Hinduization Of Sikh Faith & History

juz had brilliant idea last nite (brilliant for me that is!):

1. Immigration to foreign countries has ruined us. It only helped us economically, but while the parents are working 12 hour shifts the kids go astray. Also, we know less of whats happening in Punjab unless we care enough to read the newspaper...which a lot are in punjabi so you can't read it unless someone taught you which was unlikely cuz parents on 12 hour shift. By the time you decide you shoulda learned to read/write the language you think you're too old to sit in a class of lil kids at the sunday skool in gurdwara....make the big picture connection.

2. Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale was a GREAT leader for the Sikhs...lot of influence. People had a sense of direction...there was someone in charge with huge backing intending to make changes for us. After his passing however, there has been a huge lack of leadership. There is no one in charge honestly. The administration has fallen apart and people are doing whatever they please (taking maharaj to bars/halls....all sorts of other beadbi with maharaj in the house....ppl not following hukams from Akal Takht...etc list goes on almost forever sadly). Sikh quam is in chaos and others are taking advantage of it. (I learned this from history of ancient civilization class...when Alexander the Great died his generals divided up India into provinces but they failed to set up an administration so the empire fell--->lack of legitimate leadership and control).

So basically...we need an influential leader to rise to this occasion, grab the reins and steer us in the right direction and attack the false propaganda about sikhi. SGPC and Akal Takht have minimal control in my opinion...if they really were Leaders all this BS shouldn't have happened in the first place. We need unity...all these jathas need to come together and when we have a greater quantity we can make a difference (keeping in mind that we got quality too). Majority usually rules.

I think instead of waiting for leaders, we should act fast. First we should create awareness among people of punjab. I had a talk with guyz in punjab and they dont know ANYTHING abt it!

First we should create awareness and in a very positive way. Remember RSS and other organisations use unity of sikhs and hindus as their defence. We should atleast educate our people(sikhs) that we are not hindus. I have met sikhs who say we are part of hinduism. So creating awareness is MUST!

I am going to India this spring. I will take the copies of the documentry with me and try to show them ATLEAST in gurudwaras around my localities.

Its a real big problem. Things will be out of our hands pretty soon if we do not act. So do something around ur localities. Send copies of documentry to India so that atleast our people stand besides us.

What do u guys thinks?

I think if things go out of hand then we should act according to the bachans of baba jarnail singh ji khalsa.....he inspired great sikh youth to kill the dushts(lala hardiyal) of sikh panth. He was a great leader who knew what can happen in future. We can easily see his vision after reading these articles.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa,

Waheguru ji ki fateh.

Dear Sangat Ji

THis is nothing but a propaganda to earn sikh votes and trust by BJP.... its a history that BJP has never won in Punjab and either its Akali or COngress.... Congress only wins when Akali... the most disgusting party who says of representing sikj religion starts fighting within each other..... so the main aim is to get sikh support and nothing else.... by doing this they trying to enter SGPC so that they can get hold of sikh religous body and do whatever they want... they have been atttempting this during the badal time...by gods grace badal is not in power this time... but his puppet Bibi Jagir Kaur is the president of SGPC and which is very bad news...... So this is all fake propaganda and they have got alot of sikh protest against various articles in punjab..... everybody know that BJP is a very religious party and its a slow poision.... once it will get into full power in center everybody will come to know how rude and hindu sided this party is... nothing much has been done coz at that time the centre government and state governemtn was of BJP and AKali and sikh being minority can be easily controlled.... it should be the moral duty of the so called sikh representatives (Akali dal) to not let such things happens and support sikh religion and people against it....

Fateh

Raju ji, all hindus are not bad. There are some who don't want khalsa panth to be united.

Do not club all hindus together. Also, hindus who dedicate one son to sikhs are the people who are not 'akritghan'. Who knows that khalsa gave their lives to save their izzat.

There are still many hindus who just want to destroy sikhi. RSS is an organisation which is full of those kinda people.

BTW what do u think after reading this article? Inquisitive minds would like to know

I dont know the exact translation in english but its something like......if A did some favor for B in the past but B doesn't care about that favor now and start acting against A without taking into account A's supreme sacrifices.

I dont know if I cleared it for u or further confused u.

Sorry about that veer ji...but my english is not that great.

SGPC needs to be reformed. They are basically sitting on their growing bums while all this propaganda is happening. Aren't they usually LATE to respond to key issues? Thats what it seems like to me but I could be very wrong. Isn't it their job to lead the way in creating awareness about sikhi in Punjab at least? There is loads of parchaar happening on cyber world but in real world that is not happening...the marketing strategy is poor...they are missing the target people.

Every Christian in the world knows the name of their Pope. Out of the 22 million Sikhs how many know the name of the jathedar at Akal Takht? How many know who the representative Panj Pyare are today? no.gif

    • Umm, that's totally irrational, bro. There are plenty of prakash-dara Singhs in Punjab (less than we'd like, but still plenty). No one cares that you are sabat soorat. It isn't 1986. You can walk around in chola, kurta-pajama, or jeans. Whatever. If you want the look @dallysingh101 is referring to, just go into a cheap clothing shop (not a Western-style mall) and buy some shirts for 250 rupees or a track suit for 2000 rupees. You'll get the cheap stuff made in some sweatshop in Bombay.
    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
