If some one crashes in to your car or bull dozes your house who should pay for it? You or the persons responsible?

The Akal Thakat, SGPC etc were dilly dalling between public opinion at that time the daksalis had a strangle hold of the entire situation, it made political sense to find an escape goat. Santa Singh was wrongly alienated for taking Government funds to rebuild the Thakat.

If the original Thakat was suitable for the sixth master why was it disfigured by the daksalis?
