No one is probably gnna answer this lol
But do you live up to your name?
If you have a Sikh/Punjabi name then it has a deep spiritual meaning behind it, have you lived up to yours?
I certainly haven't ! My name is a half Sanskrit and half Punjabi, I won't give the exact meaning but another meaning can be one who has conquered their desires.
One should try to live up to their name, after all it was Guru Sahib that chose your name/the first letter.
It should inspire you.
Lol.
My name is in full Punjabi but i have not lived up to my name yet, cause im still in school

I have been begging for Amrit for so long. Some days I feel so upset because I still haven't been blessed with Amrit. But I do manage console myself with telling myself to be patient and have trust. I really don't know but at this moment I feel my soul is dying without amrit or without maharajs bani. Any bani, keertan, simran that I recite, I feel it's not enough and I can't get over it. I just went to the gurdwara yesterday and I feel like running there back again. I will wait for maharaj to do his kirpa. Sometimes for paapi like me to walk on Maharaj's hukam is quite hard. I know maharaj has heard me and will definitely fulfil my one and only desire to take Amrit.
Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh
Bhenji, don't worry just have patience.Amrit is such a beautiful daat that it makes us thirst for it.Tying a dastaar comes with time.Just stay in Chardikala and continue doing your nitnem. It really helps.Simran as well.Simran gives alot of Anand. Maharaj is all-knowing.He knows that you want Amrit Daat.He will give it when He feels right. After all Maharaj Ji is our Guru Pita. Our Father knows when is best.Just continue having faith.

What are you selecting as the reason when reporting them? I reported them a few times but get notified by Instagram that it does not go against their community guidelines.
Veerji report as hate speech or symbols. When i told my family to report both the accounta,i told them to do hate speech and symbols and it worked.

Has anybody or anybody you know ever had any sort of Darshan of Shaheed Singhs, such as in dream form or physical form darshan. One darshan story of a Shaheed Singh I know is that my Naani’s sons had cut their hair, shaheed singhs from our family lineage would tell her to convince her son to become Gursikh again, the son also started seeing these shaheed singhs in their dreams and he then made the decision to take Amrit again, guru kirpa he is now amritdhari. Please share some stories if you have some.

Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh
Once while sitting in the room that has Guru Sahib Prakash,I was just sitting down doing my bani, then I saw a shaheed Singh ji doing Chaur Sahib sewa near the Palki Sahib. It was a short darshan of about 2 seconds but gave soo much Anand.

One thing I would like to say though. Please do not create accounts in retaliation to these which mock Hinduism. I've seen one account which does that, and one of the comments is "but they did it first". Please don't stoop to their level. By all means report these accounts etc. But don't be childish.
If a dog bites you, doesn’t mean you go bite the dog.
Hanji veerji.Of course we should not do that. Our Hukam by Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj is to stop tyranny and all this beadbi. But definitely we should not put their religion and faith down and create more beadbi.Agree with you

Seeking sangats experiences, are there people who wear them all the time and keep them on at all times?
Has anyone had any issues going through airports? Do they need to be removed if a certain size?
What about at work? Whilst it doesnt matter what people think and always have to explain etc. Should there be consideration for the size of the kara?
Vaheguru ji ka khalsa Vaheguru ji ki fateh
I wear a thick kara.Just started wearing it this year since i could not wear my old Kara.I wear it at all times.I had no issue in school,no one asked. It was not an issue. For airport I don't have experience, but I know one of my family member wears the same size kara as me and last time when we went to india we had no issues.

3 hours ago, GurjantGnostic said:That makes sense then I guess. You just have so much Gyann in your posts in general. Nihung Jathas and Hazoor Sahib have Jhatka practices that relate to their Chakarvarti lifestyle and needing to eat in chaos without supply and be emotionally capable of spilling blood for Dharam Yudh.
Oh ok.Thanks for the information veerji but I'm actually curious how killing innocent beings would give us strength in the battlefield. That is the 1 thing we avoid in battlefield. We dont hurt innocent people in the battlefield. That is the order we are given. We cannot attack woman, children or unarmed beings. So how does attacking unarmed innocent animals give us strength and prepares us?The strength the Singhs had during the Puratan times were from Naam and Bani, not from eating meat.Even Baba Deep Singh ji carried their head on their hand due to Naam Bani. They used to do 108 Japji Sahib at night. That gave them the strength and the ability to hold their head on their hand. Not because of meat.

That's a controversial agree to disagree topic. One foot rests on Jhatka only when needed and the other foot rests on no meat period. The second is more Satogun but this is Kalyug and there is a purpose and tradition to Jhatka.
Why is it controversial?Doesn't Gurbani say that we cant eat meat?
