... They change the bible according to time. Bible said that earth is flat and that we are the only planet with life and are centre of universe and we are the only planet with a moon. Christians have done more damage than good under the name of Jesus. E.g. Converting people to Christianity by force. Killing non-Christians. Being racist (still happens), making slaves because they thought they were the superior of all. Jesus didn't sacrifice. He was sacrificed. He didn't want to die. He was forced. He was beging God to save him but God didn't. He said I will forgive your sins if you come to me. Christians worship Jesus. ....

Jesus's followers wouldn't have refused to accept him if he had some powers or links with God. Changing the Bible doesn't change history. Bible has flaws and had more flaws. It is not word of God. Take this out of your mind. When we talk about Ktaib, it includes the Bible.

"Jesus didn't sacrifice. He was sacrificed. He didn't want to die. He was forced. He was beging God to save him but God didn't. He said I will forgive your sins if you come to me. Christians worship Jesus. We worship Akaal (Deathless), Ajoon (Unborn). Jesus is dead. He is gone. He can;t be the saviour. Only God is the saviour. God never dies. God is also not he. God has no gender. God has no fear. God has no pain. God has no suffering. Only Shabad of God can save you. Bible is not authentic. Jesus's followers wouldn't have refused to accept him if he had some powers or links with God. Changing the Bible doesn't change history. Bible has flaws and had more flaws. It is not word of God. Take this out of your mind. When we talk about Ktaib, it includes the Bible. "

One fundamental difference between middle eastren faiths viz a viz hinduism etc is the concept of Dhuri ki bani.

1.All major faiths claim that there word came from God thru an Angel or god/demi god as in case of vedas. While sikhi says that there is no intermidiatary between you and God and God doesn't needs angels to convey his message. God is within us all and can speak from anywhere.

2. The second concept is will of God. Other religions believe in Will of God but they do have free will. There is no free will in sikhi as whatever we do we think we are doing it because of Ego. In essence we are puppets being pulled by Waheguru.

Man Jeeta Jag Jeet, conquer the mind conquer the world. No faith has ever realized this.

Bhaji actually Budhism has many concepts and Budha's discourses on mind very similar to Sikhi. Budha also said that A true conqourer of the world is the one who has conqoured his mind.

I am posting some quotes by Budha and to see how much they are similar to sikhi also

There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills.

Buddha

Doubt

Fashion your life as a garland of beautiful deeds.

Buddha

Deeds and Good Deeds

It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

Buddha

Control

Temperance is a tree which as for its root very little contentment, and for its fruit calm and peace.

Buddha

Character

Endurance is one of the most difficult disciplines, but it is to the one who endures that the final victory comes.

Buddha

Endurance

I reached in experience the nirvana which is unborn, unrivalled, secure from attachment, undecaying and unstained. This condition is indeed reached by me which is deep, difficult to see, difficult to understand, tranquil, excellent, beyond the reach of mere logic, subtle, and to be realized only by the wise.

Buddha

Experience

Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship.

Buddha

Health

The rule of friendship means there should be mutual sympathy between them, each supplying what the other lacks and trying to benefit the other, always using friendly and sincere words.

Buddha

Friends and Friendship

'He insulted me, he cheated me, he beat me, he robbed me' -- those who are free of resentful thoughts surely find peace.

Buddha

Peace

Buddha

Happiness

A family is a place where minds come in contact with one another.

Buddha

Family

Buddha

Hatred

Hatred does not cease through hatred at any time. Hatred ceases through love. This is an unalterable law.

Buddha

Hatred

Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.

Buddha

Hatred

When one has the feeling of dislike for evil, when one feels tranquil, one finds pleasure in listening to good teachings; when one has these feelings and appreciates them, one is free of fear.

Buddha

Fear

If a man who enjoys a lesser happiness beholds a greater one, let him leave aside the lesser to gain the greater.

Buddha

Enjoyment

This life of separateness may be compared to a dream, a phantasm, a bubble, a shadow, a drop of dew, a flash of lightning.

Buddha

Life and Living

Meditation brings wisdom; lack of mediation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what hold you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.

Buddha

Spirit and Spirituality

Let the wise guard their thoughts, which are difficult to perceive, extremely subtle, and wander at will. Thought which is well guarded is the bearer of happiness.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become.

Buddha

Thoughts and Thinking

Those who are free of resentful thoughts surely find peace.

Buddha

Resentment

What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind.

You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.

Buddha

There has to be evil so that good can prove its purity above it.

Buddha

Evil

The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.

Buddha

Fear

Anger will never disappear so long as thoughts of resentment are cherished in the mind. Anger will disappear just as soon as thoughts of resentment are forgotten.

Buddha

Anger

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one getting burned.

Buddha

Just a note of caution: can we all be careful that if we are going to speak of other religions that are not our own that we make sure we are 100% certain that what we say about them is true and correct. I have noticed that some posts show a confusion between religious practices and maybe not completely correct information :-) If we check on what we are saying it will aid our understanding and stop any confusion arising.

So basically you are into a d#@* measuring competition to decide whose sacrifice was greater. Either you are God almighty himself OR probably vested with powers by God himself to make such judgements on his behalf. Since this is a case of 'tunnel-vision' devotion, your logic would suggest that Jesus Sacrifice=1/2 of Guruji's sacrifice; Abraham's sacrifice=1/4 of Guruji's sacrifice; Buddha's sacrifice=1/3rd of Guruji's sacrifice; Raam's sacrifice=1/6th of Guruji's sacrifice etc.

WIth formulas like these you can rarely go wrong.
