Story about matha teking and offering: Sache Patsah

After Jahangir releases Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, they become friends. One day, they had there encampments and separate tents outside a city. One poor and bhola Sikh asks Jahangir "Are you Sache Patsah?" for he had heard that Guru Ji was in town. Since Jahangir was also referred to as sache patsah, Jahangir replies yes, so the Sikh gives two tikke and a bundle of grass and teks mathaa to Jahangir. He later figures out that Guru Hargobind Ji was not Jahangir, and goes back to Jahangir. "I apologize badshah ji, but i was looking for my sache patsah" and takes his grass and two tikke back.

Of course, Jahangir took this as a dishonor "I will give you any amount of money and riches you wish to present to your Guru, but don't take this stuff back"

Sikh replies: "Nope, THIS was meant to be given to my Sache Patsah, and so only THIS can be taken back." He takes his stuff back and goes into Maharaj Ji's tent and presents it to Guru Maharaj, and is blessed for his bhola faith.

Its a good thing to give money to the temple, they provide meal 3 times a day, pay bills, worker ect..... when u give money to guru's its showing them that u r give up on thing in life that can currpt a person.

Its not 40% for sure. No one said Giani Thakur Singh is a liar but people are bound to commit mistakes and this is not a big deal. Moreover, muslims make their donations for a muslim cause which shouldn't be the case in Sikhi.

another big point thats being missed is that when Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj gave the gur guddi to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, he placed 5 paasay INFRONT of Maharaj along with a coconut, this was to a way to pass the gur guddi and to give his respects to the new guru. Same thing were just giving our respects, in no way am i saying that we should think that only if we metha tahk money were payin respect or our ardaas will be herd. Please Correct me if im wrong.
