even during the Guru jis times. Each Guru ji starting from Guru Arjun Dev ji had an opposer. Sri Chand and his udasis only integrated into the Sikhs after Huru Har Gobind Ji gave him his son Baba Gurditta ji. It should be noted that Guru ji made an effort to bridge the gap. Our divisions just work towards making the gap bigger and bigger. The Sikhi I have been brought up in did not know the words nihang, taksaal and AKJ. However my youngest sister picked all this up from university. So who planted all this? Did it come from India or has it always been a part of UK sikhi? I have known the divisions of singh sabha, nanak sariye and Ramgharie. EEvery religion will have its subtle differences just as every individual has their own beliefs. Each one practices siikhi to a different level according to the kirpa of Waheguru. True religion is tolerant of evil too. The Guru jis had the power of getting rid of all their opposers in a very fast and furious way. However they never used this power. They had great control and they only submitted to the hukam of Waheguru by living as normal human beings, eating, working, performing seva, having families and being utmost humble (Guru Arjun Dev Ji sent mata Ganga Ji to Baba Budha Ji to get ashirvaadh to get a baby) It does not mean that he had no powers to give himself this dhaat. The power Guru ji had I him must have been so great. He wrote most of the shabads in the Guru Granth sahib ji which Guru Gobind Singh Ji installed later as the Guru. Therefore its up to the individual whether they want to focus on the divisions or the truth that lies hidden within religion just as both exist within us to. Bikh amrit base ik sanga.

  32. The Singhs who dragged Bhai Kanhaiya before Kalgidhar Patshaah sounded very similar to you. "Why give water to some muslim, an enemy, when you could be giving water to a Sikh instead? Shouldn't the Sikhs be a priority?" I shouldn't have to remind you how this turned out for them. When Dashmesh Pitaa asked Bhai Sahib why he had done this, Kanhaiya replied "I saw no Mughal or Sikh on the field of battle Maharaj, I saw only you". Guru Gobind Singh said that of all those present in the group Kanhaiya alone had understood the real message of Gurbani. Bhai Kanhaiya was right. The Singhs were wrong. I believe you are wrong about this too bhenji. Be careful not to become so obsessed with protecting 'sikhi' that you forget what you're supposed to be protecting in the first place. Helping somebody is never a waste of anything, it is not only one of the best things we can do for others, but one of the best things we can do for our own Sikhi.

  33. All revolutions tend to be violent. Without force, all movements are ultimately deadened. The Punjabi peasants, irrespective of Caste and Creed, rose up as one under Banda's dynamism to confront their oppressors who were notorious for many misdeeds. A few portions from the article, in question, should substantiate this: 'The peasant, since time immemorial, has been one of the pontificate societal blocs of the sub-continent. The onset of the Aryan invasion, and the societal evolution which followed, reduced him to the status of a pariah in the Varna (Caste) scheme of things. (2) The raison d’ etre behind this was that the tillers of land perpetually killed insects and as such were unworthy of pursuing Moksha or liberation from worldly affairs. (3) Caste segregation however did not conclude there. It’s promulgators alleged, on a scriptural basis, that the peasant was a pariah owing to his past Karma; thus then there was no recourse left for the peasant but to accept his lot in life silently. His suffering was perniciously impugned on his own self by his betters and he was indoctrinated into believing that only he was responsible for his own oppression.' 'The context in which Banda ignited his revolution can only be understood if one was to analyze the condition of the peasantry under the Mughal Polity. The Prophet Muhammad had decreed to his apostles, before his demise, to conquer lands far and wide and spread Islam at all costs even if this meant resorting to the razor edge of the sword. (4) The fervor and passion with which his apostles executed this edict is a lurid tale of genocides, massacres and purges which have earned a notorious residence in history. The indifference with which the upper Castes persecuted their sub-ordinate brethren was the same indifference with which the invading Muslims oppressed both them and their victims. The Rulers of Islam, dependent as they were upon an ultra-orthodox clergy to ratify them, soon realized that the Prophet’s command clashed with a ground reality. In the words of Eraly, ‘…as the Arab empire expanded into the lands of other established religions, it became impossible to enforce the death-or-Islam rule, as infidels in new territories were too firm in their own faith to accept Islam, and too numerous to be killed. Moreover the subject people were needed to do the productive work which Muslims, as the ruling class, usually shirked.’' 'Placating the Islamic Ulama required the conversion of dar-ul-harb-the land of infidels- into the dar-ul-Islam or the land of Muslims. (6) Given the aforementioned factors though, this was a colossal implausibility. The Mughal elite however avoided any clerical repercussions by utilizing a loophole in this principle. They imposed a transitional arrangement upon their infidel subjects which stipulated that, ‘their lives were spared only provisionally; they were permitted to live only on sufferance. And as long as they remained infidels, they had to suffer numerous humiliating disabilities…’ (6) Owing to Caste, the fractured state of sub-continental society did not allow any prolonged resistance towards the Islamic rulers. Ephemeral revolts such as Maharana Pratap’s were ultimately crushed by individuals belonging to his own community whilst the Mughals interfered only occasionally.' Muslims, read Islam-Sikhism; the Da'wah group etc, who tend to argue that Muslims only destroyed non-Muslim places of worship for political reasons: 'Muslim apologists contend that under Islamic rule such acts were only ever ordered for political purposes (9) but the destruction of a religious place of worship , even for political purposes, does not signify respect for another faith. Rather, it only exposes the ruling race/faith’s prejudice towards a subject people. The cause, and level, of intolerance may vary but the antipathy cannot be ignored.' 'Contemporary records, of the time, substantiate the almost sub-human existence of the peasant. Moreland notes that, ‘the peasant is the last person to benefit by a rise in price, while he is the first to suffer from a fall…’ (10) A marked difference existed between both Muslims and Hindus even in matters of employment and occupation. Muslims, as the ruling class, shirked what they perceived as being menial tasks. These were often thrown upon the Hindus who whilst performing them had to undergo numerous humiliations. Among them the prime sufferers were usually the artisan or the peasant. ‘The tyranny is often so excessive as to deprive the peasant and artisan of the necessities of life, and leave them to die of misery and exhaustion…’ (11) During Aurangzeb’s reign Bernier noted that, ‘a considerable portion of the good land remains untilled from want of labourers, many of whom perish in consequence of the bad treatment they experience from the governor…’ (12) The Dutch trader Pelsaert would contrast the grandeur of Muslim life with that of the Hindu’s when he would remark that, ‘in the palaces of these lords dwells all the wealth there is, wealth which glitters indeed, but is… wrung from the sweat of the poor… resting on no firm foundation… (though) resplendent in the eyes of the world.’' Given such brutalities is it any wonder then that Sullahs were dragged out of their beds and slaughtered in the same way as their Prophet once slaughtered those who refused to believe in his cult?

  34. How sad that on a thread regarding Banda Singh Ji within two posts all the negative/incorrect aspects of Banda Ji are brought up again. Banda Singh was a TRUE son of Guru Gobind Singh Ji , it is said that Guru Ji was about to give Banda Singh Ji His own siri sahib but the likes of Binod Singh grabbed the siri sahib saying this belongs to the Khalsa panth. It was the will of the Guru to give Banda Singh Ji His siri-sahib how sad that the Sikhs opposed their own Guru. The Sikhs would say "Khalsa dhi fateh", Baba Banda Singh Ji would say "Guru dhi fetah". There is rubbish that has been written about Banda Singh Ji I do not believe a word of it. Do you have any idea how oppressive the musallay were at the time? Wedding used to take place in the middle of the night because if the mohgals got wind of it they would come and take off with the bride, anywhere they was a sadhu they would behead, this disease needed to be cut out. All his life he had waited for Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Guru Ji specifically went looking for him, finding him near Nanded. Baba Banda Singh Ji was a Mahan Mahapursh and a Mahan yodha the likes of which we may never see again. Forget any negativity and Rememeber him as a true mahapursh in your adrass's in the morning and you will get great blessings from your Guru.

  36. Simran345, Don't get stressed and bogged down with names of mantars. Leave that for scholars to argue over. Who cares if it's called mool mantar, maha mantar, beej manatar, sadhant mantar etc etc etc You just pick the one you feel like japping and do the practical reciting. That is where you will find the true essence. Not in the title of the mantar. The underlying motive of japping a mantra is to reach the abode of Waheguru right, so recite with full faith and devotion and let it be the guide for the inward journey. You are japping for your own benefit with love so how can anything you jap from gurbani take you the wrong way or do you more harm than good. You will be totally blind on the inward path anyway so let the mantar do the guiding, you just follow it... Lets say you jap any mantar with such intensity and devotion that Waheguru blesses you with his darshan in whatever form that maybe, so fast, that you supposedly die from it. That is possibly the most extreme thing that could happen to you as an individual. Wouldn't it be worthwhile? Haven't you fulfilled the objective of this life and died at his feet? The point I'm making is why be afraid of the consequences of his jaap. He is within you and knows it is he you seek. 40. Granted they do have a very balanced and unbiased view, which is something many claim to have, but in fact do not. But tbh, I don't know where all this is gonna get them. Doing such a 180 like they have is, in the words of Badal Senior, "committing political suicide". Most of their discontent is with Nihangs, and they are entitled to their views some of which are valid too, but one is left wondering if something else has happened behind the scenes and whether it really is to do with their new-found concern for the Panth. Like I said sceptic. They also generalising with their Samparda bashing. Although I'm biased here because my general view is pro-Sampardayee Sikhi. Btw who exactly are the people they've cut ties with? Budha Dal UK or someone else? Or is this info not for public consumption?

  41. Their FB page explains their new stance in no uncertain terms, has good points and carries much value. However, the anti-Samparda views are defo overkill, IMO of course. And apologies, he's not a good guy. Punctuation error - amended.

  42. That's a bit of a leap. Just because he's standing next to a woman, it does not automatically imply something scandalous is going on. And is he also not allowed to make money now either? The only thing these supposedly panthic website know how to do is poison the well, something which our community seems to have a MA in. I wonder if there's a Punjabi version of The Crucible?
